  1. Can't say I was surprised at the score as we are so predictable. Kennedy thrown in at the deepend and will struggle to fit into or style whatever that style is. Was on getting tickets for the Killie cup game but struggling to spend £54 quid on the tickets with little chance of entertainment so held off. The BBC mentioned the booing on their website so hoping he starts getting some critics in the media instead of them harking on about how things were a few seasons ago.
  2. Was watching the Dunfermline v Dundee game last night and thought the boy Nisbet looked a decent player. I think he was with Thistle as a loon and tipped for big things which never really happened, dropped down a bit and has been rebuilding his career at Dunfermline, maybe a touch of the Shanklands about him in that he didn't put the effort in as a youngster and is taking his second chance. Hard to judge as Dundee were pretty gash, but I would like to think we are at least keeping tabs on players like this. Dunfermline was my first ever away game, a drab 0-0 Scottish Cup game back in January 1989 and I remember asking my Brother where the toilets were and he pointed me over to the wall around the terracing
  3. We need a win tomorrow and a decent performance. Not sure about the signing of Kennedy as don't see him fitting into the way McInnes sets us up, but hopefully he will prove me wrong because we need someone with something to make this team tick and we are fairly rank. St Mirren aren't a bad team at all and Goodwin has them playing decent football, so expect a tough game. 2-1 Sam & Kennedy (nae pressure loon )
  4. I didn't mean DM, just that any potential new guy would possibly have a more difficult time than with Milne. I don't actually hate McInnes, but it looks like he will leave us at some point and people will forget the decent job he did in his first few years due to him staying too long with us and will possibly be the end of his life as a manager. He had far to cosy a relationship with Milne and if he is indeed on anything like the numbers being spouted on here then we could well be stuck with him.
  5. I have a bit more faith with Cormack at the helm in replacing McInnes than I ever would have had with Milne. Might ve misplaced optimism in Cormack, but just get the feeling he knows a bullshitter when he sees one.
  6. This is what I think. Yes he scores the goals, but overall his game is terrible and if anyone offers us millions for him bite their hands off. Possibly not so much the lads fault, but more the gormless cunt we have as a manager who has failed to address our failings for a couple of seasons now and still persists in thinking he is right. We are just a predictable watch and I know we usually win more than we lose overall, we are still a terrible footballing side and very difficult to motivate yourself to drag your arse along to watch us. Our manager will celebrate 7 years at the helm in a matter of weeks and our new Chairman who seems to value entertainment at games needs to make a decision soon abour the direction the team is going in as we are going nowhere fast and I don't think our current manager can stop the rot.
  7. Not a surprise, but Gallagher FFS, impact sub as best, when he comes on and does his big Josh routine in running around until something happens off him.
  8. I'm not allowed to drive to to a medical condition and have to rely on buses to get out to Westhill for work from the City and can assure you the service is very poor. One of the said links has already been trialed and failed with the service having been withdrawn before Xmas. The Council just hasn't the funds to fund bus routes and the operators won't touch it as they won't be profitable without Council funding. A great place for a training facility, but not a football stadium.
  9. It's amazing how we see games differently as I thought Anderson had a decent game on Saturday and would say he had one bad miss, possibly trying too hard as he knows he doesn't score then he is dropped such is the way it is with out own youth. Thought his work rate and running were good and looks as though he is developing his game.
  10. Mclennan as with Anderson would both benefit with a run of games. McLennan should be given a chance up front as not a winger.
  11. Hopefully this means the end of Main, but still left wundering how we signed him in the first place.
  12. I think it would be good for Devlin to move on just hasn't happened for him up here, but I still reckon there is a decent player in him.
  13. I actually thought Anderson looked far better than Sam yesterday did a lot of running and at times we certainly weren't plying two up front. Sam throwing himself to the ground really does grip my shit. If he were to move whoever takes him still has a lot of work to do with the lad.
  14. And the stewards were getting themselves in a state about that. They deserved the abuse they got, seemed to be a different company doing the stewarding today.
  15. Well I enjoyed this afternoon with the Merkland experiment, was like being at an away game. Football wise we were up against a team that were well organised as you would expect from a team managed by Jim Duffy and who made things very difficult for us from an attacking sense, but boy we were wasteful at times and to be honest had periods where we looked just shyte, but should have been well out of reach by the time we got the penalty. McGeouch looks tidy and the type of player who isn't scared of the ball and can only assume Ojo will make way for him when Ferguson is back. I thought Anderson did well today, unlucky not to score and don't think the chances he had were quite as clear cut as they looked, but he needs a run of games, not so sure about McLennan though, although to be fair to him he is clearly not a winger. Need some quality from a creative sense, but I can't help think our tactics are more to blame rather than the personnel. A decent enough away support up from Dumbarton for the game who will possibly feel a little sore at losing a goal so late in the game when it looked like they were going to get the draw. What was the banner on show at half time in the Merkland which got the Stewards in a state and led to them getting abused for the rest of the second half, I couldn't read it as I sit up at the top of the stand.
  16. I loved Carmines, always good food and of course great value and he was certainly a character. Was in last Saturday and he told a young boy no phones out whilst eating and phone was put away. I remember my first time I drank my lager out of the bottle, I never made that mistake again. He also fed someone I know who lived in the block upstairs whilst a very poor student back in the early 90s, the guy who is now fairly successful never forgot that. Will be missed.
  17. Grant, Jess and Shearer. I loved Grant did so much of the simple stuff that allowed our forwards to shine and boy did we have some great attackers late 80s to early 90s. Past 25 or the dark years, my favourite 3 would be Hayes, Shinnie and Rooney.
  18. Gallaghet I don't rate at all and should be giving our own young playerd the game time, but sadly a taste of what is coming with our new investors. Main I could see doing well at Ross County , but if true, why on earth did we sign him as a terrible footballer who wad never going to improve us in anyway and who reminds me of the type of shyte we signed during the very dark years.
  19. I just hope mcgeouch adds some quality to a shyte midfield. Yes we need a more creative player, but we need another solid midfielder to protect our defence and it may even free up Ferguson to move furthet forward as I think he is suited to a more attacking role.
  20. Just bought my tickets for this game, must need my head examined parting with good cash to watch this. For all the 30+ years I have followed the club, the atmosphere has always been pretty pish at Pittodrie, we get a good bounce at certain games, but on the whole it is pretty poor, regardless of how well we are performing and at the moment we haven't been performing well on the pitch and difficult to get enthused playing for third place. Fair play for giving it a try though, but not a hope of getting the same atmosphere at home as we do at away games, which is usually always good.
  21. Exactly, but why leave him on for the full 90 against Livi when he was clearly struggling? Thankfully we got him for the second half, but we shouldn't have to rely on McGinn as our main creative outlet.
  22. Just caught the highlights of the game, two great goals it has to be said, but we looked bad in the first half and I don't think they showed anything of us in an attacking sense in the first half. Against Livi he left McGinn on the whole game even though he was shyte and possibly even struggling and then for him not to start against Hearts when he is possibly our most consistent attacking threat. Glad we didn't get beat by them, but showed again we are a horrible footballing team.
  23. Looks like he has brought the tombola out for this one, as strange a line up as he has ever produced. Could be a very turgid game of football once again and struggle to see who is going to be the creative force in the team. It would be sickening for us to be the team who they stop their losing run against.
  24. He had a few brain farts yesterday, but that one you mentioned had to be seen to be believed. He earned a booking for that one.
  25. We just know those hun loving cunts are going to get something off us. I hope to be proved wrong as always sore losing points to them.
