  1. Wouldn’t say it’s baffling, just a lack of options. Besuijen and Bavidge were the only unused attacking subs and I wouldn’t expect either of them to have made a difference. The team was playing well so no point making changes just for the sake of it.
  2. It's also Stirling Highland Games next to the stadium that day and Stirling had asked for and been given an away league tie as the council don't want them playing at home while the highland games are on. I'm assuming they must draw a much larger crowd even for a league game than the uni does.
  3. That was the league cup thread, this is the the league cup thread - and now that the Dons are in it, it's in the right place...
  4. Tried to edit it but must’ve missed the deadline also hadn’t read the post in the other fitba room before starting this one… Monday, monday
  5. Away to Stirling Albion. They pumped St Johnstone 5-0 on Saturday so must have something about them, need to be wary but a tie we should be looking to sail through. Can't find Utd's tie listed anywhere, I'm sure the draw will be updated soon To be played the weekend of the 19th/20th.

  7. Richardson out on loan to Stockport. https://www.afc.co.uk/2023/07/26/richardson-joins-hatters-on-loan/
  8. Oh utd, never change
  9. Being “hailed” as utd’s worst ever result. Jim Goodwin, what a guy.
  10. When do we play Dundee Utd?
  11. I like it. Potential cult classic.
  12. It’s certainly a bold move but they’ve obviously had his replacement lined up and expect the new guy to have a higher ceiling than O’Neill. It’s a bit like replacing a player who hasn’t done anything wrong with another one who you think will just be that bit better. We’re used to that approach with players but it’s very unorthodox to do the same to a manager.
  13. Kennedy, Campbell, Watkins and McLennan confirmed as away, along with Hancock, Fatona and Oluyemi from the youths. https://www.afc.co.uk/2023/06/13/end-of-season-2022-23-squad-update/?fbclid=IwAR3tGTQTIrNKfW9gKUuBxi9IUojm17SQLRD3iebSDuadA1euw8xwtser9_E
  14. We don’t want them to win, we just want Inverness to lose. And we’re getting what we want so happy days.
  15. In a shock move, the club have announced the signing of Livingston captain Nicky Devlin
  16. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65668932 Devlin confirming that he's confirmed, even though it's not quite confirmed...
  17. I reckon Devlin's just the type of player we should be signing. A better player from another premier league club, within budget and can do a job. His age isn't ideal but given we need quite a few players this summer - especially in his position - then I think it's a good move. You wouldn't necessarily want a team full of "best of the rest" type players but a handful, mixed in with well scouted signing from abroad such as Duk and Miovski and promising youth of our own and I think we'd be on the right track.
  18. You're a lucky, lucky man to be old enough to have memories of those years.
  19. This went way over my head until I read about it elsewhere, but if you google the lyrics to the song Let's Get Down to Business from the movie Mulan...
  20. That was pretty quick!
  21. Livi are horrible to play against, we’ve got a team of “limited” ability in some positions - not to mention zero confidence - and a caretaker manager. A 1-0 win under those circumstances is a great result so well done to Robson and the players.
  22. Turned out he had absolutely nothing to reveal whatsoever.
  23. Richard Gordon has apparently said that he might have news on the next Dons manager when the well game is done. That gives me the absolute fear.
  24. I’m getting at Cormack having made a rip roaring cunt of the two appointments he’s made so far. He’s really got to get this one right - or leave it to Burrows - or he’ll be on a very sticky wicket himself. Rushing an appointment or effectively guessing at who he should give the job two are not going to increase the odds of him getting it right this time, and giving it to Strachan would be absolutely mental. Having a new man coming in to run the club in 9 days and appointing a manager before he gets in would be almost criminal.
  25. Operations failing and patients dying all over the place this afternoon. Mainly in defence as usual.
