  1. Might be an English Aberdeen fan, might be a fuckwit trying to wind up Tims, who knows? I've seen plenty of red and white saltires, could just be someone trying to do something similar with the union flag. If it's meant to be a wind up, I think it's only succeeded in winding up Aberdeen fans.
  2. I don't have any feelings towards it whatsoever, if someone wants to celebrate being British as well as being an Aberdeen fan, I don't have a problem with it. Assuming that's what it is.
  3. I don't understand the Billy Stark thing. He's not got a great record at club level and as U21 manager, he's beaten teams you'd expect us to beat before losing to Iceland. Derek Adams and Jocky Scott would be mistakes. There's not really any standout candidate. I thought Hibs were silly to go for Calderwood over Steve Clarke, so he may be an option, and there's Eric Black as usual who I think would do a good job, but I think if we were ever going to appoint him, we would have done it by now. There's not really anyone else in the SPL that I'd fancy. Maybe someone like Alan Curbishley, someone that's got a good reputation but has been out of work for a while?
  4. I see Maguire's been left out of the latest U21 squad. I wonder if that means he's getting called up...
  5. He clearly wasn't match fit. But, the only real way of getting match fit is by playing competitive matches. Once he has a few matches under his belt, I'm sure we'll see the best of him. I'm more concerned that if he's played up front with Vernon, there's not a lot of pace and the only attacking option we have is punts up the park.

I hope Webber can hold on, he's always had terrible luck over the years. Got pit straight tickets for the Abu Dhabi GP so should see the new champion cross the line whoever it is.

    Jokes

What's the difference between a kangaroo and a kangaroot? One's a marsupial and the other is a Geordie stuck in a lift.
  8. The reaction on Follow Follow was quite amusing, one can only imagine the sort of things they were saying during the Pope's visit.
  9. Nicky Low saying it wasn't him, despite the comments being posted from a mobil phone and he hadn't deleted them from his profile almost a month later.
  10. Not only that, I saw a screenshot of the spread they had in the Record, a big picture of each player with "Team Recruitment" booming out at people reading about a sectarianism scandal. Hardly going to do much good for AFC trying to attract sponsorship in the future. I guess it's just fortunate that the vast majority of those offended by this won't make much impact on the customer base of a job agency...
  11. Heikkinen did ok for himself I guess, still playing at a good level for Rapid Vienna, but it is slim pickings right enough.
  12. Nae just them 2 either, youth team players Nicky Low and Anthony Bolger are at it too And our latest debutant Dean Jarvis as well. Not a braincell between them.
  13. If McGhee is carrying on with the 3 upfront, Paton's a better option in one of the wide positions than Mackie or Maguire. Having a full season as a regular starter might be the making of him though rather than a bit part player here.
  14. According to McGhee the deal he said was available was taken off the table so our interest dropped.
  15. Chris Clark was gash. We only missed him because we didn't replace him, he just became a hole in the squad that was marginally less effective than the player himself.
  16. Seeing as Foster is the only full back we have on our books, I'd hope they wouldn't be mutually exclusive. The deal's off anyway according to McGhee, so it'll be back down to Sainsbury's spare change counting machine to see if we've got enough for Basey yet.
  17. D = A-(STH+C) D = Dicks A = Attendance STH = Season Ticket Holders CC = Concessions As we have 4/5000 season ticket holders and if we assume 1/2000 punters are paying concessions to get in, as many as 5000 paying Aberdeen fans could be dicks every other week.
  18. The fact that the famous Aberdeen want to sign him in the first place should be all the impressing he needs.
  19. That's the one, always full of knuckle draggers looking for a scrap.
  20. I just got RedTV for the first time. Maybe it's just me or my browser, but in the flash player, I can't adjust the volume or skip the timeline forwards/backwards. In fact, I can't see any controls whatsoever. I paid £39.99 for the year, mainly for the highlights that I can't view on BBC because I'm overseas, but it seems a bit of a piss take that they're asking for an extra £20 2 days later to view content that had been previously provided as part of the package I paid for. It's not a huge deal, but you'd think they'd sort it out before taking subscriptions for this season.
  21. Out of our 4-5000 season ticket holders, are there really that many who have tickets they're not eligible for? It's not going to have any real effect on the club either way. And it's not really worth having a moral crusade about either. If I can get away with paying less than I should for something, even if I'm more than able to pay the full price, then I'm going to do it whether it be football tickets, train fares, prostitutes or whatever. Obviously, that doesn't include any criminal behaviour, but I can live with a bit of mild dishonesty It doesn't make me, or anyone else who does so, a bad person. That's already covered by plenty of other things.
  22. Loophole's probably not the word I was looking for, but if you're studying for professional accountancy exams, you can apply for an NUS Associate Card even though you're not in full time (or even part time) education for a cost of £10/year. To be fair to the club, there's not really any way of them knowing.
