  1. No I dont think he has come out and said he wants to leave yet. I think his girlfriends is very close to giving birth so that may change when she does as I am sure it would be a big strain on him being away from his newborn so much.
  2. It would be sad to see Logan go but I think we can all understand his reasons. £150k is a joke though, he is worth more than that even if he is entering the final year of his contract.
  3. Draper wouldn't be a bad signing either, he would certainly add height to our central midfield, something we definitely lack.
  4. I think Watkins would be a great addition. If this is true and we have offered him a deal then maybe Shinnie could just give a little nudge aswell
  5. Yeah I think we were. Used to play for Motherwell before moving to Cardiff for £300k. He then spend a couple of seasons at Doncaster before signing for Ross County. I know he can play both CB an RB so he would give us cover in both those areas which is good.
  6. According to the P&J we are closing in on Ross County defender Paul Quinn. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/596899/aberdeen-close-in-on-deal-for-staggies-defender-paul-quinn/
  7. It really impressed me they he openly admits that he had better offers to move down south but decided to take less money and sign for the Dons in order to play football. That is the kind of player I certainly want at the club.
  8. Really good interview with him on the BBC website. Seems like a really intelligent lad, future captain perhaps?? http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32908290
  9. I would hate to see McGinn leave the club but I guess if it were to happen as long as we got a decent tranfer fee for him that could then be reinvested into the playing squad then it may soften the blow. It something we will have get used to in this transfer window as I think there will be a fair bit of interest in some of our players.
  10. I guess he could make a good coach, who knows.
  11. Obviously I have a lot of respect for Leighton as he is a club legend but I think this is the right move from Deek. The goalkeeping has been an issue for a while and that is probably not just down to the quality of the goalkeepers themselves. It will be interesting to see who will come in a GK coach now. Langfield for me has to go now, he has been a great servant and he fully deserves his testimonial but I personally feel the time is right for him to go.
  12. Main Stand, RDS Lower and Merkland all sold out for Sunday, hopefully send Anderson out on a high note! COYR!
  13. If McInnes is sticking with Langfield and Brown for next season then I am not really sure why we would be looking to bring in a young keeper on loan, even if Rogers was going back out on loan again. Of course it could be possible that McInnes feels this lad could challenge for the No 1 spot.
  14. Derek has now rubbished the Stevie May reports. I think we can mark this one as dead in the water.
  15. Tommy Wright has now come out and said he has spoke to Sheffield Wednesday about the possibility of Stevie May coming back on loan to St Johnstone but is claiming he has been told that Stevie May wont be leaving the club on loan next season. So this could be a non starter, unless we are willing to buy him of course
  16. He hasn't the best of starts to his Dons career but I hope with a good pre season behind him he will improve next season.
  17. For myself I think this season has been better than last, especially for the club as a whole. We have tied down most of the 1st team squad to long term deals so should any teams come knocking for any of them then they will have to cough up some cash in order to get them. The clubs debt has been cleared which probably led us to spending the rumoured £300k On Kenny McLean, I mean when the last time Aberdeen forked out that sort of money on a player?!? On the park I personally feel we have played better than we did last season, I mean last season it came down to the final day to secure second spot and this season we are currently sitting 19 points clear of Inverness Caley in third place. Yes last season will be more memorable due to the League Cup win but this season has AFC build on that and it certainly looks like we will continue to keep building on going forward into next season.
  18. That is myself renewed for next season #COYR
  19. Agree Hilton, Considine can easily slot in CB in my opinion.
  20. A new keeper is a must in the summer. I would also like to see us bring in another wide player as I personally though it was an area we suffered in when Hayes got injured. Regardless of whether Jack or Robson leave I would also like to see us a sign a new CM, somebody that is a bit of a brute that can get stuck in and really impose himself on the opposition. Shinnie coming in is a great signing. I know some people think he should slot into CM and we could leave Considine at LB but I think Shinnie would be far better in at LB. Can you imagine what our flanks will be like with Shinnie down one side and Logan down the other?!? Considine has done well there this season and it would be harsh on the lad but as an attacking player Shinnie is in a different class.
  21. Sorry to see him go and I wish the lad all the best.
  22. I hope they continue the singing section, it has added some atmosphere to the stadium. It would be interesting to see if they open up the RDS Upper for next season.
  23. Hope this is true, would be a cracking signing. Could someone be on the way out though??
  24. Good result, just what the Doctor ordered I think.
