  1. Well, the fitba ruined a good day out imo. 7000 traveling Reds, a few amber nectars, beautiful sunny day, a stadium i'd never visited before then that game of football. I'm glad i read through this thread to get an idea of DM's tactics / line up as i still didn't have a clue what he was doing prior to coming on here. I don't think DM has a clue about what he wants to do just now. He's brought all these new players into the club and he's desperately trying to give them all game time, which i can understand but Sat was abysmal. I defo don't agree with messing with the defence. And why is it we always throw in a stinker of a performance when we've got a lot of fans onboard to impress. Seems to happen every time. Murrayfield is obviously a class stadium but i've no idea how Edinburgh copes when they've got a big rugby international on with almost 3 times the attendance. The pubs were 5/6 deep at the bar and food waiting times were ridiculous. Then at the stadium i went for something to eat 5 mins before halftime. Queues were massive and it was the 53rd minute when i got back to my seat. And there was no drinks to be had even though it was roasting. The team KennyFuckingPowers posted is bang on for me. Left sided players on the left and right sided players on the right... DM should try that, might find it works. Was not impressed by that team line up on Sat at all! One last thing, that O'Connor song needs to stop. I like AO'C but that song is cringe x 1000!
  2. Fair enough DD, I thought myself when walking through it was more Islamabad than Romania but I was so surprised at what I saw that I looked up Govanhill on Google to see what the score was and they do go on about a massive Romanian and Eastern European influx. It was Alison Street we walked down and it was all Pakistani/ Indian. Have a nose yourself.
  3. I know what you're saying. At the semifinal a couple of weeks ago i drove down and was going to park on Victoria Road in Govanhill. I got out the car and asked a taxi driver parked behind me if it was ok to park there, he said it was pay and display but if i was to go along the road a little bit and park on one of the side streets on the left i'd be fine, he stressed not to park on the right as it's "like fucking Romania in there, they'll have all the doors on that thing boosted in not time!" I thanked him and followed his advise, parked the car and popped into the Victoria Bar on the high street. In there we got speaking to a right auld boy, of course he was backing up what the taxi driver was saying about the other side of the road and that the place had gone to ruin, that's when he dropped the SNP bomb.... "it's all Sturgeons fault! She's let them in and she's trying to bring even more in!" To be fair we walked right through those estates on the way to Hampden and i was pretty shocked by what i saw.... very very few white faces, all the shops were selling those long Indian style robes, halal meats and dodgy mobile shops... must've been networks from India or somewhere, certainly not ones i'd heard of. On every corner we passed were groups of young asians, 10 or 15 at a time. I didn't realise it was like that there and you can understand the locals getting upset and blaming the SNP.
  4. In North Stand Driving - most mates going down and staying on Fri night, some nae going, was holding off for news for a fitba special train but then heard there's not going to be one. Was at the last semi against Hibs when thumb heid and that fat coont O'Connor scored. Don't want anything like that again. I see the daily retard is 'reporting' that Hibs fans are set to 'hugely outnumber' Dons fans at Hampden.
  5. Obviously the Tory cunts feel as confident as you do that they'll get back in and unfortunately i do too... but only because of the state that Labour find them selves in. It must grate on May that she wasn't the one voted into power by the public. What a state this country is in politically!
  6. Initially i was a massive fan of Jack and likened him to Simmie but the last couple of years i've not been impressed by him, until the last few weeks that is. I just wonder if this is him putting himself in the 'shop window'? As for last week, i thought he had a decent game but he was guilty of arguing with the defence just after the first goal and they still hadn't sorted that out when the horrible bastards were coming forward again. He definitely had a hand in that second goal.

    Easter

Aye, it's worth taking a wee min to think about it.
  8. Obviously I never realised Seve was that young when we signed him. But since you pointed it out i looked up his stats and he only averaged 21 games a season for Hearts, i seem to remember him being plagued by knee injuries, so although you're clearing being sarky you're not a millions miles off, mobility was always his issue.
  9. Hmm, that is interesting. You may well have hit the mail on the head, it certainly makes sense. Just to add to that, i was listening to the radio and Richard Gordon was making sounds as if there may be a chance that he'll end up with us for next season.
  10. I forgot about Seve, it's a pity we only got him towards the end of his career as he did have all the passing ability in the world. Didn't have the legs to run with the ball the same as Kenny and Jazzer can / could. Jess, i still think of Eoin as being a deep lying striker even though he was used in midfield in his second spell with us. What a player though!
  11. Valtteri Bottas on pole for todays race in Bahrain. If he can get off the line well and prevent Hamilton driving off then it could make for a very interesting race. Don't particularly like the Bahrain race with it being under floodlights but i'm looking forward to this one now.

    Easter

Easter related joke: "Hey Dad, why is my sister called Teresa?" "Because your Mum loves Easter and Teresa is an anagram of Easter" "Thanks Dad" "No problem Alan!"
  13. I didn't go yesterday, St J have a habit of making your eyes bleed when they play us there, but your description here could quite easily apply to last weeks game. Seems they haven't shaken it off completely then?! I'm guessing DM was preparing for next week by leaving Jonnys BFF out?
  14. It is a bold statement but it's one that i agree with. But that's just my opinion and doesn't make it a fact. Pity he decided to have his first howler in absolute ages last week. #Still hurting.
  15. That was bloody murder yesterday! Great start by us which was exactly what was required. That young ginger lad they had playing for them in defence was actually breathless at one point. Not sure if it was because of the pressure of the atmosphere or the fact he was getting roasted right from the start. He was shitting it and we let those horrible bastards off the hook big time. They were there to be had but for some reason best known to themselves they backed off and let them into the game. Jonny couldn't find his touch and often made the wrong choice, Niall just wasn't getting involved enough after that first 10 mins, Kenny was abysmal, by far his worst game for ages. Rooney... just typical for him lately. I thought Jack and Shinnie along with Joe were the only ones who played to their usual standard. We were clearly mugged but brought it on ourselves. Don't know why DM didn't change things earlier with so many of our forwards being out of sorts. Perhaps he thought we were controlling it well enough without scoring and was satisfied with the draw.... What he's done in effect is made sure the part-timers won't be back in a hurry for the rest of the season. EDIT to say... Happy birthday N&T.
  16. Myself and the family all picked a horse each and stuck £2.50 e/w on them. My daughter was at work so i picked One For Arthur for her purely because the jockeys jacket was the saltire. I picked Definitely Red.
  17. In - SSW My mates Barry's hoose to meet the troops and sink a few early ones, cutting out the sambuccas this time! Gadz! Post match celebrations in town As long as DM doesn't have a brain fart and end up handing the incentive to those horrible cunts i think we'll win with a bit to spare!
  18. Going to see The.se Smiths at Drummonds tonight. Anyone else?
  19. Funnily enough a couple of days ago i saw this clip posted on FB or something and then spent a bit of time looking at other hilarious misses. Little did i know i was about to experience the worst miss i've ever witnessed live. As for that miss by Iwelumo, i once asked Frank McDougall when he had the Criterion about Iwelumo's miss and that i thought he went with it with the wrong foot. Frank insists that any decent striker would have gone with the same foot as Iwelumo. I suppose he knows better than me.
  20. LOL very true! There were a few times last night i was left on my feet roaring - how the fuck did we not score there?! Could easily have been another 5 goals in the 'for' column. Saying that ICT weren't that bad and Joe had a good game. There were a few of our lads getting a bit frustrated with each other last night, esp in the last 15 mins or so. Don't know if y'all paid any attention at the time but that was my friends loon who was doing the PA last night. He's Dandies mental!
  21. Did Jonny Hayes actually say this about Consi and Scotland? I've only ever seen the quote on Twitter and FB.... Reply from Jonny Hayes today when asked about possible Scotland squad inclusion for Andrew Considine- "He can't, he plays for Aberdeen"
  22. In SSW Driving there and back strangely enough. This will be as tight as usual. I'm expecting a bumper turn out which history suggests means it'll be a frustrating game. I reckon we'll win by the odd goal and i hope the crowd will be regularly reminding ICT that Mr Tansey will be wearing one of our shirts soon. COYR
  23. I would climb on it. Looks pretty bland IMO but does seem to be packing a fine set of chesticles under that T-shirt.... that's all it takes really. For the record, i've never heard of her either.
  24. I was also born in Bellshill, stayed in Blantyre till age 6 then Kintore for a couple of years then Inverurie.
