Guest ally s
Interesting stuff. I wonder if he mentions claiming the match ball after scoring a hat-trick in a preseason match at Brechin. Normally it wouldn't bother me but I won the fucking thing in the half-time draw! Had to make do with a shitey Brechin City FC football instead. Rebus30
Apparently he's signing copies of his autobiography this coming Saturday at Waterstones in Aberdeen.

mizer
On a different note, I see that several papers have linked Dunc with the No.2 job at hibs.
BigAl
On a different note, I see that several papers have linked Dunc with the No.2 job at hibs. Probably a tenuous link on account of being ex team mate of Calderwood
Jute
Probably a tenuous link on account of being ex team mate of Calderwood Your are correct. That is reason being given in local papers down here.
RDU_64
Going to be buying his autobiography. One of my favourite players whilst I was growing up. Unfortunately won't be able to go to the book signing as I will be toddling off to the Broadhill at the time.
dickofthedons
It was a bit more than a tedious link, I think it was the EE that said they are good friends and that Calderwood is one of the few people from Duncs football career that he keeps in touch with. Rebus30
Forgot to phone Waterstones and check. Does anyone know if they got a few copies signed to sell to "randoms" in the shop after the event?
Kowalski
Quite an interesting read so far, he certainly doesn't like John Inglis! What I found strange was that Big Dunc says he's never been one for getting boozed up but his book is full of incidents where he's got hammered / missed training / been late etc... When he recalled the goals scored for himself, Mixu, Booth and Jess in his first season with us, I nearly wept. We can't even get one striker to get near the figures that four of them managed in one season!
tsr
I can't mind any bits where he missed training due to being hammered? Was a good read, mental personal life he's had.

When he went to see his brother when he was playing at Chelsea. I thought it was an alright, if unspectacular book. His daughter is hot. Reekie_Red
My old flatmate in Edinburgh is a hun. She always brings up the story of how she was in Franklyn's Piano Bar in Aberdeen in the late 90s, and snogged Duncan Shearer. She woke up the next morning with a huge cold-sore on her lip. Nice one Shearer. Spreading herpes amongst the huns since 1992
Kowalski
Almost finished this book. Interesting that when he talks about clearing out the deadwood when he and Pele arrive at the Dons, it is Bisconti and Guntveit that are getting the criticism. Bisconti in particular looked very uninterested by the sounds of things.
Reekie_Red
Guntveit moved to Brann four months before Pele and Shearer were appointed. As for Bisconti, the problems with him and his French-speaking kids had already been rumbling on long before the new management team arrived. As with most of the squad that Pele inherited, Bisco was at his best in the 01-02 season where he commanded the midfield in such a way that he even made Darren Young look like a footballer
tsr
Yeah, don't think he mentioned Cato to be honest, it was Eric Delemoux that he slated.
