Hearts - Dons - League Cup 1/4
KennyFuckinPowers replied to manc_don's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Well, I'm not even remotely surprised to be honest. We have turned into a really abysmal team. 30 seconds into the match and Hearts are hitting the Crossbar. We find ourselves in a winning position twice and concede a 92nd minute equaliser with a makeshift Striker, who is a Centre Back, despite us having 5 at the back at that stage, game management at its finest. He then brings on free scoring Bruce Anderson ( albeit in the reserves ) with a minute to go, which was clearly for Penalty duty, instead of trying to win the game in Extra Time, the poor lad subsequently misses the Penalty and that'll be his confidence shot to fuck no doubt. How anyone can still want this utter cunt in our dugout is seriously beyond me. He never used to be a cunt, but he's fair turned into one. A dinosaur who is ridiculously stubborn. I am extremely angry, will be accused of overreacting, but he's seriously fucking annoying me. Eye-bleeding pish, playing for corners/free kicks and penalties, we look completely inept in open play and our players look like they're also regressing, instead of improving or even maintaining some sort of performance level. But the injuries, the rebuilding every year etc... etc... he has the 3rd biggest budget in the League and has us playing like we've just been promoted from the fucking Championship and struggling to cope with the demands of the Premier League. The Huns at the weekend will be fun, then again, he's probably jammy enough to scrape a draw or even sneak a win and all will be forgiven yet again. -

Big Halkett playing up front for them near the end and heads in an equaliser, apparently Mulraney had ages to pick out the cross, which is infuriating because we have so many defensive players on the pitch. Unless we get another Penalty, can't see us scoring. -

There isn't one yet again. Two games in a row FFS -
Are you referring to Gallagher? If so, it was McInnes that said post match there may be a break there, he was away to get it scanned, fortunately, or even unfortunately for some, it wasn't a break and he was good to go.

Don't shoot the messenger, just starting a Topic based on the BBC Sport Scotland takeaway from the Weekend there. Team-mates McKenna and Michael Devlin have both received Scotland call-ups, yet Considine is constantly overlooked. With McKenna likely to still be injured come the Euro 2020 qualifiers with San Marino and Russia next month, is it time to give Considine his chance? See at the end of the day, I don't believe he's good enough to play International Football, never has been, but that's down to a number of reasons, the main one being that he's been played out of his Natural position for far too long. Maybe if he was selected as a Centre Back consistently for the past 10 years, and he showed the same level of improvement that he has done in that time, because he has improved, don't really care what anyone says on that, then maybe, because lets face it, he's been our best CB this season, he very rarely puts a foot wrong and he's cut out a lot of his nervous errors and mistakes that he was well known for in bigger games, of course they still creep in from time to time, but he's reliable. Is he worse than the likes of Devlin, Hanley, even McKenna to an extent? McKenna has time on his side, Considine doesn't, but if Lewis Stevenson got a sympathy Cap, then I think Andy should get one as lets face it, he cannot be worse than some of the Donkeys that been called up previously. Give him a start against San Marino! Moan the Considine * I have had no IPTV for 4 days now, I'm bored and pulling my hair out, this is to blame for this Topic.

Our record down there isn't great at all, is it? I can't see us going at them despite their piss poor start to the season, just not McInnes' style I'm afraid. He will make it harder than it has to be, but nobody will care if we get into the Semi Final. Hopefully they get beat today as well, get their fans even more restless heading into Wednesday. Cosgrove will come in for Main, that's the only guaranteed change I can think of, maybe Logan for Vyner too, can't understand why he made that change yesterday unless Vyner was carrying a knock, or he was trying to get minutes into Logan. I'd take yesterdays shit all day long if it meant the same outcome! Lewis Logan Devlin Considine Leigh Ferguson Campbell McLennan Wilson Hedges Cosgrove -
Watched it there on Alba & it was certainly a lot worse than it sounded at the time. Just a totally inept performance with absolutely zero cohesion, we don't have a particular style of Football. I would have thought playing Gallagher RWB would have made more sense than playing McGinn there. Livingston cut us open too many times with absolute ease and Erskine's fresh air swipe in particular was criminal, thankfully for us. The midfield got absolutely bullied by Bartley, and Main offered the square root of fuck all, he had plenty of balls played up to him, head/chest and feet and he pretty much lost possession every time, granted he never got service from the wide areas in and around the box, but his overall play was fucking abysmal. We are going to suffer a doing at some point, today could quite easily have been 4 or 5 in Livingston's favour, there keeper had literally fuck all to do ( other than pick the ball out of the net ) and they can absolutely feel aggrieved, the fact we've been outplayed by Livingston is pretty disappointing. However, we take the Clean Sheet and the 3 points, guess for the time being that's all that matters.
-
Sounded like an absolute horror show yet we come away with 3 points and a clean sheet. The fans certainly made themselves heard and I sincerely hope it's a wake up call to the Manager that we can't continue to put in these types of performances, we are capable of much better yet our Manager persists. I get we have Injury issues, but so do they and they still outfought and outplayed us, but as Slim alluded too, they are powderpuff up front, thankfully.
-
All Livingston 10 minutes into the 2nd Half. Fans getting really frustrated, can hear it as plain as day.
-
All in all, sounds like we've been horrendous and Livingston have missed several clear cut chances, yet we're 1-0 up. Fingers crossed he doesn't try this game management pish now and instead pushes for a second. Hate having no stream, bollocks.
-
There are no streams.
-
Can't get any streams to work and I have tried 3 separate sites.

Ojo out for 3 months and Bryson out for at least 4 weeks FFS. Gallagher is available though. McInnes said they had 13 players at training, not sure how but there we have it, not good.

Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding
KennyFuckinPowers replied to KennyFuckinPowers's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
No doubt in my mind that if he gets back to full fitness and does agree a deal here, he'd instantly be our best CB. I sincerely hope that everything works out for the guy. -
Wouldn't like to guess the 11 to be honest, has there been any updates on Ojo & Bryson at all? I know Gallagher's came back more positive than first feared. If Ojo is missing and Campbell is fit, I'd imagine Campbell will replace him, maybe Wilson in for Bryson, but more advanced and not so much box to box. Hoping Cosgrove pulls his finger out, been rather poor overall the last 2 games, but I still wouldn't be tempted to drop him for Main. Would like to see Logan back in for Vyner, I think Logan has a better delivery and is probably better at getting up and down the wing, more natural to him than it is to Vyner, Vyner is a CB in my opinion, but can clearly fill in at RB if needed. Don't think there will be much in the game, will plump for 1-0 Dons, Hedges t score again.

Badly lacking a Stephen Gleeson, sooner he's back and fully fit, the better. -

Indeed, but Brown trusted Fraser and he was one of the first names on the team sheet, McLennan will only get better by playing consistently & also learning from the likes of McGinn. The boy has plenty of ability, he just need to sort out his decision making, that's what is letting him down badly.
