  1. If Robson is wrong then he's a symptom of the actual problem rather than the problem itself. Changing manager is another sticking plaster until the structure of the club is changed. Forgive the obvious analogy but we're kinda similar to Man Utd in that regard and against that backdrop I don't think it's particularly fair to heap all the blame on a manager in his first job.
  2. Unless relegation becomes an issue - which it won't this season - I'm a believer in giving a manager a full season to see how things play out, rather than react in periods of relative isolation. Especially when your manager is young and/or inexperienced. It's a big if, but beat Dundee tomorrow and we're six points off fourth. With the memory of how the second half of last season panned out, sacking a manager who did alright in Europe, has been in one cup final already and is still challenging for a European place could be viewed as mental or, more realistically, just repeating the same old pattern that has failed us since McInnes came to the end of his time. I'm aware I'm in a minority here but I'm ok with zooming out and taking a longer term, big picture view and giving Robson getting the rest of this season to see how he fares.
  3. 1 up front isn’t an issue as long as you get plenty support up and with McGrath in the team that’s highly likely. The lack of actual wide players is definitely problematic though.
  4. Keeper, two centre backs, two full backs, all the central midfielders and miovski. The right team based on the squad we’ve got but we’re crying out for wingers.
  5. Mikey Johnston would be a good signing if it was permanent and not another loan. I don't think it's realistic though as he's an international and I reckon would get offered more money elsewhere. If we go to four at the back permanently then I don't think we need a right back as we've an abundance of centre backs, so using Gartenmann and Milne to cover for Devlin should be fine. Not like we've got too many games where we'd need to rotate the team either. As Rico says, width is what we need if we're going 4-5-1 from now on.
  6. Dadia confirmed as being away back to his parent club.
  7. Sixth when he was hired, 20th now. A joke of an appointment and if you were a Birmingham fan you’d be wanting the clown(s) who appointed him gone as well.
  8. Getting ready for his big move north next week…
  9. Exactly that. For all most people - probably justifiably - complain when players throw themselves to the ground at the tiniest of contact, they've really got to if they won't get the decision if they don't. Poor officiating is the cause but Gartenmann should have gone down yesterday and given the officials as decision to make.
  10. He's also shite so that's surely got to be taken into consideration?
  11. The pricing is horrendous. They know there are enough brain dead bigots to pay whatever they ask so the rest of us have to suffer the consequences. Citing segregation as contributory factor in the allocation is also bollocks as there have been Scottish Cup finals with a 50/50 split.
  12. Here’s one for the inevitable “hibs were robbed/we stole that” chat.
  13. That’s a penalty in every country bar Scotland (excluding the home penalty boxes at ibrox and parkhead).
  14. Barron in for Polvara the only change from the well game
  15. He's here until Christmas anyway... a cup semi is acceptable - albeit the bare minimum - and we're a game in hand away from 4th place. Against the backdrop of basically a whole new team and the distraction of Europe then he's doing alright, if not exactly setting the world on fire.
  16. I'd agree with your thinking in principle but if we can't find or afford a decent experienced manager, who are we getting to be the young guy's boss? Craigie Broon was the man for the job and probably did it with McInnes but who's kicking about like that now and - probably most importantly - does Cormack know where to find them?
  17. Fuck var and fuck football. What’s the point in any of it?
  18. Ibrox in particular is 100 times the stadium Hampden is. Better accessibility, better potential to create an atmosphere and a better view of the game. I’d still knock the fucker down in a heartbeat tho…
  19. That's a joke, especially with three weeks' notice.
  20. Roos gartenmamn ruby Jensen devlin shinnie clarkson mcgrath mcgarry duk miovski Can’t be far off our strongest team, you could debate McDonald for ruby and one of the new boys for duk but otherwise it’s about as good as we could put out. No excuses today. COYR.
  21. I'm in agreement with those who say we need a Ramadani replacement, particularly if we're going to continue with three at the back. Without another covering midfielder, we'll struggle every time we play a good team. It's early days in the season and I'm still confident that the team will come together - and that when it does we'll be better than last season and comfortably the third best team in the league.
  22. I want the four weakest teams we could possibly get. Fuck knows who they are mind you as they all look decent enough
  23. "I am sorry for those offended," isn't a real apology though. There are undoubtedly massive issues within the Spanish FA and this has probably brought them all to a head.
  24. Robson says Jensen isn't going to play tomorrow but they wanted to make sure his registration got through yesterday so that he's available for next week.
