  1. Harry Gregg - Ex Man U goalie who went back into the wreckage of the aeroplane and rescued people on that tragic day in Munich back in 58, including a Woman and her baby. RIP
  2. Very sad news and he was only 56.
  3. Only 14k at the game today which tells its own story really about where we are heading as a club. When you look at the current league table you are left wondering what the point is in going. I've never been one to get overly excited about being the best of the rest and all that sort of shyte. In the long term will we really need an 20,000 seater stadium with the direction the league is heading?
  4. Gutted! We deserved at least a point from that today, but switch off for a second and they punish you. A great shift from all the players today, they got really stuck in and didn't give Celtic the freedom of Pittodrie like they did last time they were up here, even Broon was kept quiet today and didn't get things his own way. Thought Ash was solid at the back, sit in Merkie and couldn't see what happened for their opener very well, but I didn't fear the worst even going a goal behind. McLennan possibly put in his best shift in a red Jersey and set up Ash for his goal, which he finished well, didn't look like a dive he took in the first half either which cost him a booking, which was the first in a series of strange refereeing decisions by Dallas. McGinn looked interested as well for a change against Celtic and did a lot of running, possibly should have been off as you could clearly see him struggling in the second half, would have been a better player to hook rather than Kennedy who being younger has more energy for the 90 minutes. I thought Bryson looked pap when he came on, I know why he put him on, but didn't think it was the correct move and we lost a bit of our shape which allowed them that bit more freedom which they used to punish us. On the other side you knew when Rogic came on something was going to happen as it always does when he plays against us. Their fans are dicks though, never hear the so called greatest fans in the world unless they are winning, cretins to a man, each and every one of them. Overall we went gave them a game and should have got something from it, but despite the effort we put in, in was just that little bit more quality that got Celtic over the line today. In the second half Ojo was over speaking to the Physio/Doctor about some issue with his leg, then not long afterwards he is off injured. Looks like he will be out for a few weeks and a shame as he looked to be finding his game for us.
  5. I'd agree with what he has done. You could never question his commitment to the team, always gave 100% on the pitch and worked hard at both ends. He/we were unlucky not to get the cup in the 2017 final and a large part of that was done to him that day. Brenda didn't sign him for Celtic because he needed him, he did it to weaken us, which it did.
  6. I have a feeling we will get something on Sunday and I don't mean a doing on the pitch, although it wouldn't surprise me either if we did. I don't think anyone is getting carried away by Mains performance the other night, but the guy came in to the team under a lot of pressure and put in a decent performance, finished well to score and had an part in the second. Easy to put the boot in like we all have with Main, but credit where credit is due. As much as it always good to see the tribute act get beat, you can't really get any satisfaction of seeing Celtic so far out in front and us so far behind, so would love for us to take the three points against them on Sunday, but would happily take the draw if offered.
  7. Despite the fact it was the worst team in the league we were playing it was still a good three points to get. We actually played the ball on the deck a lot more and scored three good goals and looked comfortable and dare I say it we actually looked like a team rather than a collection of bodies in red shirts, just a pity we couldn't keep a clean sheet. I think Main would be justified in punching DM if he is dropped for Sunday to allow Cosgrove into the team, but I do expect to see the tombola out again for Sunday where we will face a much sterner test. JUst good to get that monkey of our backs.
  8. McGinn to make it 2-0 and good work by Main in the build up. Well done loon.
  9. We may slate him and quite rightly so, but Curtis just finished that goal very well. Thank fuck!
  10. Wasn't at the cup game on Saturday, but going what I have heard and read, Campbell was MOTM and he finds himself on the bench tonight, very strange. Still, F all we can do about it now and just hope we get the points tonight.
  11. I'm confident/deluded that we will score a goal(s) and pick up 3 points tonight. Now I'm away back to my crack pipe. COYR
  12. 0-0 can't say I am surprised, but didn't go or listen to it so cannot comment on the performance. Was surprised to see mcGeouch dropped though for Campbell as well which sounds to me that Deek has brought out the tombola again. Look forward to reading what people at the game thought.
  13. I hear where coming from regarding Hernandez, as feel that is a very big fee for a club like us and it's not like we are flush with cash, regardless of how much our new owners are worth. If we pay out fees like this then we really need to see a near instant impact or at least signs that they will improve us as a team. Didn't see anything last night to suggest he was a future talent, but quite possibly he just didn't understand what was expected of him due to how we play. Doesn't help either the team are low on confidence and have a manager in the last phase of his career with us at the helm. Be interesting to see if he starts on Saturday.
  14. This Saturday, Bruce Anderson with the winner agaist Killie.
  15. I suspect we will win, but wouldn't be expecting a great game. Killie seem to have found a little but of form for the last couple of gamed, but I suspect the luck of Derek will see us through. A home game and not bothering going, been quite a few years since I have been this pissed of watching us.
  16. I'd drop Cosgrove and go with Anderson, as it really couldn't be that much worse than what we are currently seeing. Yes Cosgrove is not helped by what is being created, but he just seems off the boil at the moment and by all accounts Main will not be played again bar injuries. Ferguson also needs taken out of the firing line, but cannot see that happening. Hedges - I don't think he will ever do well in a McInnes side, I think he will be the next Wilson/Gleeson/Forrester. Getting rid of McInnes is easy, but possibly costly if what I read on here is correct, but replacing him will no doubt be a difficult, but just because of that shouldn't mean we just keep him
  17. We are very poor at the moment with the players unsure of what they are supposed to be doing on the pitch as our tactics are so baffling. Also Gallagher should never be a first pick and Cosgrove would benefit from a spell out of the team as he is playing like a player in the huff about something. I honestly don't think we are a bad team it's just that we appear so focused on not losing that we forget what we are on the pitch to do. If DM was in any doubt that the fans are not onside then he must have hit home tonight. Seven years is a very good innings for a manager to be at one club and it is clear that his time is clearly up. Not wasting my hard earned on the cup game, can think of other things I can do with the cost of the tickets.
  18. I don't think he would ever drop Ferguson, no matter how bad he plays. Ojo and McGeouch will make way if he was to drop one, but I look forward to being surpsied.
  19. Hernandez may well be a great signing for us and time will tell, but I would love to see that young lad we have out on loan at Arbroath get some game time next season, he will gained a lot of experience playing in the Championship.
  20. A good point. I had a feeling we would get something today and going by what I read on here we possibly could have got the whole 3 points.
  21. No surprises with the line up, as predictable as ever, I doubt any other clubs would really have to scout us as we all know our set up and very rarely tweak things. Hope we can get something or at least make a game of it. I'm away to watch a film now. COYR
  22. I cannot quite agree with folk saying it has been a good window for us. Our squad still looks weak and unbalanced and failing to see where the all important creative spark is coming from. On our new right back I can remember we had one from South America before who was superb at crossing the ball, up with the very best, Juan Cobain I think the name was and he disappeared without trace after a few games. Hope I am proved wrong a nd these signings are a turning point and we start to play football, but like some zoomer told me yesterday we are VERY lucky to have McInnes and people like me make him sick to the core. Time will tell.
  23. McInnes has a knack of getting results when least expected so I have a strange feeling we may well come away with something against the odds. I don't think we will see Anderson unless chasing a goal in the last 15-20 minutes and probably the same line up we started with on Sunday and Sam feeding off scraps which will mean him going to the deck quite often when the ball goes near him, even more than he normally does. 2-1 us Sam to put us in front and Kennedy to nick it at the end for us.
  24. He possibly feels untouchable due to having far too cosy a relationship with the ex Chairman. Its as though he has become bigger than the club and we the fans are not allowed to question team decisions which he makes.
  25. Probably people writing about it who were not at the game, the type who don't go to games but always stick up for DM. Nobody paying to watch us the last few years could defend how bad we have become.
