Pathetic, lethargic and devoid of coherence. We look really poor from open play. Thought young Campbell did okay when he came on, other than that though, hard to pick a positive performer. Dundee can certainly feel hard done by, but fuck them, I am far more concerned as to what we're aiming for this season and what way we're going to achieve it. The Football on display has yet again, be absolutely fucking turgid. Still think we're actually a player or 2 short. And we have drawn Hearts away in the next round, for those that missed it.
-
Can't say I remember us having a single shot on or off target in that 45 minutes? Similar to the St Mirren game in that we're fortunate to go in 1-0 down. Tone was set after 60 seconds, Bryson asking for the ball in the middle of the pitch, in acres of space, and Considine punted it long to Cosgrove, who was surrounded by 4 defending players. It's actually a piss take, McInnes is really starting to piss me off, I am actually getting extremely annoyed with him. Cliche as it sounds, but yet again, we're utterly predictable. We don't look capable of creating opportunities from open play, let alone scoring from open play. Embarrassing.

Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding
KennyFuckinPowers replied to KennyFuckinPowers's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Neil Lennon said today after their game that there is a possibility there will be another addition to their squad, ahead of their Europa League game, but he said the player in question will be Cup-Tied, now of course that could literally mean any player from any squad that has already played in the Competition this season so far, but the murmurings are that it is Scott McKenna. IF that is the case, I would hope we get a respectable fee, and I probably would take Hendry as part of the deal, purely because Devlin seems to be a bit of a crock, so no harm having another CB, who knows the League, as cover/for rotational purposes. See what happens. -
Would imagine Campbell will just replace Ferguson, Bryson surely won't be ready to start a game, considering how long he has been injured and unavailable? We should be too strong for Dundee, but then I thought that about St Mirren last week and we know how that turned out. I think Cosgrove will start up front, or at least I hope he does, we won't go with 2 strikers, people will need to realise that, he's not got it in him to play with 2 Strikers, and I don't mean a second Striker playing out wide, like he does with May & Wilson, another mind boggling " Tactic " Struggling to get giddy for this one, we've failed to score, or even come close to scoring, really, in the last 3 games, I expect a low scoring affair. 1-0 Dons Win, Cosgrove the scorer.

Scunnered already Manc, I fully appreciate it's very early in the season, but carrying on from last season, in where we clearly regressed, I can only see it deteriorating as opposed to improving. The Football is back to being turgid, predictable shite and he's too much of a Chocolate to change it. I'm pretty much resigned to not wanting him in charge now, and that was from him being a safe bet when he was offered the contract extension. Sad how quickly it changes.
-
I have wrote paragraphs, deleted them, came back on and wrote more, repeated that process for almost an hour now and just gave up. Bottom line is, it was fucking shite, from start to finish. Any early optimism I had is completely gone, I just wonder how we'd fair if we had a manager in place that used the players at our disposal to their strengths. We are so fucking predictable it's infuriating. That whole Cosgrove thing, about him being out for this game, what was the fucking point in that? What was that ever going to achieve? Totally scunnered already, I think we'll have a much worse season than last, and that was pretty fucking underwhelming as it was, was only masked by some positive results against the Hun bastards.

He was always going to play. I had a gut feeling it was of those classic McInnes mind games He used to do it with Hayes, then Mackay Steven, now it's poor Cosgrove's turn, hopefully the big fella takes it in his stride and doesn't feel too much expectation. Happy he's starting, obviously, but personally find McInnes a bit cringe-worthy with this shite, especially if it back fires. Anyway, hopefully he has his shooting boots on this evening, and we'll need an assured Considine and McKenna partnership. 2-1 Aberdeen FT ( Cosgrove, Hedges )

Can I ask a completely irrelevant and hypothetical question? See the likes of Igor Biscan, Dan Petrescu etc.... If we ever did punt McInnes, or he left on his own accord, could we attract those aforementioned managers? Would we be a bigger pull than the likes of Rijeka, in the Croatian League, or Cluj in the Romanian League? Forgetting about Family etc... if they were approached and had zero personal drawbacks, would they leave their respective clubs for us? More in terms of Competition, progression to a club down South if they do well, budgets etc.... I appreciate it's not relevant to the match, I was just having a conversation with a fellow supporter and we had very mixed opinions on it.
-
Imagine this was one of those McInnes moments, where someone is unlikely to play, but they then go on to make it, and we still lose I wouldn't put it passed him by the way. We can't go with Main again, not on his own, we most definitely can't go with Stevie May, I am still at a loss as to why this fraud is still at our club, so really only leaves Anderson & Wilson, if we are persisting with the 1 Striker, if not, would probably like to see Main & Wilson partnering each other. We will need some sort of brutish player up front, with a more technically astute player beside him, be that Anderson or Wilson, who knows. If Cosgrove is absolutely out though, and this is not some sort of tactical media mind games, then I fear another goalless Aberdeen, for the 3rd consecutive game.
-
To be fair, you have always maintained this. I must have the wrong spy....... Ten Caat, you are absolutely correct, he wasn't really that bad at all, that one misplaced pass vs St Mirren, in a 4-1 win for us, was literally the only thing he did that stood out negatively. He made a positive impact when he came on at Home to Hearts, in a game that we were being overran and outfought in the middle of the park and away to Livingston, when we chasing a winner, and like you said, he certainly knew how to pick a pass, the mobility side of things would surely have came with more minutes on the pitch? I am resigned to the fact that he's probably done though, in terms of his pecking order.
-
Allegedly injured. I think though, even when he returns, he'll find his game time even more restricted than it was last season. He was wrote off almost immediately and I never understood why, but McInnes obviously sees what the other people see or he'd have been given more game time. Thought he would have been a good addition, but I reckon Rico has found out where he lives and has been injuring him in his sleep.
-
Cheers Rico, turns out that the USB I have is too big, in terms of Storage, as it's 128GB, I borrowed my daughters 32GB one and it worked! Odd that they don't recognise anything above 32GB, but I might invest in a External Hard Drive as opposed to the USB Stick, perhaps that'll work.

St. Mirren away, Sunday Aug 11

Shirley not? We need 3 without reply, so containment won't get us anywhere, even McInnes must know that, for his many flaws, he can't be that fucking stupid? Hoping we come out, high tempo and intensity, get a goal, preferably 2 before HT, and take it from there. We need to get in their heads as soon as possible on Thursday night, a goal in the opening 15-20 minutes would put the shiters up them, they'd end up deeper and deeper, noisy crowd and as I said, high tempo and intensity, it's not totally outwith us, of course, it does all depend on the way we're set up, and he's been known to shit the bed before, surely this time he's learned? -
You're genuinely my favourite poster on here, and I'm not taking the piss or sucking up your arse ( Don't even know you ) but I respect your honesty, your not giving a fuck and the fact you rub people up the wrong way. And no, I couldn't give a fuck if you dislike me I shall brace myself for the incoming " Oh Friend " abuse

I am trying to watch a movie through my USB Stick, via my Smart TV, but it's not even recognising my USB stick. It's a 3.0 USB, and I am inserting it into the USB 3.0 Port on the TV, the TV is a Sharp Aquos i7220 Series, the files on the USB stick are MP4 and AVI, as far as I am aware, the TV is compatible with both of those files. Really starting to irritate me, why is the TV not even recognising that I have put the USB stick in? I have even formatted the USB stick and tried again, but nothing. Would massively appreciate any tips/advice/help on this.

St. Mirren away, Sunday Aug 11

1-0 Flattered us. Can't think of any pass marks. Joe Lewis needs to show a bit more impetus when he gets the ball, and stop trying to calm things and players down, get a fucking move on. Considine and McKenna must have made some sort of record for totally unnecessary passes between themselves? Lewis Ferguson needs to grow up a bit and stop giving away needless fucking fouls, I genuinely cannot see what people see in him, he looked okay in the first couple of games, I thought " This is what I wasn't seeing " but after Hearts, Rijeka & today, it's back to the player of last season, utterly overrated, be interesting to see how popular he is if he doesn't score a couple of important goals this season. Still waiting for someone to point out a single game in that he's stood out in? Vyner didn't look like a RB, he looks like a CB all day long, Leigh was gash again, although he tried to get up as much as he could, he just looks unfit. Hedges looks like he's been told to stop driving forward, what the fuck is that about? He looked dangerous when he drove forward previously. Ojo wasn't up to much, McLennan and Wright were pish and Curtis Main was as good as a man down, at least Cosgrove comes deep and involves himself, gets others up the park, Main just sulked about and looked like he's never played Football before. That was a travesty today, their first win at home against us since 2011, no joke. And they should have won by more, 1-0 absolutely flattered us. I am fucking apoplectic at that fucking shite. Completely inexcusable. -

St. Mirren away, Sunday Aug 11

St Mirren will look to frustrate us, much like we did last night with Rijeka, an early goal though will suit us and they'll likely open up a bit. Lewis Vyner McKenna Considine Leigh Ojo Wilson Ferguson Gallagher Cosgrove Don't think we should rest/drop Cosgrove, he looked fit enough last enough and was still running his socks off late on, plus would like him to continue his goalscoring, keep his confidence perked up. I do think though, it's the ideal game to give Wilson another start and give Vyner his first start. -
They looked pretty average in my opinion, they were guilty of misplacing passes and gifting the ball away, so much so, up until their Penalty, their fans were getting pretty angry and being very vocal about it. Logan being a complete fucking wank and letting the team down, gave them a massive lift and from then on, they looked pretty comfortable. Manc, an early goal next week and you never know, we've shown in spells this season that when we play, we can be pretty threatening. But I do think Rijeka will score, hopefully we have our shooting boots on.

I said last week, maybe 2 weeks ago, it's clear we're going to set up completely differently when at Home and when Away. I expected a defensive performance tonight, but not that defensive. I think you'll see a totally different mindset next week, even if we'd got a positive result tonight, we'd still have seen a totally different mindset next week. Problem is, we showed them far too much respect and started treating the Ball like a fucking grenade tonight, nobody wanted to take responsibility and that's a disappointment. Niall McGinn was a let down, he shirked his offensive duties in my opinion, never once came for the ball, he got back and tried to help Leigh out, but offensively he was anonymous. Considine was probably the best player for us, he coped well and won just about everything, Leigh himself looked sluggish I thought, and Logan was decent enough up until that fucking idiotic moment, he's experienced enough and shouldn't be doing that. Ferguson was also anonymous, and guilty of gifting them the ball a few times, no coincidence that he became more prominent when Campbell came on, as he was pushed further forward, but up until then, he was fucking mince, Hedges non-existent and Ojo, although he tried to keep possession, was pretty disappointing as well. I forgot Gallagher was playing to be honest. Cosgrove was far too isolated, he actually won a fair amount of headers etc... but no-one was close enough to him to benefit from it, you could see his frustration as the game wore on. All of the above though, was down to our gameplan, correct line up yes, totally wrong gameplan. We offered absolutely zero threat going forward, other than 2 long strikes ( Cosgrove, Ferguson ) that were straight down their Keepers throat, we offered absolutely fuck all, and that's the most frustrating thing. When you get to this stage, against tougher opposition, an away goal is pretty much essential, we didn't even try. Very McInnes-like these last 2 seasons, that performance, devoid of anything coherent and meaningful. And whilst it's not over, it's a mountain to climb, I think they'll score next week and manage the game comfortably. Or we'll blow them out the park, lets hope it's the latter. Just feels awfully deja-vu.

Think we'd be mental to reject it, he clearly wants out now and 7 Million is not to be sniffed at, and hopefully some sort of percentage added for his next transfer? Al, I think you are probably more correct leaning on the transfer out side of it, especially given the timing of Forest's alleged bid, makes sense, they definitely got off the Plane, it was delayed due to it. Might be a bit of both actually, Vyner in, McKenna out. He'd need to be signed by 11pm tonight to be eligible for next weeks return fixture I think.
-
I think McInnes having done the press conference now, means it was bollocks, or as Ayrshire-Don says, it could have been supporters, he didn't mention anything about Players. EDIT - Just seen this from BBC. Despite being expected to fly out with the team, Aberdeen chief executive Duncan Fraser and director of football operations Steven Gunn failed to travel. Don't they normally deal with transfer's? Could be trying to work out a way to get Vyner in on time?

Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding
KennyFuckinPowers replied to KennyFuckinPowers's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Bristol City have just signed a RB called Pedro Pereira on loan for the Season, so I'd expect Vyner to be completed relatively soon.
