These conferences are pure comedy gold. Armando Inniucci must be scripting these.
  2. I see Hearts are looking to cut salaries by 50% across the club, money must be tight as I have been contacted by the ticket office everyday for the past week and even got an email from a lass who is my contact for renewal which I have never had before. I have to shift seats as ours cannot be renewed due to the red shed going into to Merkland. Wasn't going to renew as so bored with what I have seen on the pitch for the past two seasons and have no idea how my own job is going to pan out due to current conditions, so shelling out £800 for 3 tickets doesn't seem right somehow. It's all a bit of a mess.

You couldn't make better satire up than these afternoon press conferences from the three wise folk of Government. Not exactly inspiring confidence amongst us proles. Bojo is a fucking clown.

Well do we feel more confident after hearing the three wise men speak this afternoon. Bojo looked rattled, he knows he has screwed up and having to backtrack on previous advice given. Just not good enough and when you see idiotic MPs on the news make arses of themselves like the lass on C4 news just now it doesn't leave you with any confidence. This should be about medical people and scientists with government clowns and spin doctors kept well away from anything

I have to agree with what you have written. Boris being in charge is what scares me most. Even if it killed 90% of the population, he would still think he did great by saving 10% of us. The NHS will do its best, but 10 years of austerity will really come back and bite us on the arse over the next few months. Strong and stable government right enough!

I know nothing about how it will all pan out, but don't trust the mop headed idiot in the slightest and am quite sure he is hoping to see large numbers of people dead from this. The interesting bit of this for me is how uncomfortable the guy from Public Health England looks when speaking alongside Boris. Looks like a man not used to telling large scale lies. Also, do we really want to hear from experts with titles? I for one don't, these guys don't get their titles for nothing, they get them for going along with the spin the are told too. We seem to ve heading in a direction away from other countries who have had some success with the measures they have taken. I feel the economic impact will be worse than the impact to the public health and could take us years to recover.
  7. I'd second that. With another league title heading to Parkhead and nobody bar the zombie club really in a position to challenge for the title, I just don't see where our new fans are going to come from to fill anything bigger as bar a few occassional games, most people just aren't interested. A pity we didn't have Cormack onboard before Rangers went bust, as he might have pushed for the real change needed to our game. He wants 11k ST for next season, I think only a cup win would get us near that figure.
  8. Watched the highlights last night and Hibs were very very unlucky not to have been a few to the good, but the time Whitaker got sent off, some pass by the boy Allan for their opener though. The one in the first half when Logan and Ash went for the same ball on the halfway line and it bounced over both was bad viewing. We really need to get our defence sorted out, always look likely to concede and only so much Joe can do in a game.
  9. I thought you had judged him already and to be fair you are fairly good at spotting the shyte players early doors, but I did think you were being a bit harsh on him, but all explained now.
  10. Well, it was a fairly even game, before Hibs took the lead, but Hibs should have been up if not for Joe saving our bacon once again with a couple of top drawer saves. We went behind and we looked like headless chickens after, but the sending off changed everything and Bruce coming on gave us some good movement in the final third which caused them some problems and brought Main into the game more. I would like to see that two get a run of games together as their styles complement each other. Main played an excellent ball through to McGinn in the second half and I have seen him do this a few times for us now, there are times when he does the very basics badly and he showed off some in the first half today, but then other times he looks like a footballer, but he is doing his bit for the team and scoring some goals, cannot ask for much more from him. He even had the ball right on our right corner flag in the 2nd half and managed to get the ball past the Hibs player and up the pitch without knocking it out for a shy. Thought McLennan played well today, especially in the first half, making good runs and getting good balls into the box, faded a bit in the second half though, but still reckon he is not a winger. Thought Kennedy did well today, did a lot of tracking back on the wing, which I don't think is natural for him, but his pace is always going to cause teams problems and good to have that back in the team. McGeouch played well and he has a great passing ability which I hope we can benefit from in the coming games. A run of games will do him the world of good, just like it has Ojo. I'm happier with us in the middle and up front, but we need to sort that defence out. Logan was at fault for ou goal again, with a poor touch that gifted Hibs possession from which they scored, but we just look shyte at the back. All in all, a great three points which leads us into a big game down at Fir Park on Friday night, but we need to work on our defence.
  11. He did dive. I sit in the Merkie and had a great view of it, he knew what he was doing. Sam does the same and I think it is being coached into them. It is as bad as blatant diving for me and I wish we would stop it. Ferguson is showing his worth though, looks more comfortable playing further forward. I reckon there will be bids for him in the summer
  12. Do you think Kennedy is struggling Rico? I think he is playing well enough, but he is that kind of player, quick feet and good pace, but his final ball can let him down, I think that if his final ball was better he would possibly be playing at a higher level. I think he will be decent enough for us, but I don't see him as an automatic first choice, as a player like him will always have big dips in form.
  13. AN excellent finish from McGinn, possibly the only player in our squad who would have scored that one and a good header from McLennan after a good cross from Kennedy. Never a penalty though, goodness knows what the ref was thinking, back turned with his arms at his sides, what more was he meant to do. Maybe best get the players arms taken off and avoid any potential hand balls.
  14. Hopefully see a good game tomorrow, Hibs were well beaten against the Jambos on Tuesday night, so would expect them to try and rectify that, but we have also found a little bit of form as well, so all being well it should be a cracker.... Would like to see Leigh back at LB so we can move Considine into the centre and get Devlin out of the team as we always look bad when he is in the team. 3-2 - Main, McGinn and Considine.
  15. A good point to get after being 2-0 down and sounded like a decent game.

    Coronavirus

Costco in Aberdeen was rammed full this morning with people panic buying due to Coronavirus.
  17. Tommy Hoban potentially coming in to replace McKenna for the season. Given his injury record it could backfire very quickly, but on the other hand IF he keeps fit we will have a decent player. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/donsnews/call-to-hoban-after-blow-for-mckenna/
  18. A shyte game and we won with the one real bit of quality in the game, but I think we were the stronger team overall St Mirren were gash, they had lots of the ball, but were fairly poor in the final third. Good to see us bring on Sam on the 75th minute for Campbell instead of the usual game management we would usually expect. I still think we are a better side with Main up front than Sam, we just seem to be more open in the final third instead of just lumping it up to Sam. Thought Kennedy had a decent game for us tonight, he clearly read my post Putting the ball through for Fergie at the opener and a good cross for Main to score, but only to be ruled offside. Good to have that bit of pace in the team which will always cause problems. A good win and bring on the Semi, hopefully St Johnstone can put out Septic tomorrow.
  19. Good to see Campbell get the start after his sending off last week. I imagine DM sees something in the loon as he is usually quick to drop our youngsters. Decent enough line up and should have enough to see us through. Hoping to see Kennedy do something tonight with his final ball, which has been lacking in his game so far. 2-1 us.
  20. Yes me too. If going with two I would prefer to see Anderson get some game time. He got the cup game against Dumbarton and althoug he did miss a couple of chances, his general play was decent and offers us something different. Do I think it will happen? No.
  21. Saw the highlights last night and have to say, regardless of the defending leading up to them, they were two good finishes by the boy McKay, the header for the first was especially good they way he guided it into the bottom corner. After watching them though it was even clearer we needed to change the personnel in the middle of the park once Campbell got his marching orders.
  22. Hun drop 2 more points at St Johnstone and Stevie May scores his fifth in 9.
  23. Yes his bookings were soft and technically correct, but if a referee is going to be so pedantic with the rules he has to do it consistantly throughout the game which he didn't. As for Sam his goal record is decent, but does allow him to hide behind his many weaknesses to his game and I honestly don't think he is a very good footballer and reckon he has had his head turned by all the talk leading up to and during the last transfer window. Our poor recruitment over the past few windows is biting us on the arse big time and we lack quality.
  24. Well I predicted a comfortable win and we didn't get one. Would have won if we hadn't lost Campbell, too far away for me to see what his bookings were for, but I belive the second was for kicking the ball away?? Daft if so, but the referee was a fud. I was surprised we still went out for the win after going down to 10, expected to see McGeouch come on for either Cosgrove/Main/McLennan, but I think Main played deeper and we tried to go for it, which to be fair we did and were unlucky not to take the lead early in the second with a shot from Fergie saved by the keeper with him then following up with another good save from McGinn, but County had their chances as well before they actually scored and only a good save from Joe, when McKay was one on one from him and another which he tipped over the bar kept them at bay only to then lose another soft goal near the end. Player wise Cosgrove was honking, just doesn't look interested and his touch is awful. Main has plenty of faults, but he never hides, Cosgrove would have claimed the goal, but Curtis just made sure, but to have those two as your main strikers isn't ideal, but it's all we have as Anderson won't get the game time, as today would have been good to start him upfront alonside Main, but once again saw no action. Subs were a little baffling, but McInnes must have though we could win as he replaced the ineffective McLennan with Kennedy, who I am still not convinced about, then Hedges for McGinn, then finally McGeouch for Sam, who really should have been off the pitch far sooner as offered us nothing and then we lost a second goal, gutted to say the least. Thought Taylor and Ferguson were our best players today, with Joe earning his corn with some good saves. Considine did well too. McKenna plays fine for the most part, but his brain farts are becoming costly and he will be lucky if anyone takes a punt on him in the summer, same with Cosgrove. Just surprised that McInnes didn't go into game management mode when we went down to 10, but soft goals were our downfall once again, I would have said a draw would have been fair, but possibly used up our luck for the week on Wednesday night.
  25. County are fairly gash, but they work hard and gave Septic a game at Parkhead a few weeks back. I think Sam wil start this one and agree McGinn should be benched as played a lot recently, but nobody really to take his place as feel Hedges will be back down the road in the summer. I'd put McGeouch beside Fergie in midfield and drop Bryson, Campbell desereves a run of games too. Defence will be what the tombola decides. 3-0 us
