Another AbMadder seeking sanctuary

What's happening now on Abmad for the influx?

The place is horrendous basically.

You need to authenticate after every few minutes, you write a reply to someone's post and if you take longer than a couple of minutes to post it then you have to log back in, after authenticating of course, and if you didn't copy what you wrote initially then you have to re-write it all again.

Over the years more and more posters have departed and it's just a hardy few that post regularly.

I'm sure there'll be other AbMad folk that'll have their own complaints with it.

As administrators of this site, we won't claim to be the busiest site in terms of posting BUT we are certainly a far more sensible bunch on here than a certain other site I could think of.

Hope you guys and any others you bring over with you understand that, stick around and I am sure you will bring something positive to the site.

Another Madder jumping ship.

First attempt to sign up failed, no validation email, hence the full stop in my name now.

Some of us have been talking about making this move for years now but keen not to upset your applecart so thanks for the welcome BigAl

We did have a problem for a while that the validation email wasn't going out correctly

Another defector from AbMad. I won't offer much by way of in-depth expert analysis, and hopefully you don't feel we are all interloping chancers looking to take over. We come in peace.......and a better experience.

another Ab fab defector who just tried to sign up, but basically made an arse of it

Any chance Admin could go in and delete the account just created for The_Moog as I had a typo in the email address used, so cant validate the account via email as the email address doesn’t exist.

Quite busy in here these days. Just a little warning to the new posters, some of the guys on here can get a little bit precious about general board etiquette. Things like starting new topics where others already exist, instead of taking the time to search for it. I'm not one to get too bothered by such things, but beware the forum Nazis.

Hiya folks .... I signed up here a long time ago but never posted. Known as NaeMairNeeps on AbMad, looking to shift my attention from AbMad to Donstalk. Look forward to chatting with you all, and hopefully contribute something of value ... as well as the usual silly crap

I've been on this planet for 44 yrs now, and soon to be 45.

 

Although I now stay in Costa Del Ayrshire, I'm originally from Aberdeenshire and very proud of it.

 

For five years ran a boys football club, but retired in the summer of last year.

First game at the Pit was v Falkirk in 1972, a 2-2 draw

 

Looking forward to a European adventure in the autumn
