  1. I believe something happened between Scott and the club/McInnes that made him seek a move away and the manner in which it come about. I reckon it was seeing Curtis Main on the training pitch and realising the club are never going to progress with a signing of that standard. If we get offered a few million for him we should bite the buyers hand off, but ensure a sell on clause in the deal also. No point having someone at the club if they don't want to be here.
  2. I fancy us for the 3 points this Saturday. Will be a backs to the wall performance from us. Be interested this week to see what the line up will be given injuries and suspension 2-1 - Cosgrove and McKenna COYR
  3. All I can add is that the lad left us and went on to improve himself as a footballer and has made a bit of a name for himself. He admits himself he let himself down whilst here. I doubt no matter how hard he had tried that he would have made a name for himself with us due to how we play with one striker up front. Bruce Anderson is possibly more like Shankland in that he is a finisher and who I suspect will have to leave if he wants to play football as how we play doesn't suit his style. You know you are doomed when your manager prefers to start Curtis Main up front ahead of you alongside Sam.
  4. I don't know too much about Robinson, but fair play to the guy, he has changed their style of play and moved away from the Main/Bowman partnership to a more mobile front pairing and apparently they have been playing some decent stuff this term. He also put his trust in their youth players, which seems to have paid off to a degree for the moment. Also, he was a guy who some Motherwell fans wanted sacked after a poor start to last season, but they stuck with him and had a strong finish to last season. Like posted above, I don't think we have to worry about any potential new manager anytime soon.
  5. I don't think Strachan would come up here and I have to admit to not wanting him. I think any visit he made to the training complex would have been as Technical Director at Dundee, or possibly ex players have been invited out to see it. A great player in the red jersey, but I don't really like his management style and the way he comes across in the media. I don't think Ross is a bad shout though, 10 losses in 74 games isn't a bad record, even better when you take into account the car crash he took on and just having the largest budget doesn't always mean instant success. Keane was never going to be a great manager as he cannot deal with players who aren't as good or committed as he was or the guys he played alongside.
  6. I forgot to mention towards the end of the game on Saturday when the scores were level, that Hibs had just had a chance, but Joe saved us and then McKenna was telling him to hold off playing the ball and just to keep it. Joe told McKenna to get his arse up the field and try and get a winner. It was in injury time, but I liked that from Joe. Gets a bit of stick for being the Captain, but I thought that spoke volumes about his attitude.
  7. I think the zombie club rising up the divisions to now sit top of the table is what is hurting most of us knowing that back in 2012, when Rangers went bust that it should have been a new dawn for our game up here, seven years on we are back to a position of Celtic and another team from Glasgow who wear blue being back at the top of our league and folk being happy about this, our own chairman included. If the zombie club were to win the league this season, I think a lot of supporters of a lot of teams will give up on the Scottish game for good.
  8. I wouldn't have said we started playing after Main got sent off, we were still shit for a good while after he went, but we put a good fight for the last 10 minutes.
  9. Well we played our get out of jail card, but boy that was a hard watch. You know the sort of day you are going to have when you see Curtis Main line up alongside big Sam and we were pretty much garbage. To be fair to Main he did run around a lot, but I don't see anything other than a carthorse. Sam just keeps on scoring, but some of his all round play is poor, a couple of times he did some decent work only to put the ball out wide to the wrong player, which was frustrating in an afternoon like today. A great header for the equaliser though We can only be thankful we got that point as they really should have given us a doing. They do pass the ball around well though, but they were let down badly by that striker Doige? who we tried to sign at some point. I'll take the point, but boy we are terrible and I heard that McInnes didn't do the media interview after the match, which I found strange. Never mind Brexit, I just want dexit
  10. Good to hear. We can speak about his limitations, but he is a guy who doesn't let you down and he doesn't hide and boy do we miss him.
  11. The thing that worries me when DM does go is that Milne will fuck up with the next appointment I think that is why he clearly hold McInnes in such high regard as he has been his best appointment to date, which i don't think anyone can argue with, but clear to most of us that his time is up. I could imagine Milne going for Derek Adams, but I am not seeing anyone at another club who is impressing enough to take a punt on, but it won't be Roy Keane. A bit of a long shot, but I would like to see us go for Alex Neal at Preston.
  12. I thought Alloa played well and for a part time team they played some decent football at times, should have scored more than the one though. Never realised that Peter Grant was their manager. Get some decent games from that division on a Friday night.
  13. I see the tories won a council seat in Aberdeen yesterday which I found a bit worrying. Years ago you may have said that people vote for the person at a local level and not the party, but I don't believe this to be the case anymore. I reckon people who still want to vote tory after recent events really need their heads looking at. You just know when an election is called they are still going to be the biggest party. I only hope the next time we get the chance to split from the UK we grab it with both hands and don't bottle it like 2014, but sadly I still think the majority will still believe the lies.
  14. I'll go 12k, only because it is Hibs.
  15. Certainly a truth to what you wrote, but the fact is we miss his drive and determination on the pitch, nobody to lead by example on it, he may not be the best player in the middle of the park and I believe he is a far better left back, but he has the heart of a lion. Now Derby are no great team, but it is quite sad he hasn't been given a chance, I think again his drive and determination would improve them as a team in that league, but clearly doesn't feature in the managers plans, how long their manager lasts is another matter. Sadly, I don't think he will come back to us.
  16. Fair play for making the trek up to the game this weekend, but I have to agree I cannot see McInnes changing his style for it.
  17. In for this one, but not looking forward to it. Probably wouldn't have bothered if I didn't have an Season Ticket. Looking for a big reaction from the players on Saturday, but they are usually screwed due to the tactics of the bearded one. I'll go for a 2-0 win through 2 Sam Cosgrove penalties.
  18. I was brave enough to watch the "highlights" this morning and I couldn't believe how bad we were, we were lucky it was only 5 at the end as they totally ripped us apart and could, if not should, have scored a few more. I am sure someone else posted it on here, but I would have sacked McInnes after that performance. They would have been brave to venture out in Aberdeen after that horror show.
  19. If he was to be punted out the door I could only see it being due to Cormack not liking him or his style, but i doubt he will be gone anytime soon. You would hope it is the beginning of the end though.
  20. 5-0, I feared a hammering and we duly got one, but by all accounts it was the manner of the defeat that really shocked. Greg Stewart is a good football player and wasn't used correctly when with us, but today he comes in from the cold and does well against us, but we have replaced him with James Wilson, an even better player who I still have no idea why he signed for us as it is clear he won't be used correctly either, but it's always the players fault for being shyte, though sometimes they just are. Fuck knows where we go from here, we are on a downward spiral at the moment and despite not thinking we will be in a relegation battle or anything like it, it is clear we need some fresh ideas on the pitch and highly doubt they are going to come from our manager. I think we have a decent enough squad, but our style just doesn't seem to suit them. At least Stewarty has got his wish with a strong and stable Rangers in the league, I hope he didn't jizz himself too much in the Ibrox boardroom after the game. 5-0
  21. I'd drive him back up the road tomorrow, we miss his drive and determination in midfield, he was an excellent Captain also. Maybe not the best player Derby have, but I bet if given a chance he wouldn't let them down, he has a tenacious streak to him which I think would work well in that league.
  22. I think when Labour lose the next election the party will switch back to the right and some Blair follower will take over the hotseat, I suspect Watson may well make a pitch for it. I don't see any upcoming politicians from any party that are worth a fuck, all I see are nodding dogs in suits/dresses who stick to the party line.
  23. Not looking forward to tomorrow in the slightest, feel we are capable of getting a real doing by them. Knowing McInnes, he will fluke a result against them and if he does I will gladly take it. Hopefully we can get through it without losing anymore players.
  24. There are a lot of Dons fans who don't go to games, who think by beating Rangers and finishing third in the league is as good as it gets. They also think that by getting rid of McInnes we will automatically be relegation fodder once again. When you actually go and watch us play it can be a fairly tedious 90 minutes and often caused by the fact we set out not to get beat, rather than win, which really pisses me off. I understand "It's a result based business" but you have to entertain the folk who do turn up to watch them, it really grates when we defend against lesser teams and have everyone back at corners. I still reckon the underlying reason is he doesn't really want to be here and I think the rot set in during Rangers bid for him at the end of 2017 and now he is just going through the motions, which is probably great for his bank balance but not so good on our eyes.
  25. Another sad thing is that his tenure has given us a lot of positives, regardless how you look at it, but he now risks leaving us with majority of fans being against him.
