  1. Not that there was ever any doubt but Neymar really is a wee wanker. He posted on Instagram last night that his only regret is not punching the guy in the face rather than the back of the head. Aye, like he'd have been brave enough to do that.
  2. It wasn't her or the police force under her control who did anything in either of these situations though, so you can't use them as examples of it being illegal to voice a different opinion in Scotland.
  3. I'm also at a loss as to what Piers Corbyn or "a barber shop in Liverpool" have to do with Nicola Sturgeon.
  4. If it’s the democratic governors to blame for the riots, how come it’s only happened since trump got into power?
  5. Sanders, given that we’ve got a poster here who already thinks the dems are “too left” and warren, simply because she’s a woman. Not that I think either of them would necessarily be great presidents but they would be less appealing to the middle ground than Biden.
  6. Is it possible that the democrats are afraid that Trump might well win again and so have put up a “safe” candidate rather than risk one of their better candidates in this election?
  7. Aye, true. Just seems odd that two of them would be out for longer than the others, unless they had contact with whoever was infected beyond the Saturday night.

    Phobia

As someone who shares the fear/hatred of snakes, thanks very much for posting the pics...
  9. Reading between the lines here, looks like it was McKenna and Anderson who actually caught COVID as Hayes, Kennedy, McGeouch and Bryson all available for tomorrow night, with Cosgrove and Devlin injured anyway. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53839625 Apologies if this isn't news and I'm repeating something posted elsewhere.
  10. I think McRorie as a deep midfielder offers more than anyone else we've got in there (except maybe Campbell). He's got a bit of dig about him but is also pretty decent on the ball, a combination I haven't seen from Ojo or McGeouch. I think he'll pair well with Ferguson and will be useful in all games rather than just the ones we're not favourites in. He'll hopefully provide the dig that's been missing since Shinnie left. Agree with the suggestion that Campbell should go on loan, unless we really are offloading Bryson, McGeough and Ojo. I'd be delighted to see a midfield three of Ferguson, McRorie and Campbell this season.
  11. That Tweet appears to have been deleted. Rumour is Devlin and Bryson refused to pay the fines for the COVID thing so probably a bit less straightforward than "your shite, see you later". Ab Mad rumours have it that there could be a big turnover of players in the next couple of weeks.
  12. In general terms McRorie could be a good signing but there isn't a single one of the many positions he's played in his career that we need to fill at the moment. Seems like a bit of a Football Manager signing: oh he's decent, will sign him in case he turns out really good and so that no-one else can have him. Unless one or two are on their way out of course.
  13. Edmondson confirmed. Loan deal until January.
  14. Rules: 1. One name per points tally for the season, first come first served! 2. Only allowed to change prediction until closure of January transfer window as along as it is to an empty tally. 78 77 76 75 74 MBT 73 72 71 70 69 68 67 66 - Manc_don 65 64 - Wee Toon Red 63 62 - BigAl 61 60 59 58 57 56 55 54 - Tom_Widdows 53 52 51 50 49 48 47 46 45 44 43 42 41 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22 21 20 -------
  15. You've never met a racist person? Wow. Sheltered life or more likely you wouldn't recognise one given some of the stuff in your post.
  16. Apparently the Watford owners were so appalled at the West Ham result they don't think Pearson is the man to get a result in either of the last two games. Strange approach but if they stay up they won't give a toss.
  17. Hayes officially announced: https://www.afc.co.uk/2020/06/23/jonnys-back/ Good scoop Big Al
  18. I see we’ve started talking to “management, players and staff” about wage cuts as the board expect to be playing behind closed doors until January. Got to say, while it’s worrying in itself, if the claim posted elsewhere about signing Hayes on a two year deal is true, I’d be absolutely raging if I worked at Pittodrie and I was asked to take a pay cut while a new player was signed.
  19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52797428 Strachan not messing about.
  20. I don't disagree at all but if the cream of the crop end up going down south then so be it, it just makes room for other players to come through. I think at first we'd see exactly what you've suggested but over time, if the system works, players would be quite happy to spend a couple of years of guaranteed playing time whether it's with Hamilton or whoever and then move on, especially if they get paid the same at Hamilton as Celtic or whatever.
  21. You don't need to sell a revolution based on sporting fairness to me. Personally I'd go full NFL, with youth development delegated to around 6-8 regions of the country and draft allocations once players reach 21, salary caps, all transfer fees from players sold to foreign leagues centralised and reinvested in facilities etc.
  22. Other than massively increasing the number of teams relegated, how would anyone avoid the "meaningless game" scenario in an 18/20 team league? Surely there are meaningless games in England, Germany and Spain every year but I don't see much clamour there to go down to 10 or 12 teams.
  23. The reason, apparently, is the apparently "massive" ( ) new deal from Sky which was due to start in August 2020. The clubs shat themselves that Sky might withdraw if there was a delay to the start of the 20/21 season due to 19/20 having still to be finished.
  24. Number of cases stats are almost entirely meaningless unless testing is open to everyone. For all we know, 50m people in the UK could have it, making the number of deaths miniscule. Even the death stats themselves aren't hugely accurate.
