  3. Few posts on other forums linking us to Miles Storey that was on loan at Caley and also Greg Tansey again lol.
  4. Greg Stewart from Dundee being linked now. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/dark-blues-striker-stewart-on-aberdeens-radar/ I did hear we were after him in January but Dundee asked for double what we wanted to pay.
  5. That is the part that confuses me, would they be due compensation form us?? Not sure how it works between the Scottish and English Leagues.
  6. TeamTalk reporting we have won the race for the lad Stockley. http://www.teamtalk.com/news/aberdeen-win-race-for-young-bournemouth-striker?
  7. The link I saw this morning was from the Bournemouth Echo.
  8. Jayden Stockley from AFC Bournemouth is a lad we are currently being linked with. 22 year old Striker who as been on loan at Exeter City this season scoring 10 goals in 22 games.
  9. Shay stays!!! New two year deal! http://www.afc.co.uk/news/7788.php#.VyHfZfmLSJA
  10. Rotherham are reportedly weighing up a move for Shay Logan - Daily Express.
  11. Andy McLaren has tweeted that we are rumoured to be after Hauke Wahl, a German central defender from SC Paderborn 07.
  12. Back to January and I heard the we initially wanted to get Greg Stewart from Dundee but our valuation and Dundee's valuation were miles apart. We then tried to get Roystyn Griffiths from Roda but they were looking for a fee around the £400k mark and we wouldnt pay that as the player was out of contract in the summer. Then it was Tansey and we all know how that went. I did also here that McInnes felt out with the board in December when they discussed his budget for January, he felt with a bit of backing we had a real chance of winning the league but they wouldn't agree to back him which led to a a bit of a fallout. May explain why the move for central midfield player was left to so late in the window when at that point it was a real necessity to try and sign someone with Jack injured. Of course it was all through the grapevine so it could all be hogwash.
  13. That was easily one of the worst performances I have seen. We were appalling. Scott Brown, words escape me, not all entirely his fault but that free kick was bread and butter for a keeper, from where he positioned his wall he they positioned himself all wrong. What he then did from the Saints corner was even worse, did trip over his own player, did he trip over himself or did he just fall over?!? We got lucky with a bad refereeing decision on that one. Then again just simple defensive errors costing us big time. Especially the 3rd goal, Considine caught in no mans land, easy ball through, 3-0 and Considine blames everyone but himself. Such a bad and disappointing performance, it was actually as though the players did not even want to be there. McInnes using this back 3 again to try and protect the young lad Rose, as far as I can remember that back 3 hasn't really worked for use in the past so why try it again?? Especially with the players we had on the bench. The young lad McLennan, some people seem to be praising him, thought he did ok but nothing special. It is very clear that a new spine is needed in this team, defence needs plugged, goalkeeper situation needs fixed and we need a dominant central midfield player or even two.
  14. I wouldn't exactly say signing him would be a step forward for us.
  15. We continue to try and win out remaining games. The League is done and dusted in my opinion so I think solidifying 2nd spot has to be our main aim now. When do the post split fixtures get drawn??
  16. Very frustrating result in the terms of the first half performance we put in against Hamilton to then throwing it out the window a few days later against Hearts, we have no consistency at all. Think is I honestly think given our squad we were good enough to win this league but we have really just let ourselves down by not raising the performance bar at times. Celtic for me are probably at the weakest they have been for quite some time and they were there for the taking this season. If we had been a little sharper in transfer dealings could we have done better, maybe. I still think we came out of the January window weaker than we entered it but who gets the finger pointed at for that, McInnes, the board?? I have said previously that I have a lot of respect for Stewart Milne for using his own money to keep the club a float over the year but this season with the club debt free and with a real genuine chance to challenge for the League would it really have killed the multi millionaire Mr Milne to reach in to his own pocket and give McInnes some cash to really bolster the squad. I certainly dont think so. What would £500k and a few years wages do to Mr Milnes back balance, would it even scratch it? Maybe what I have said is a tad harsh but it is just my frustrations venting out a bit.
  17. My opinion on Jack is that he is a player I would noy mind if we cashed in on in the summer and I wouldnt mind if we kept him. In my my opinion he is a decent player, nothing more.
  18. That is indeed a worry. It is only a matter of time before the knocks start ringing on the Pittodrie door for the likes of Johnny Hayes etc. Even McInnes is likely to be subject to an approach from another club at some point.
  19. I certainly would not say no to Church staying. The lad can score goals. Church, Rooney and Shankland upfront next season, would not mind that at all.
  20. Was really impressed with our first half display, we were all over Accies and it was 3-0 going on 6-0! Second half the foot was off the gas a little but still controlled the game and still had chances to score. Overall very pleased with that showing and if we start the Hearts game like we did against Accies then I would be a very happy man. Standouts for me were Shinnie, Hayes and McLean.
  21. Heard a murmur that we were after him but you never know with these things. He seems a decent player and I would say he is definitely worth taking a chance on considering it would be a free transfer.
  22. This is good news. I agree that Rogers must have the inventive of challenging for the No 1 spot next season if he is staying.
  23. The center of our defense certainly needs looked at in the summer, at the moment I honestly dont have faith in Considine, Taylor or Reynolds. We definitely need another quality central midfield player, another striker is a must and if we have the budget maybe another winger so we have some real competition in there if McGinn and Hayes are injured or off form etc. In terms of players out, Brown, Considine, Tyalor, Reynolds, Flood, Pawlett and probably even Ryan Jack, as long as decent replacements were being sought after then personally I wouldn't mind any of these players leaving the club.
  24. It worries me that Pawlett will most lilely be the replacement for Hayes.
  25. Daniel Adejo is now on trial at St Johnstone.
