  1. Great news! I know it goes without saying (i'm going to say it anyway) but a good keeper is so vital to a good team. If they defence don't have trust in the keeper it really unsettles them and restricts them from venturing up field which in turn hampers the attacking side of them team. Get that contract signed Joe!
  2. Agree totally with what RicoS's saying. Surely we can change out 1 player every week without disrupting the team? Anyway, i lied when i said that the weekends game was going to be my last 'oot' as i'm still away for this one too. Home for the weekend tho. Prediction... another 1-0 to us although these games seem to have a habit of being a bit of a goal fest IIRC...
  3. I see he's been bumping his gums again to the papers about our game.... https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/633200/former-aberdeen-star-james-maddison-claims-englands-third-tier-is-just-as-good-as-the-scottish-premiership/ I seen a lot of gnashing of teeth about his comments on facebook but personally i think it's a bit of a non story.
  4. I mentioned the Ranieri situation the other day in the FA Cup thread, Leicester were definitely in an unenviable position, damned if they did sack him, damned if they didn't sack him because with him at the helm they were going down. Shame all the same that he made those players champions and that's how they repay him. Vardy and his mates need to take a look at themselves. :wanker: :wanker:
  5. Watched the majority of the Fiorentina Vs Borussia Monchengladbach game last night, very good cup tie. The Violas were 1-0 up after away leg, subsequently go 2-0 up at home only to allow their arses to collapse and lose the match 2-4 and obv the tie 3-4!!! Some cracking goals and 1 set piece which was so simple yet effective but i suppose possessing the technique the Gerrys have helps.
  6. Cheers abdy for your inputs. Seems like i've got plenty of options for snacks anyway. And of course there's always the alternative option provided by the Rocket. Maybe 20 years ago pre-offshore drug and drink screening everybody year and on the random occasions too. 2 very different images conjured up thanks to Mondo and DD.... For our family holiday we're off to Ibiza but i'm defo looking forward to this more.
  7. In or oot - Oot... again! Last oot for a while tho. Furry - Bed/boat/Nigeria Pre/Post - Still in my scratcher Prediction - a nervy 2-1 Crowd - Hopefully a well deserved 13,000
  8. Just booked a long weekend for me and the other half in Amsterdam late in May. 45 year aul' and never been before so looking for some tips from you worldly wise characters. We're staying in the 'Museum Area/quarter' but we're nae that cultured that we'd be doing a tour of museums. Any bars or restaurants that are a must go to or anything in particular that you'd recommend doing? Cheers.
  9. Bit weird... in the top pic it looks like she's got a fine set of chesticles but in the other two she would give your ironing board a run for it's money in flatness. Don't know anything about her views, racist or otherwise, but if asked if i'd shag it....
  10. With just over 4 weeks to go until the start of the new F1 season the teams are unveiling their new cars. So far only Sauber and Renault have taken the covers off but the Renault is a thing of beauty. Nice to see the fat tyres back too. Canna wait.
  11. That's a lovely scene you've painted there Ten Caat, very romantic. I can't believe she is only 41?! Must be that Fife sea air that's had an effect. I wouldn't say i fancy her but that's never been an issue before. I'd give her a poke.
  12. That's a good observation but it's not quite as straight forward as that though, is it? You've got to consider the quality of the opposition attacks and that i would imagine would be pretty difficult to measure. I'm not trying to take anything away from Joe Lewis he's been great for us, but so was Danny after so many years of dodgy keepers, it was brilliant to finally see the defence looking confident and not worrying about the scarecrows standing between the sticks behind them.
  13. I read the match report for the Huddersfield v City game and it sounded like the keeper had a blinder. I initially thought that Danny had been dropped so i looked a bit further into it and it seems he's played every league game for them, hence coming to the conclusion that Huddersfield too were resting first team regulars in the cup. I could well be wrong tho. Interesting to hear their fans aren't too impressed by him.
  14. Didn't see the game today but read a couple of times about Rooney being played out wide. Was this just a case of the front 3 swapping places on a regular basis like we see at Pittodrie quite often or was he actually stuck out on the left? I've seen him out there a few times and seldom does he make an impact on the game of any sorts. He scored once away to Partick when playing out there but usually we'd be as well playing with 10 men with Rooney left wing. Struggling to see how DM considers that to be a useful tactic. Anyway, well done Dons, went to my bed at half time after following on twitter, wasn't happy at that point but nice surprise to wake up to. COYR
  15. Hmmm potentially you've got Arsenal, Man City, Spurs and one of Chelsea or Man Utd in the semis... they also managed to arrange a 'final before the final' tie to keep the TV companies interested so all in all not a bad days work by the fixers. I noticed the other day Jose saying he's been guilty in the past of not putting in enough effort in to FA Cup games but that wasn't going to be the case this season... but then he goes and starts with Ashley 'Swan Lake' Young!!!! If that's not trying to give the oppo a chance i don't know what is!
  16. I see Danny Ward had to settle for a place on Huddersfields bench today when playing Man City in the cup... is this a case of even the likes of Huddersfield (lower league teams) disrespecting the competition by resting first team regulars?! What a predicament Leicester find themselves in! That team have totally lost whatever they had last season, i realise that's probably the mother of all understatements but can they go out and sack Ranieri after last season? It's a hard one but surely no one is bigger than the club?
  17. I reckon Christie will be back on the bench for this one. DM will revert to type. I don't like criticising when he's doing such a good job but obviously i'm going to... He already knows what his midfield 3 of Jack, Shinzaa and McLean can do, we saw what Jack, Christie and McLean could do on Wed, we're playing a poor team tomorrow so lets see what Jack, Shinzaa and Christie can do this week, then next week drop Jack for McLean. I don't see the point in taking in the likes of Christie if he's just going to be back up from the bench... we've got O'Connor there for that.

    Films

Told the Mrs when i get home from the trip at the end of the month we're going in to see T2. She's just informed me that because it's her birthday tomorrow / today she went in to see it tonight with a couple of pals. Telt her i wasn't impressed as i'd been looking forward to it. She replies "can't you just watch it on Kodi?" I despair with wimmin sometimes (a lot).

    Films

Watched Hacksaw Ridge recently. It was a good film but i felt like i'd seen it before, up until he starts saving ab'dy in the last 40 mins or so. It was a bit, Full Metal Jacket / Saving Ryan's Privates etc. up to that point. Went to watch a dodgy copy of the latest Star Wars movie the other night.... the film was in the worst letter box format ever and was actually on my screen twice, in the top half and again in the bottom half. Fooking nightmare.
  20. You're a legend Buc. Simmied
  21. There are very very few WYOWYN's that i can remember Buc saying no to, i think we should test him to see just how low he'd be prepared to go. I'll start with Karen Matthews.... I reckon if you managed to get her handcuffs off and her jumper ower her heid she'd have a fair set of jubblies on her.... just an observation.
  22. Just noticed there's not a thread for this game... I winna be there, a week and a bit to go of this trip. I just hope we haven't used up all our goal allocation for this month. And i hate / love the fact that DM has won every match against the Ayrshire huns. I'm being totally irrational here in having the fear but i'm worried that we've scored too much, we've won too much and they are without a manager..... of course we'll fucking hammer them!
  23. Bored and on nightshift i've just made the mistake of reading Faddys 'opinion' in the Sun. What a total crock of shite! Calling us a disgrace.... it's McGhoo who's a disgrace to the human race. I honestly couldn't give a flying saucer if he's a Gothenburg Hero.... the guy makes my blood boil with everything he says and does! He's fooking useless at his job to boot!

    WYOWYN

Aul Donalds side kick... Kellyanne Conway.... For the record.... i wid! Dinna think she's very photogenic but in film... i reckon she's nae bad, esp for her age... 25.
  25. Quite bizarre! I'm no fan of Liverpool but I thought they'd stopped dealing with The Sun donkeys years ago.... or was that just the scoucers boycotting the paper?
