  1. James Wilson confirmed. 2 Year Contract right enough.
  2. According to Robert Grieve, James Wilson will be announced on a 2-year contract tomorrow ( After midnight now, so technically today ) Apparently it was between us and Sunderland, who apparently offered him a bumper deal, so I respect his decision if this turns out to be true, a very rare thing that, choosing Football over Money.
  3. On the radio earlier that we are trying to sign Marc McNulty now, apparently we tried to sign him when he was at Coventry, can't say I remember hearing about it. But he's been released from Reading and we have approached him, according to whoever it was talking on the radio. I would imagine Hibs will be back in for him too, see how this pans out if there's genuinely anything in it. If, and obviously a big if, we do actually sign him, surely then another Striker would be moved on ( May surely )
  4. I would be happy with either one to be honest, McGeouch is a tidy, neat and simple player, Mulumbu is an aggressive and physical, but has the technical capability as well. They would both bring something to the 11. I assume the Djoum rumours are not coming to fruition, although he is away at the African Cup Of Nations I think? So don't see anything happening there until he's back I'd assume?
  5. Celtic have released Mulumbu. I think he'd be a good addition if we could convince him to come here. Still has a good engine as he showed last season there and is very competent technically. He may choose to go back down South though and see out his career there, maybe even abroad.
  6. Watched the highlights on ReTV there, difficult to take anything from them, however, Logan, Cosgrove & Main all had decent opportunities and were unlucky, Taylor had a free header 2nd half that he completely skewed, heard a lot of laughing after he missed it, no bullshit, and Hedges, in the brief glimpses he was on the ball looked decent, tidy in possession and played a couple of decent forward passes.
  7. Sun saying we have offered James Wilson a contract. Some on Social Media saying he will indeed sign and will be announced next week. Sunderland & Preston apparently in for him also. If he replicates what he showed in the last few games of the season, I'd be happy enough, but for me personally, his overall attitude wasn't really positive and he looked disinterested the majority of the time.
  8. I saw an article when McGeouch signed the new deal at Sunderland, saying that the likelihood is that he will still leave, despite the new contract. He has openly said that he's frustrated, thinks he could have made an impact and is assessing his options. Heading into next season with Bryson, McGeouch, Ferguson, Campbell & Gleeson ( ) as our central midfielders isn't a worrying thought to be fair, hope it happens. McGeouch, 26, said: “I have a big decision to make. It’s disappointing I haven’t played as much as I’d have liked. “I’m fit and feel good and I felt I could bring something to the team on Sunday. “I expressed that to the manager, but he can only pick 18 players. “I’ll see where my future is at and take it from there. It’s been a stop-start campaign, but I’ve been available for the majority of games. I’ve only played a handful. “I’ve had wee niggles, but I’ve just not had a lot of game time. “I’m going to go away over the summer and reassess things and see where we are.”
  9. Is it not 100k? Or is this a woosh moment.
  10. Where have I stated that I don't rate him? Please point that out. I don't buy into the sycophancy around someone who hasn't proved anything outside of Domestic Football in Scotland, and again, IF he went to Burnley then established himself, he'd have shown by then he's capable of the far superior demand of the Premier League, as it stands, he hasn't. Not at any point have I said I didn't rate him, he's the best Left Back in Scotland, that doesn't mean he's automatically worth 25 Million, or that Arsenal " Might not be big enough for him " that's just fucking lunacy on both parts. And he's not even in the top 10 LB's in Europe, referencing McFadden's comment that he's in the top 2 in Britain, if not Europe. If they did sell him, and they replaced him with Max Lowe, I guarantee you that Lowe would make the exact same impact, if not better.
  11. He scored 14 goals, assisted 14 goals and was part of a defence that conceded 27 goals in 38 games. Not bad for a full back. 9 Goals and double figure assists the season before that. He was atrocious defensively last season, but he improved on that this season. Only him & that tit Goldson were the mainstays in their back 4, LB & other CB were rotated numerous times. I will say it again, I am not disputing that Tierney could go on and play at a higher standard, I am saying from what I have seen of him, in the 4-5 seasons he's been around, he's not much to write home about, good young Scottish full back, part of a dominating Celtic team, domestically, yet when in Europe, don't fair too well, a higher standard of opposition, which is natural, we'd struggle as well. I have seen nothing to suggest he's worth 25 Million and certainly seen nothing to suggest he's good enough to play in an Arsenal team, again, maybe earn stripes at a Burnley, Brighton etc... first.
  12. But he's not playing for Leicester or Burnley, and doing well, is he? The boy Wan Bissaka was put in and proved he's capable, I am not for one minute suggesting that he's worth the price tag they're throwing about for him either, that's English football though. I didn't see any noticeable difference between Max Lowe, in the short time we had him and seen him, than I saw in Tierney in the lengthy time I have seen him. Both athletic, like to get up and down the wing and both relatively quick, although I'd say Lowe was quicker, is Lowe worth the same as Tierney based on that? I haven't disputed his potential have I?, given he's only 22, I have disputed that he hasn't shown anything other than being a decent SPFL Full Back, don't see what's petty there? How has he proved he's anything other than a decent SPFL Full Back? Tavernier has scored a fair whack of goals, up there in the assists and is also quick, athletic etc... He's a better player than Tierney FFS, what is he worth?
  13. Okay, so I am late to the party with The Cure, have to be honest and confess I had no idea who they were! But someone in my company had this on and I was digging it right up until the guy started singing, however, it grew on me considerably and it's easily the best 50 seconds introduction to a song ever. So much so, I have now cut it and made it my phone ringtone
  14. I apologise wholeheartedly. I'm still holding out for him becoming a key member of our 11!
  15. Turns out there is indeed mitigating circumstances, Gleeson has a knee injury, so is doing light training, he is with the squad in Ireland after all. Coming back to Greg Leigh, he looks like a bit of a machine, very athletic and very quick. I actually think he might turn out to be a very shrewd addition, who will quickly become a fans favourite.
  16. Was a key position that needed filled, he looks absolutely delighted to be here as well. Erevidisie ( sp ) isn't an easy league, he managed 13 appearances there last season and the NAC Breda fans on their Twitter feed are not happy that he's been allowed to leave. Welcome aboard Greg, squad starting to take shape, apparently Gleeson isn't with the squad either, so looks like he'll be released, unless there are mitigating circumstances.
  17. Ben Chilwell is Leicester's Left Back, Tierney won't be played ahead of him, Napoli have Marco Rui, who is the Portugal Left Back, he's not going to play ahead of him either. Arsenal I can understand, Monreal ageing and Kolasinac isn't really that good, but he wouldn't walk into their team, and yes Paki Bonnar, they're more than big enough for him you fucking balloon. I'm not disputing his potential TC, but I will not buy into the " He's worth 25 million, he's more than good enough etc... " he's far from it. If the likes of Bournemouth, Burnley or a Brighton, took a punt on him between 8-15 Million, and he was successful, then I understand a bigger club going in for him, but as it stands, on the basis of what exactly? Does he merit a 25 million pound price tag, and the possibility that Arsenal are not a big enough Club for him? At least with Robertson, we saw he was more than capable of stepping up after his successful stint at Hull City, in the Premier League. Even then, it took him a while to step up. And lets see how concrete any interest is, Leicester obviously being linked due to the Rogers connection, probably fuck all in that one.
  18. Robertson earned his move to a Club like Liverpool by going to Hull City if I remember correctly, playing and proving that he can play, against far superior players than we have up here, 2 seasons of Premier League and a season in the Championship, where he played over 90 matches. He's now Scotland's Captain, Liverpool's 1st Choice Left Back, a Premier League Runner Up and a Champions League Winner, he's only 25 years old. That's why he is worth that figure. He is absolutely streets ahead of Kieran Tierney, who is only 3 years younger and done nothing apart from play in a Domestic League utterly dominated by Celtic. Like I said, there's potential there given that he may well improve the way Robertson improved, because let's not forget that Robertson wasn't playing initially as Klopp didn't think he was ready, but right now, he's a Bournemouth/Burnley Left Back at best.
  19. Cheerio Gary Can't wait to log on to Twitter and see the #OnceADonAlwaysADon cringe worthy as fuck tweets.
  20. I understand that St Johnstone want May back, according to their fans anyway, but we paid close to 500k for him, did we not? Yes, he's absolutely mince and been a complete failure, but I'd be pretty pissed off if we released him for nothing, at least try and claw some sort of fee back, maybe between 150k-250k. Or, let him go out on loan, hopefully he gets played as an out and out Striker, and gets some sort of confidence back.
  21. He's proven to be a decent SPFL full back, nothing more. Robertson is streets ahead of him, as is the likes of Danny Rose, Lucas Digne, Marcos Alonso, Ryan Bertrand etc... This is typical bollocks surrounding The Tims and their massively overrated wankers ( See Scott Brown ) The likes of McFadden saying he's in the top 2 Left Backs in Britain, if not Europe, and Bonner saying Arsenal are not big enough for him, fuck right off. They should have bitten Arsenal's hands off for that 15 Million, he's a good age, yes, he can improve under different training regimes and playing against a higher standard of opposition ( Although he may also struggle? ) But I absolutely guarantee you, Max Lowe, even the lad Greg Taylor at Kilmarnock, would have the same impact on Celtic's team if they were to replace Tierney.
  22. Somebody voted for Lewis Ferguson   I think for consistency's sake, apart from last season there, Shay Logan has been an excellent signing, he chipped in with goals, assists and defended well for several seasons, he gets my vote purely because he was a permanent signing ( Eventually ) the loans all contributed and some have gone on to get big moves. Joe Lewis is by far and away an outstanding piece of business, but I pipped for Logan purely because, well I actually don't know, I just did. And before anyone has a go at my laughing at Ferguson, it's because he's never stood out in any games, yes, we all know he's scored an important goal or two, but his overall performances have been average at best, some games atrocious, that's what I am laughing at, said it plenty of times, he'll develop into a terrific player, and a signing like Bryson will only help him develop more. EDIT TO ADD, Hector deserves a mention, he was a good addition as well, classy player.
  23. Still hopeful of adding 2 more before the Europe Registration Deadline. GMS may still sign but he's definitely speaking to a few other clubs, although the New York offer is dead. Only mentions that Left Back is the main position trying to fill now, but wants to add more throughout the squad. I missed the bastard, getting the buzz now for the season starting.
  24. Title track from Springsteen's new Album, if anyone is interested. Thoroughly enjoying it.
  25. " Bryson will be decent, but really only like for like for Shinnie. Looks like a downgrade actually if you think that Derby have taken Shinnie and sheep have Bryson in return. Clearly Derby think Shinnie is better. " Probably my favourite comment. I always enjoy a good laugh at the expense of rival supporters, as I am sure they do to, no doubt, but that there, is grade A fuckwittery. Sad that only a handful of fans from both sites, and actually TC, have a look at Killie's as well, they are seething, are able to be objective. This is a very good signing for us, he started 20+ games last season and they offered him a new contract, each and every supporter from Hibs, Hearts & Killie would have been over the moon with Bryson's addition. Fuck them. Anyway, still expecting at least another one in before the Europa League games start, hoping it's a Left Back.
