  1. A little piece from Shay Logan on the Hayes saga. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/472929/shay-logan-says-aberdeens-jonny-hayes-is-worth-more-than-rangers-winger-barrie-mckay-and-celtic-star-james-forrest/
  2. McInnes had an initial telephone call from Neil Warnock to ask about Hayes availability, I would guess that is the 3rd time he is referring to. Yeah May would be a good signing but he would either have to play with or ahead of Rooney I would imagine and I cant see the latter happening.
  3. Dons linked with a loan move for Stevie May. In regards to to Hayes, Cardiff really are a bunch of jokers. They get told they need to pay more money so they go and offer the same out but just structured differently. Clowns. Hopefully they will now look elsewhere.
  4. Not sure mate. Could just be because it was Killie making the offer
  5. GMS would be a good replacement should Jonny leave. Talk on other Dons forums of possibly 1 player heading out today and 1 arriving, so maybe something happening today? Twitter murmurs that Cammy Smith could be coming back and also that Killie had a bid for Storey accepted but Storey would rather leave on loan and give himself a chance at breaking into the team at Aberdeen rather than leave permanently.
  6. Browsing a Cardiff City forum and Kennedy played in an U23 match last night, seems to have played quite well and even scored a freekick.
  7. Twitter talk that Cardiff could come back with a cash + player offer, with Matthew Kennedy being rumoured to be the player offered. EE have reported on it. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/aberdeen-cardiff-city-hayes-warnock/
  8. It does certainly seem to be that most talk at the moment is focused on players leaving and it has gone very quiet in regards to any new arrivals this month.
  9. Best of luck to the lad but yeah I cant say he will be missed.
  10. Jonny going would a hammer blow to the club and the fans for sure. My only hope that is if he does go that it is not some deadline day deal where we are then left scraping the barrel to rush in a relacement. Also of course that McInnes MUST get some of the transfer fee to spend on the replacement should it happen.
  11. Because I dont claim to be an expert in these things. Maybe 'its just my opinion' would have been a better term to use.
  12. I am probably wrong but that article sort of sounds like that Hayes possibly wants the move and it could just be a case of Cardiff coming up with more money.
  13. £500k is an insult. Like I said yesterday though, I fear if an offer around the £1million mark comes in then it will be accepted. It will be interesting to see what sort of reaction Hayes will take to this now.
  14. I would imagine that if Cardiff come in with a offer that is 7 figures then that would be accepted and the move itself would then be down to Jonny. That said this could all just be internet nonsense and Cardiff will look elsewhere. In terms of incomings it is very quiet, I would have at least hoped we would look to add a CM in this window.
  15. Twitter murmur is that we have rejected a £500k offer from Cardiff for Jonny Hayes.
  16. It would not surprise me if Logan had a release clause fitted in to his contract. £200k would be ridiculous though.
  17. If the deal was right then I wouldnt say no to Tansey but I cant see it happening. Not sure if he is what we need but if he did sign for us then it would allow Shinnie to return to LB and McLean to move up behind the Striker, where I personally think he is best.
  18. The Sun reporting that Maddison is coming back. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/389381/norwich-star-james-maddison-is-on-his-way-back-to-aberdeen/
  19. I agree, I would love to see Joe Tied up on a long term deal.
  20. He now plays for a team called Holland Park Hawks in Brisbane, I think he is actually the team captain. My older brother is the president of the club, Dan even lived with him for a while, still gets some stick for that tackle on Abou Diaby.
  21. When we are not tucking 10 man Ross County in to bed and telling them goodnight then that is simply not good enough. Squad size is an issue for McInnes but purely because it is becoming very clear that he has no idea of who to play or where to play them. Add the fact that under performing players are being played every week regardless, then you have a recipe for disaster. We can roll in to the window and sign 5 new players, it wont make one bit of difference unless they are utilized properly on the pitch by the manager. The 4-2-3-1 shape that we deploy every match has become so predictable that I wouldn't be surprised if rival teams dont scout us before they play us anymore. At this moment in time we are very stale and very predictable.
  22. Yeah I didn't mean for it to sound like Maddison had played well, he was just the best of a bad bunch in attack. Like you said, our entire front line seemed to be off the boil.
  23. Maybe I just get too much in to it. I think it was after we had that decent-ish performance against Killie I thought we would roll that into the St Johnstone match but it actually felt like we had taken two steps forward and about 5 steps back.
  24. That was truly an awful performance, I actually left the game on Saturday angrier than I did at the League Cup Final! We could barely string a pass together, so many players were sloppy in possession and we created next to nothing in terms of chances. The gaping hole in the centre of midfield reared its head once again. I think St Johnstone were actually unlucky not to sneak the win. Jack was away in cloud cuckoo, every time he got the ball he had no idea what to do with it. Pawlett, fans were talking him up as some sort of savior after the Killie game, to put it lightly, he was woeful. Couldn't complete a pass longer than 2yrds in front of him and everytime he tried to run with the ball he lost possession. McGinn was non existent. Hayes was quiet, didnt even seem to want to try and take players on. Rooney and Stockley are offering absolutely nothing upfront, Miles Storey must be really scratching his head on the bench wondering why he cant get a game. McLean showed once again that he is not a central midfield player, goes straying out of position and gets bullied about too easily. Shinnie I think started at left back but again was drifting about leaving Considine to come out on cover for him. Maddison looked like our only way of creating a chance but his final ball was either not finding the mark or he was just taking that one touch too many and losing possession. Considine, O'Connor and Lewis are the only players I would say put a shift in. Fans saying 'oh St Johnstones tactics ruined the game' rubbish. All St Johnstones tactics did was work for them. They had a game plan, the played to it and were actually unlucky not to win the match. Whatever gameplan or tactics we set out with just clearly did not work. Awful awful awful performance.
  25. Considine - Keep. Gets stuck in and puts a good shift in. Pawlett - Let him leave. Had a couple of flutters against Killie but against St Johnstone he was awful. Time has come and gone IMO. Jack- Let him leave. We will probably keep him but being honest I wouldn't mind if he left. Taylor - Would give him an extra year but he would have to accept he would be backup. McGinn - If he turns up and plays like he can then he is superb. Recently however he is having more off days than on days. Could be time for him to move on.
