Being a little facetious but motivating players is a key component of football coaching. If a team of 11 players beat a team of 11 players who are more talented in every single position then it usually comes down to either luck, tactics or motivation. 2 out of those 3 come from coaching. If our players don’t have the motivation/pride/bottle to make sure they don’t fall behind Dundee United in the league, it’s either that they’re natural shitebags or have had shitebaggery coached into them. As Thelin has signed more than half of them, he’s not off the hook either way.
