They’re women in their 40’s/50’s on an online dating site, they’re probably feeling extremely self-conscious about showing their faces. Especially if they’re widowers/divorcees who haven’t dated for 20-odd years and are worried about the outdated perception that online dating is for desperate losers.

Tony Docherty for me out of that lot.
-
He still hasn't actually said that he is not interested in the Rangers job. That I have seen anyway.
-
Earliest games I can remember are the 5-0 home win against St Mirren in the late 80's (the first game I went to), Charlie Nicholas got a hat trick, Paul Mason got one of the goals, and I think McLeish was the other scorer. That and the Skol Cup final 2-1 win over the Huns. Can't remember which game came first.
-
Play him through the middle and give him plenty of service like Hayes/McGinn did, then he'll score goals. Force him to play out wide or drop deep to get the ball or have wingers who'd rather run up the South Stand stairs and buy the opposition full back a pie instead of trying to get around the outside of him and whip a cross in and he's going to be ineffective.
-
Another on a (much) lesser scale, Joe Shaughnessy. Seemed to be let go because he wasn't great as a right back despite it being fairly obvious to everyone that his best position was in the middle. Not a world beater by any means but a better central defender than Ash Taylor, Anthony O'Connor and Mark Reynolds at a lower cost.

Probably not going to be a huge miss in the grand scheme of things but interesting to see 20 year old Joe Nuttall banging them in for Blackburn Rovers after we released him in the summer, probably on a fraction of what we’re paying Nicky Maynard.

I haven't seen much of Paul Hanlon in recent years, but he looked very good when we played at Easter Road a few weeks ago. Know nothing about Liam Cooper, but he's playing at a higher level than Mulgrew is currently, and will actually still be around when the next major tournament we can possibly qualify for comes around. Shame we didn't see either of them get a chance last night.

It's not simply a case of giving a player a new contract, they've got to want it. The bulk of our first team players are signing new contracts well before they go into the final year of their existing contracts, that to me would suggest we're doing all we can to offer new contracts to players like McLean and Jack, they just want to go elsewhere and would rather get a big signing on bonus in their hipper rather than allow us to get a decent transfer fee.
-
We have strikers that can score goals, the problem seems to be that they spend most of the game out wide putting in (poor) crosses instead of being on the end of them.
-
I hope if Rangers do meet the release fee/value of his contract, we insist on cash upfront.
-
It's easy to say we should have had a proper go at them, but Dembele had Arnason on the ropes a couple of times right after their first goal, and McKenna was getting dragged into the centre of the pitch too often. They would have picked us off with ease if we played further up the park.
-
There’s no point in playing 2 up front unless it’s in the traditional target man and poacher combination. The way we play football means one of the strikers inevitably ends up playing out wide where they don’t have the pace and trickery to do any damage. I don’t think any full back in the league is going to break into a sweat if they’re up against Rooney, GMS or Stewart. Especially Stewart, you know every time he’s going to try to cut inside onto his left foot.

McGinn didn't leave us because he wanted to go to South Korea, he left us because he wanted to get away from Aberdeen and play for someone else, anyone else. If he does come back here, it'll be with his tail between his legs because he can't hack it in South Korea and no-one else wants him, his heart won't be in it. As much as I liked him while he was here, it's a no for me.

Have you tried looking on the castle's website? They have a section for directions: http://www.bran-castle.com/directions.html Looks like a case of flying into Bucharest airport then jumping on a train to Brasov, the nearest town.

If we go along the foreign coach route, we should be looking for someone with a track record of getting the best out of mediocre teams rather than someone just because they're a household name. Vahid HalilhodĹľi? got Algeria into the knockout round in the last World Cup, got Japan into the next World Cup by finishing top of their qualifying group and has apparently fallen out with the Japan FA types so could be available next summer. Also got Ivory Coast to qualify for 2010 World Cup.

I don't know, everything about this just seems half-arsed. Our chairman has a construction company FFS, he of all people should know how to submit a planning application that meets the criteria that's clearly set out. With all the money and resources we've thrown at this so far, how can we be in a position where our proposal does not comply with what the planning gadgies told us to fix a few months ago? Since then, it seems all we've done is add a few sentences about shuttle buses then thrown the rest of the budget on this Aurora PR campaign that looks like it was a complete waste of time. Maybe I'm being naive, but I can't believe there hasn't been a meeting where the question was asked "what do we need to do in the planning application to meet all of the requirements?" with the conclusion being "let's do that then". We shouldn't need to pull our application at the last minute to address the issues, the issues have been well known and highlighted for months now, there's no excuse for this lack of preparation.

I would have said O'Connor before the Motherwell match, but if he put his head in harm's way the other night, Moult wouldn't have scored his first goal. Not sure if it's fair to criticise someone for not allowing himself to get kicked in the face. He was also the one that got outjumped for their second goal too come to think of it. This may sound a bit simplistic or idealistic, but a number 5 should not be losing headers while defending a corner. That should be their bread and butter.
-
Their left back is 35 and we haven't tried to get past him even once. We have no width.
-
Willie Miller with a sore one on GMS:
-
GMS is murder, has he beaten a single man in his Aberdeen career yet?
-
We'd see a huge jump in our revenue too if we were able to beat Apollon Limassol or Kairat fucking Almaty.
-
That's the whole point though, how can they restrict parking spaces that already exist? We'd be replacing one arena with another on more or less the same footprint. I'm not having the A944 with traffic lights and a roundabout before Kingswells and another choke point Roundabout after Kingswells that leads to 2 single carriageways is better at dispersing traffic than the A90 which will be duelled all the way to Ellon. Both sites have proximity to the AWPR. Westhill is then left with a bunch of back roads no where near equipped to handle that volume of traffic, whereas King Street, Beach Esplanade and the Parkway which leads to both the Persley Bridge and the new 3rd crossing handles high volumes all the time. According to the study performed by the club, most people attending Pittodrie travel either from the city centre or due north of the city. Westhill is not the convenient location for the vast majority of our supporter base.
-
The bus stops on Ellon Road at the bottom of North Donside Road are served by 16 bus routes going both north of the city and into the city. The bus stop nearest the stadium site in Kingsford on the main road out of Westhill is served by 2 bus routes all going the same direction (according to Google Maps). It's not even close. Plus the AECC has the existing P&R facility to accommodate a further supply of shuttle buses. The Parkway can't handle traffic but all the shitty back roads round Westhill and Cults can? Come on now. All traffic leaving Westhill going to the city is going to get backed up at the Roundabout at the start of Lang Stracht. All the parking I've mentioned is on private land? Except of course the thousands of existing spaces on the AECC site that we'd be able to use that we wouldn't have at Kingsford you mean? The private spaces in BoD are just as much, if not more, as Kingford with the added benefit of not being on the other side of a busy dual carriageway. Obviously what I'm proposing has zero prospect of ever happening but location-wise the AECC is light years ahead of Westhill in terms of convenience and accessibility. The only people it is less convenient for is those living to the south of the city and with the exception of a small pocket of resistance in Stonehaven, they're all Huns anyway.
