  1. Plain and simple we weren't good enough and deserved nothing from last night. We can point the finger and blame refereeing decisions but at the end of the day we played badly enough to let the referee make those decisions in the first place. Taylor needs a spell of the bench, give someone else a chance until he pulls his head out his arse. I still think we made a huge mistake in not strengthening the squad in January. We let players go out the door and either did not replace them and if we did we didnt actually replace them with players of a similar or higher quality. Hopefully we can regroup sharpish and get a result against Partick.
  2. Taken from the AFC Site: Daniel Adejo played as a trialist this afternoon for Aberdeen. He featured for the full 90 minutes in the Development League fixture against Hibernian in Peterhead. The experienced Nigerian lined up at right back although he can also operate at centre half. Daniel played for AEL Kalloni FC in Greece last season. Before that the 26 year old played for Reggina in Italy from 2008-2014.
  3. Good to go there and score 4 and come away with 3 points as St Johnstone have never been the easiest of opponents for us. at 4-1 up though we really should not be conceding another two goals, I get the players were tired but it just goes to show what a lapse in concentration can do.
  4. I agree we need to get him tied down. I too though he started a little slow last night but he fairly grew in to the game and it was excellent to see one of central midfielders not allowing himself to be bullied about by Scott Brown and actually reverse it and get stuck in to him! Storie I think can mature in to a very good player.
  5. Exactly this. Shinnie seems to take being captain in his stride.
  6. An absolute superb performance last night. Ok we were up against it a bit form the start but we defended well and when our chances came in the first half we took them!! Hayes with a belter and it was good to see Church get a debut goal. I actually thought we were better in the second half than we were in the first, we were getting in to Celtic a bit more and they just did not like that at all. Storie I thought started a bit shaky but he really came in to the game and was very impressive in the second half. Top Don for me though was Shinnie, superb from start to finish and his work rate is excellent. I know some people think it doesn't matter who the captain is but I really hope he keeps the band even when Jack returns. Officials once again were not up to it, probably should have had a penalty and how Kazim Richards did not get sent off is beyond me. Overall a great performance and a great night! #COYR
  7. Surely that is a breach of the players contract by Caley Thistle??
  8. From todays pre match prezzer From the Press Conference at Pittodrie: Aberdeen FC @AberdeenFC Derek - We targeted two players, we got one but not the other. Delighted to get Simon. A player who can help us. Simon thrives on service and is a strong willing runner and good team player. I spoke to John Hughes this morning and he agrees we acted in a right and proper manner throughout. I think there has to be guidance in these matters as we triggered the clause in his contract. I trust the players I have at the club and we look to win as many of the last fifteen games as we can. Celtic are always the toughest challenge but it's always an opportunity. Willo and Ryan still out. Jonny has been bitten by a dog but will play.
  9. If I was AFC I would certainly be taking this to the SFA or even above. If a release clause is met then surely if the player agrees the move then they have to release his contract. Inverness have behaved like a spoiled child and have grasped at a wording issue to hang on to a player who clearly wanted to leave. If rumours are to be believed both Tansey and his agent are pretty pissed about what Inverness have done. There must have been a point where they were going to release him as they signed a replacement for him.
  10. Very disappointing transfer window for us. We have actually come out of the window a weaker team then when in opened. As for the Tansey move, well I am lost for words on that one. Overall a real lack of ambition shown from the powers above at this football club.
  11. Seems Caley are playing a little hardball and wont let him talk to us unless we pay the £200k up front.
  12. Will be pleased if this goes through. Defo the type of player that fits the bill of what we need in CM.
  13. I honestly feel that if we do not sign anyone then is shows a real lack of ambition from the clubs hierarchy.
  14. The EE now reporting that we will not be signing the lad Griffiths from Roda.
  15. No he wasn't in the line up yesterday but has played around 19 games for Roda this season I think.
  16. We are being linked with a loan move for Rostyn Griffiths. An Aussie central midfielder from Roda JC.
  17. Yeah Andy Shinnie has indeed gone on loan to Rotherham http://www.player.themillers.co.uk/latest-news/82f726ae-4692-476e-83c6-66318fdb9c0c
  18. Pawlett set such a high bench mark for himself with his form a couple of seasons back and he just has not carried on from it. There is a cracking player in there but he just isn't showing in and hasn't done for a while.
  19. O'Halloran and Irvine would be decent additions but I think the former is bound for Rangers I would say. Irvine could be a possibility, we have clearer done Ross County a favour with Paul Quinn so there could be something there.
  20. I actually heard that there was a club after him the other day but it was just one of these through the grapevine rumours so I didnt pay much attention to it. Be a good move for the lad, deserves to get some game time under his belt.
  21. Spending big never happen. The club did however turnover a profit of around £500k last year didn't it?? So we are going in the right direction in that sense. The only way McInnes is going to get cash to spend is if it comes from Mr Milne himself.
  22. The Sun reporting that Quinn will sign for Ross County today on a free transfer.
  23. Cant say the lad has put a foot wrong, he has certainly came in and did a job. I would imagine that we will move for a more experienced CM but Storie should definitely be getting more game time for us. Was really impressed with McLean playing in that deeper role against Dundee. Obviously McInnes wouldn't keep him there but he did well.
