Another away game (yay).  Hoping that another week under the tutelage of Robson and co, they have a better understanding of what they want from them. Well aren't better than us (on paper) but we really need to stop that prick van Veen scoring against us. Has he scored against anyone else?  Their form is equally as shite as ours, however they will be buoyed by their win in the cup.

Almost forgot we have a game today, so has everyone else going by the thread.

Feel we need a win, but think it'll be a draw.

Will Brown play? If he does is this his last game? What sort of reception does he get? I think likely he'll be injured anyway.

 

Usually when we have these cup double headers with Motherwell the team that loses the first wins the second. Not sure that this will happen today. Hopefully we have McCrorie back as he and Bates look a better pairing than Gallagher and Bates. Not so bothered about Brown as we have cover in central midfield. Would start Besuijen as he at least looked like he might create something when he came on Tuesday.

Was there any news on his injury? Looked a bad one, possibly a tear, but certainly would have expected a lot of swelling. Sort of thing that would put you out for a few weeks. Guessing Brown might be out too, and maybe even Gallagher. Could be an interesting defence. 

Good that Goodwin is straight in, that's what proper managers do. Nae dicking about. 

It's not going to be beautiful fitba today like. That pitch shouldn't have passed an inspection last time we played on it, unless they were inspecting it for places to plant tatties. Can only imagine what it's like after this week's weather.

Goodwin said pre match it’s a 4-3-3 so Barron, mccrorie and Ferguson in the middle with besuijen and Montgomery either side of Ramirez.

Interesting to hear in commentary that Montgomery sees himself as a left back and that’s his preferred position. Certainly prefer him or Mackenzie at left back and hayes further forward.

Left back in Glasgow might work. Utter liability in three games so far. Really surprised by how bad he's been.

Fantastic play by Montgomery, giving the ball away and then deliberately not tracking the runner so that Lewis could nail van veen. Intelligent.

As I’ve said before, and even more so now with a new manager in place, unless there’s a potential agreement for a permanent transfer, no reason to even play Montgomery or jenks now. Like how Barron is being given a chance, maybe one or two others?

If you give a monkey a typewriter and infinite time, eventually Lewis ferguson will score a free kick.

Just step aside and give somebody else a chance.

Love Ramsay’s confidence but it always seems to be one touch, even one trick too many now. Get back to the basics.

Great play and great goal. Well done Montgomery, he's actually done okay so far. McKenzie was so bad the other night it would have been harsh to drop Montgomery. He's still a Tim though.
