  1. In 0-2 (Cosgrove, Wilson) Edit.....changed my mind on the score. May is now settled in their side. I think it's inevitable he will score on Sunday. But we will still prevail. 1-2
  2. It's been fairly common knowledge that Shankland is on £4.5k/week bankrolled by the United owner via some creative accounting scheme to make it legit. And has a tidy bonus scheme for achieving certain goal scoring targets on top....which he is currently not just achieving but positively smashing. As an all-round footballer he's pretty shite. But the boy can finish...younger version or Rooney, maybe marginally better in the air. And now a full Scotland cap. United will make a tidy profit on him when he inevitably heads off to pastures new next summer....maybe even in January. If this is the model that Cormack envisages then I'm all for it. The Gallagher deal is maybe a hint of what's to come. Sadly he has proven to be a bit of a damp squib but the USA is a huge country and if we can get a decent scouting set-up established over there then there will more than a few gems just waiting to be harvested and desperate to join up with the intention of putting themselves in the shop window for future transfers into Europe's top leagues.
  3. That's essentially what I heard and posted on another thread a couple of weeks back. But the way it was relayed to me, the investment was more to occur once the new stadium was built
  4. Why on earth we would give him a new contract again? Unless the contract extension he signed in January has a very low release clause it would make no sense. I'm hoping it is Milne heading off into the sunset
  5. I don't remember actually. But whilst I certainly have grave reservations about migration I most certainly am not racist and will thank you to withdraw your allegation
  6. And what proven racism against Muslims would that be???
  7. If Labour got in on a majority by themselves (more chance of us signing Cristiano Ronaldo) they'd bankrupt the country in short order. Whacking extra taxes on the top 5% of earners just won't go far enough to cover all their madcap spending. Free internet for all actually seems one of their better ideas.....but I think most folk these days get their internet as part of a package along with their telephone and TV services. The private companies would take their pay off for the internet...….then within a few months at most just fire on an increase in costs to the customer for the remaining TV and phone service. There is a small chance they could get in by forming a coalition with the SNP/Lib Dems/Plaid Cymru and various smaller parties/independents. Fuck that. Corbyn as Prime Minister is bad enough. Throw in Emily Thornberry as Foreign Secretary, Diane Abbot as Home Secretary (surely they wouldn't??) and Rebecca Fucking-Long-Fucking Bailey as anything other than sticking stamps on envelopes......just makes a Tory administration seem a relatively sensible option. But it seems the only way of getting Indyref 2 on the cards in a fairly short amount of time. So hold on to your noses and pray that Farage's ensemble of fuckwits split the Tory vote in Labour marginals down south.
  8. Hearts was never a realistic option for Ross having been booted out for (allegedly) giving one (well giving quite a lot actually) to the female physio. Granny Budge was furious he wasn't including her in his extra-time activities.....
  9. It 100% stops repeat offenders Your argument falls down because prison/fines/community punishments quite obviously don't work either as they haven't stopped other crimes. I absolutely guarantee barbarically executing murderers and paedos and letting the country see the deed happening would cut rates of those offences within a very short timescale.
  10. Totally with RS on this. Capital punishment works and live executions on TV most certainly would deter others. And absolutely concur on making the process as painful as possible. Paedos should have their balls and knobs cut off with a rusty knife. And then their hands and feet. Female paedos should have a red hot metal rod inserted up them. Fantastic prime time TV for all
  11. I just don't think we would entertain an offer from sevco under any circumstances. He's under contract till 2024 so we hold all the cards. The board are well aware of the damage it would cause to the relationship with supporters were they to roll over at sevco's behest. Today's newspaper story has the rancid stench of that obese bigot Traynor all over it. A pre transfer window attempt to unsettle the player and of course sevco are due in town in the not too distant future ana. I wish Traynor nothing more than a cerebral haemhorrage that doesn't kill him but leaves the cunt unable to anything for himself, paralysed, unable to communicate and swimming in his own piss and shit
  12. So it seems that with (nearly) a full squad to pick from we are indeed "best of the rest". The Edinburgh clubs will have new managers by the time the international break is over and I'd expect both of them to start climbing the table prior to the New Year break. As long as we don't suffer another injury crisis, I'd expect us to at least maintain the current gap, allowing for their game in hand. Motherwell and Killie just don't have the squads to maintain their relative positions to us and I'd expect them both to be on similar points totals to Hibs and Hearts come mid-season. The problem we face is that the arse cheeks are now so strong that both can field second choice elevens and beat the majority of teams in the league, They might even be able to do it against us although I don't think they'd risk that given that as it stands all that separates them is one goal after a third of the season. We've got sevco coming up early December and it could well be that the league is settled by who loses the least amount of points to us over the season. Hopefully we can do a bit of damage to the sevconian challenge. Leigh is becoming an important fixture in midfield, supplying the "drive" that we have missed since Shinnie left. We're supposedly looking to exercise our right-to-buy option on him early. Not sure if that means we have to wait till January or if the loan terms (and SFA rules) allow us to do it right now but let's hope we can get it done and dusted asap as his form of late will no doubt be starting to make other clubs pay attention. Consi's next match for us will be his 500th club appearance. Over the years he's had his detractors.....but his service can not be questioned and seems to have improved with age. I'm not sure we will ever see another player reach this milestone. As has been said.....the break has come at the wrong time for us just as we are starting to get some momentum. Hivs destroyed St J at the weekend but I certainly don't expect us to stick 4 past them on the league resumption. Noted that May got another goal....that's 2 in 9 whch I suppose isn't bad in a side sitting second bottom. Certainly beats his goal ratio with us by quite a distance. Wouldn't bet against him getting one against us.
  13. Probably jinxing the result now but I've lumped on us today in my accumulator (alongside Spurs, Ipswich and Sunderland) The way McInnes is speaking it doesn't sound like the Cosgrove/Main partnership will start today, although he might just be trying to throw County off the scent. Surely to god Logan has to be dropped, Vyner dropping back to replace him and Bryson coming in to the midfield. 1-3 (Hedges, Ferguson, Cosgrove)
  14. Dhims qualify and sevco now looking very likely to follow them in the Europa League. Extra Champions League spot incoming. Still think we need a strong sevco Wiggy? What a fucking bellend you really are
  15. O'Neill would minimum double his NI salary at Stoke. He'd be mad not to take it. McInnes would have no choice but to accept it if offered. He would be finished as even a candidate down south if he turned it down
  16. Their main target is Michael O'Neill. I suspect the quoted odds for McInnes of 28/1 is a more accurate reflection of his chances than what the Retard are making out. That said......I hope Stoke miss out on all their targets and DM lands it by default. Getting him out the door and getting paid compo on top would be a gargantuan Brucie bonus
  17. I've heard talk (absolutely nothing substantiated so don't take anything as gospel) that Milne is pretty close to being ready to walk away, selling pretty much all of his shareholding. Cormack will take over as chairman and a few of the present board will be leaving (booted??) as well. To be replaced by Americans. And once the new stadium is up there will be genuine investment in the team to try to break the dominance currently held by Celtic (sevco ana but they've won hee haw as yet) Make of it what you will
  18. Can't be arsed looking to see where in the approval it is mentioned but heres the bit of the application that mentions it and Sport Facilities, Football Academy And Stadium (Circa 20,000 Capacity), Formation Of Access And All Associated Parking, Landscaping And Engineering Works’ on land at West Kingsford (north of the A944 Road), Skene Road, Aberdeen. Stadium 3.2 The proposed 20,000 capacity, all-seated stadium would be located to the western part of the site, approximately 50m from its southern boundary and 100m from its western boundary respectively. The stadium itself would measure approximately 180 metres by 145 metres, achieving a height of just over 20m and an overall footprint of approximately 24,250sqm. The stadium would be sited approximately 17 degrees off an east-west orientation, with its stands encircling the pitch completely, including the four corners. Seating within the stadium would be laid out in a single-tier ‘bowl’ arrangement. 3.3 The stadium’s exterior would be finished in dark grey facing brick at low level, set slightly back from the coloured polycarbonate cladding to walls above. These vertical cladding panels, in shades of red through to white, are translucent and would create a subtle red glow from within the internally lit concourse areas at night. This translucency would also allow for diffuse natural light to illuminate the concourse during hours of daylight. 3.4 Externally, the south stand incorporates silver/grey aluminium rainscreen cladding which is extruded out from the face of the remainder of that elevation to surround an extensively glazed face, framed by a darker grey cladding. This glazed frontage takes advantage of the southern elevation and allows light in to hospitality suites and other internal spaces. 3.5 The south-east corner of the stadium includes a projecting section, clad in the same polycarbonate vertical cladding in shades of red and white. This extruded corner identifies the club shop at ground floor level, and its outer face above is identifies as a potential location for signage, with the club crest embossed into the cladding panels and softly illuminated from within. 3.6 Floodlighting to illuminate the playing surface is incorporated within the design of the stadium roof, angled downwards to reduce light spillage outwith the arena. The roof itself is angled at 11 degrees, achieving a height of 21m from the pitch to the underside of the roof cladding material. It would be finished with a silver aluminium cladding panel, with exposed steelwork above and below to be painted white. To the rear of the seated tier a translucent polycarbonate panelling would be used to allow in diffuse light. The seating within the single-tier stand would comprise three ‘rakes’, with seating becoming steeper from pitchside to the rear of the stand incrementally, at 2
  19. It is what it is... I felt this season should have been the natural parting of ways with us and McInnes but he has the new contract and so is pretty much bulletproof unless, as I keep saying, he leads us into a relegation dogfight or the fans become so disenchanted after a long losing (or at least winless) streak that has crowds plunging to levels where we are losing money. I also absolutely get what his supporters counteract with......that be careful what you wish for as we might end up with someone worse. Both Edinburgh clubs' supporters must be thinking right now that whoever they get in can only improve things. From the position they are in, it's probably true. From the position we are in....yeah there is no guarantee that any new manager could maintain us in 3rd/4th position. And without a massive injection of funds to the playing side certainly couldn't get us any higher in the league. I'd like to have seen us taking a gamble on a new man to freshen things up....the board took a different view and I understand why even if I disagree with it. What will never change is that I'll never ever want us to lose a game just to see a manager sacked
  20. Just been reading elsewhere that the height restriction for the whole site is 21m. Which isna very high at all. It was why the club have been saying that steep sides on the stadium are pretty much a no no. Id imagine Joe kicking from hand (or any keeper) using his normal technique, the ball would reach higher than that at the top of its arc. As would many clearances by defenders just aiming to get the ball out of play. No problem in a roofless stadium. Big problem on a covered training pitch which might well get utilised for some youth team matches. Last thing you want is bits of lighting raining down on you
  21. Main been our best player so far. Vyner not far behind. Logan having his customary nightmare. Should really be comfortable but looks like McInnes has told them to go into game management mode. Has taken one outstanding save by Lewis from a deflection and one very lucky one where the ball seemed to hit his face to ensure we remain 2 up. We looked far better having a go at them.... Anyway so far so good. COYR!
  22. I guess it was inevitable Hope he gets a hat trick now
  23. Main is just a bizarre move. I presume he must be working well in training games alongside Cosgrove but there's a big difference between that and a real SPL match. I really hope it works and they both get amongst the goals but by fuck McInnes better be prepared for the backlash if it goes tits up
  24. It won't weaken them domestically. They took a punt on Morelos....remember he was signed to be third choice behind the 2 Mexican duds. And their punt has paid off handsomely.....he will get sold for offers over £10million and they make make a good bit more than that figure. When they do....they'll pay maybe £8million cash to pay off most of their transfer debts (sevco have a habit of paying up in instalments for all their signings so the full £10million they owe is unlikely to be due there and then). They'll then reinvest the £2million on another striker who will be more than good enough in SPL terms to at least keep sevco where they are......and who might make them another profit 2 years down the line.
  25. I'm sure I read that they do intend to do so as phase 3....after the stadium is built. IIRC they just wanted to get the training ground up and running as quick as possible without running into further planning application difficulties. As I said on another thread.....there are height restrictions imposed on the whole site. I agree another million on top of the final cost of phase 1 would have enabled us to do it but it might have given the W.A.N.K.S more ammo in their quest to have had the whole project abandoned
