  1. Lets be honest, Jack wasn't going to come out and say that him and Logan tried to chin each other and that McInnes chewed out half the squad and upset a few people, of course he was going to try and smooth things over, its what happens. Hopefully tomorrow will bring a positive result and performance, we badly need it.
  2. Definitely a must win. If we dont come away with 3 points then some serious questions need to be asked of McInnes.
  3. For be the best pairing is still Reynolds and Taylor. Taylor can have that bomb scare moment but to be honest so does Reynolds, Quinn and Considine. The blame for our recent performances does not solely lie at Taylors feet.
  4. I think he should be playing just behind the striker and I really hope we can get a central midfield solution sorted soon as in my opinion when you have Jack and McLean in there then it is just a massive hole and teams just seem to dominate the center of the park against us.
  5. Last 6 games, we have lost 5, drawn 1, conceded 15 and scored only 4. Plain and simple, not good enough.
  6. It will be sad to see him go but as you said Tyrant he has not really been here this season since his little one was born.
  7. I think anyone who has sat in the stands and watched a Dons game since the Hibs game can clearly tell that something is not right somewhere along the line. Sure any gossip it purely that, gossip. Parts of it could be true but most likely it is all just hearsay. I do think the players have lost a bit of faith in McInnes but most likely as others have said is it down to his strange tactical and substitutions in the past few weeks. Bringing a right back on to play left wing on Saturday was a corker, even with the fact that we had Parker on the bench.
  8. For me it was also how Jack became captain that irked me a little bit, it was clear it was a clause for him signing the new deal. What was so wrong with Reynolds as captain??
  9. Another poor performance by us. A brief 15-20 minute spell after the break where we looked like we were clicking back into place and then it all just went to pot. We seem to be so slow in our build up play, we play around 5 or 6 passes across the midfield and by the time we think of going forward the opposition has everyone back defending and we then find it difficult to break teams down. What happened to earlier in the season when we were catching people on the break and using McGinn and Hayes down the flanks?? Ryan Jack for me isnt a captain, watching him against St Johnstone and on Saturday and he barely has any interaction with the players around him at all, I would rather see Shinnie get the band or even Reynolds again, heck even big Ash would do a better job. Something is certainly not right somewhere, confidence is rock bottom and the players don't seem to be interested. Something has got to give and soon.
  10. Sadly I would have to agree with some of the thoughts being shared here, I certainly did not see 11 players who were playing for their manager or even the fans on Saturday which is very sad. Exception for Danny Ward however as he was very passionate at the end when he pulled off those string of saves and he did not jold back in venting his frustration at the players in front of him. I genuinely hope McInnes can turns things around but I think we can all agree that something has twinges somewhere and something certainly isnt right and you do get the feeling that maybe the players are not behind him 100%.
  11. Dons have no released a statement saying they have no idea where the Scotland rumours have come from and that it is business as usual at Pittodrie.
  12. Personally I wouldn't buy anything in to it, unfortunately a rumour like that can do a lot of damage though.
  13. Out of the blue Ladbrokes have suspended betting on McInnes leaving Aberdeen and he is now 4/1 to be the Scotland boss. There is also another rumour but I wont go into that.
  14. Yeah I think that article is a bit OTT in my opinion. Dont get me wrong I genuinely believe that something isn't quite right somewhere whether it is a just a confidence issue or something else I am not sure but unlike McGhee and Miller I personally have 100% confidence that McInnes will get the issues ironed out and will get the lads back on form again.
  15. Still in shock as to what I sat in the stands and watched on Saturday, absolute embarrassing performance. It honestly looked like 11 players who don't know each other decided to turn up and play a game of professional football. I think we need to get back to basics and stop tinkering with the line up and formation, there is also a couple of non performers that need a boot in the back end in my opinion. I know a lot of fans are still going on about the fact we are still top, to me after 3 defeats on the bounce, shipping 9 goals with 5 of them being in one home game, being top means nothing. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks McInnes can get their arses in gear and we can get going again against Ross County.
  16. Was a little disappointed to see the window close and not see us make another addition to the squad. We do have a good squad in place but as already mentioned if we get an injury to say Rooney or Jack then we don't really have quality of depth in that area in my opinion.
  17. Yeah seemingly he is moving there on a permanent deal. Well it was a nice thought while it lasted.
  18. Stevie May will be a deadline deal I reckon if there is a deal to be done. It is clear that the lad wants out so you never know. I would love to see him at Pittodrie personally. I would be sad to see Logan go but it may be the best deal for both him and the club if it were to happen.
  19. I guess it will all boil down to ambition really. I am not saying we go and get ourselves into debt again, far from it but I think another couple of good signings even on free transfers would go a long way for us pushing for the league and of course going all the way in a cup again.
  20. I agree with you an the title challenge Stooge, if we are serious about pushing for the title then we would need to add to the squad further. I ma not saying that we dont have a good squad but I just think we would need more depth and probably a little bit of extra quality to push Celtic further than we did last time. Celtic changed around 7-8 players for their game against Dundee Utd at the weekend and still won the game comfortably. I am not saying we need to add 7 or 8 more players as we dont have the finances for that but it just shows you what we are up against.
  21. Striker wise I would be fairy happy now with what we have, Parker, Goodie and Rooney should be enough. Of course if one of those, especially Rooney, gets injured then we could have an issue. If there was any possibility of another deal I would like to see a Central Midfielder added.
  22. Pretty pleased with that result. We played fairly well and pretty much dominated the first half, just a pity we did not turn that early pressure in to a goal or two though. Dundee did start the second but thankfully we settled down again and got ourselves in front after some good work by Hayes and of course Rooney to finish it off. Overall very pleased and hopefully we can keep this going as September is going to be a tough month for us.
  23. DM in the Evening Express again today saying that our business is done for the summer, he did say that a few of the younger lads may go out on loan. If we really are finished for the summer that I cant help but feel a little disappointed im honest.
  24. I hope DM is just playing a little coy with his comments on the transfer front. I still think we need another striker and a central midfield player, I guess he could be saving some of his budget for the January window though.
