  1. Hartlepool Town are sponsored by Larsen Oil & Gas and Dove Energy, and used to be sponsored by DNO. Grimsby Town are moving to a new stadium named the Conoco Stadium after ConocoPhillips. While it's wrong to expect oil companies to throw money at us, there's certainly scope to seek investment from such companies if we're ambitious enough.
  2. Aye, not only is he utterly inept, it was a fantastic defence splitting pass by Aluko who was on the pitch for a total of 2 minutes.
  3. Who was it that bottled the challenge out wide on the halfway line? > >
  4. Good job Severin got injured seeing as Calderwood would seemingly rather have Foster on the pitch than Mulgrew
  5. It was Foster that tackled Kerr that led to their goal.
  6. That goal was a comedy of defensive errors yet again.
  7. Get Foster to fuck you fucking buffoon.
  8. Calderwood said we signed Bossu on the strength of Leighton's recommendation. Looking at Bossu's CV, we all knew he was garbage. Seeing him in action during pre season, we could all see he was garbage. Playing him tonight was gross negligence on the part of the manager. I see Celtic are signing an American goalkeeper as understudy to Boruc, might be worth making an approach for Mark Brown in January?
  9. I thought we played reasonably well in the first half, a solid base to improve on in the second half. Unfortunately, the players came back onto the pitch as if they'd just been forced to watch a 15 minute video of baby orphans being slaughtered, every head was down, no-one was up for it, and it took 4 players to just stand and watch Sandaza dribble unchallenged before taking the shot that led to the corner that led to their goal. We're being undone by Calderwood's poor transfers in the summer. Replacing one good central midfielder with 2 very average central midfielders and not buying a central defender is going to kill our season.
  10. Aluko, did more in 20 minutes than anyone else did in 90.
  11. I've been on a receiving end of a poorly written abusive e-mail from him in the past over something posted on the AFC mailing list that I used to be subscribed to. Pathetic clown of a man.
  12. Aye probably, although if we didn't have Leighton, we would have had Bryan Gunn as our No.1 and I think he was certainly capable of doing as good a job, but whether he would have or not is a different story.
  13. I'm certain that if we didn't buy Jess back from Coventry, we would've been relegated, so I'd have him as one of them. Others probably Willie Miller and Alex McLeish. Or possibly swap one of them for one of Peter Weir or Gordon Strachan.
  14. Made his debut for Burnley today at Right Back, played quite well seemingly: http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?tno=104&fid=297&sty=2&act=1&mid=2128547126
  15. I don't want to put all of the blame on 9/11, but it certainly didn't help.
  16. Do you mean pennants or am I being pedantic?
  17. I see he went off after 28 minutes in the Scotland U21 match against Lithuania, I hope it's not serious.
  18. I got banned from the original AFC Chat on the official site for posting details of a public appearance Andy Cameron was making in Aberdeen when he was opening the newly refurbished Makro store.
  19. Dunno, when we played Bayern at Pittdrie earlier this year, there were plenty of amateurish errors but the fans got behind the players throughout the whole match.
  20. And how often have we packed Pittodrie to the rafters against teams like St Johnstone with cheap tickets deals only for the team to get stage fright?
  21. It was absolutely gutless, Miller's about the only player who earned his wages. If we have to put up with a whole season of Foster at right back, I'm seriously going to consider not going back. And to think, that's pretty damn close to our strongest team
