  1. Aye, like the lack of first team opportunities for young players for example. Derek Young doesn't play any positions that the great white hope Peter Pawlett can't play, I don't see the point in wasting any money regardless of how much it is, on Young when we've got the opportunity to give Pawlett more involvement to aid in his development as a player. If he's stuck behind Young (who will be 30 when his contract expires) then we risk of not seeing Pawlett's full potential. Although we do need squad players, they still need to be of a certain standard of which Young is not. If we're going to fill our squad with cheap squad players who aren't good enough to play on a regular basis if need be, we'd be as well just using our youth team as the squad players, they couldn't do any worse and we may get lucky with one or two who come into the first team and hit the ground running.
  2. Who's starting shit about accountants? Eh? Eh? 'mon 'en
  3. RAF guy on Sky News didn't have any details on which rig it was as yet.
  4. That link doesn't work. You'll just have to get Paulie and the boys to grab him for you and take him to the Bada Bing.
  5. Signing for Dutch side Cambuur: http://www.cambuur.nl/cambuur/news/article327564.ece
  6. The majority of them I'd imagine, otherwise he's completely wasting his time watching games containing players that are out of our league.
  7. Jimmy Calderwood racks up thousands of miles each week travelling to watch games to identify signign targets. I refuse to believe that he hasn't seen at least a dozen strikers who are better football players than Darren Mackie in the last year or so. Darren Mackie is a dreadful player and if he gets a new contract, it makes a mockery of each and every supporter who hands of his or her hard earned (or not so hard earned) money to watch us play. If we want someone to annoy opposition defenders, give me half of Mackie's wages and I'll go round letting air out of their tyres.
  8. "Has to be someone from Bayern Munich, half of their team was really good"
  9. Didn't hear any boos for JDV but he was good when he came on, he's got to start ahead of Young next week. Kerr was excellent, really showed up Severin. We need to persist with the Kerr McDonald midfield partnership that wasn't too effective at the start of the season, now that they're settled, it might work. Mackie's effort in the first half was utterly pathetic on the other hand, no new contract for him please.
  10. I am listening to Chinese Democracy. I thought I'd never utter those words in my lifetime. What's even more surprising is that it's not too bad either, Street of Dreams is fantastic.
  11. What about all the defenders in the box that failed to get rid of it?
  12. So what he is saying is that when Aberdeen fans started moaning and groaning at the St Mirren game, we went on to score 2 goals and when Hibs fans started moaning and groaning on Saturday, Hibs went on to score 2 goals? I'm not sure I see his point.
  13. I can't see cheap tickets doing much for the crowd. I've got a season ticket and I can't be arsed going.

  15. The net bank debt of 6.5 million is: Bank loan of 9.7 million + Rolled up bankloan interest of 400k - Cash in bank of 3.6 million The rest of the total debt is owed to Milne and Gilbert
  16. The long term debt is currently sitting at: Bank loan: £9.7 million Rolled up interest on bank loan: £0.4 million (will keep increasing until loan is paid off) Loan from Stewart Milne/SMG: £1.2 million Loan from Martin Gilbert/AAM: £1 million Other: £0.1 million So we owe a total of £12.4 million at the moment and have cash in the bank of £3.6 million to offset against. However, under the terms of the financial restructuring, instead of the £9.7 million increasing year on year, the rolled up interest will increase over the next 3 years until the whole lot needs to be paid off. Taking into account the surplus cash we have and the interest that will increase, I estimate our overall debt to be about £10 million that we need to come up with.

Stewart Milne's been tearing up our greenbelt with the local councils in his back pocket for years, no-one's really batted an eyelid about that.
  18. The guy who posted that thread is taking the piss, none of that actually happened

That and Jack Nicklaus will have a course in Stonehaven, Paul Lawrie will have a course at Blairs and it looks like this new development at Hazlehead will be better than them all. With all these courses available to play on, Aberdeen could very well easily find itself as one of the main golfing resorts in the world, Royal Aberdeen included.
  20. To quote Drew Jarvie "his positioning is crap, his distribution is woeful and he doesn't think about what he's doing"
