This was 35 years ago today. In fact, with extra-time played, the penalties would have been starting just around now 35 years ago.

The length of those run-ups. The ref standing about a yard from the spot too. Remember it very well that shoot out, was secretly hoping that Snelders would have to take one (and score, after saving from Bonner).

How weird was the refs positioning?

I was there remember being so nervous when Charlie Nicholas stepped up to take his penalty as he had agreed to go back to Celtic but never in doubt!

Big Al was probs there too 😉

Get away with you missus, you're far too young to have been there 😉

1970, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1990 I was at all of them.

Don't really remember 1970 too much if I'm being honest

Really lucky to have been born when I was and seen us lift the Scottish Cup SIX times.

Beginning to wonder if I'll ever see it happen for a seventh time 🤔

Aw thanks Al haha

My first final on the tv was 1982 and in person 1984 and I'm the same feel very very lucky and also wondering if that's it over and out

I am getting on but not quite your vintage Al ( I was 2 in 1970)

I was a ball boy at the 1982 Final and had a great pitch side view. (Depending the highlights angle i can be seen right behind Simmie when he takes the throw in in the lead up to the 3rd goal)  I was at the 1983,1984,1986 and 1990 finals. Great times.

Nobody is Al’s vintage.

I was at 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1986 as a kid because teacher at school got us tickets as he knew someone at SFA. Actually also at 1987 and 1988 finals with tickets from same source.  1990 was only one where I could celebrate it properly.

Is this everyone handing back their cup final tickets after last night?

There are currently 1,139 tickets available.

Is it maybe tickets that were held back for supporters clubs initially?

Edit: I went on a big chin stroker about supporters clubs etc, when I should have just gone on Twitter first.IMG_4032.thumb.jpeg.5e12716abdaee309b1a5fcb5581e75d6.jpeg

Is there a weak form of the plague that they could perhaps get in their squad? Maybe one that only kills a small percentage, leaving the rest out of action for a few months?

Attending a few supporters events must considerably raise the chances of catching something 😉

Aye, I hadn't considered that. In all honesty, they'd probably enjoy getting the plague. Imagine the victim story that they could build out of that?

Would love to take some inspiration from the fact that Palace are are ahead in the 90th minute in the guffy final but in my opinion there really isn't a comparison.

Put simply the gulf between them and City is merely a fraction of the one that exists between us and the Tims.

16 point difference between Palace and City in the league. 39 between us and Victims.

Hadn't even looked at their league table to even check. That's quite astonishing. Although testament to the way Palace has been run over the decades. I do miss going to Selhurst. Was always a great day out.

Only went the once and remember it being a fair hike from station  and any pubs so a shite day out but that might have been my hangover.
