  1. I want to see the back of Calderwood, but I disagree with protesting before a match. I'm not all that keen on the idea of protesting at all to be honest, the concept itself has never really appealed to me.

I want him gone, I have lost all faith in his ability to manage AFC. However, concerns over the cost of dismissing the management team and sourcing a replacement need to be addressed before we do anything. I'd like to see Willie Miller leave also.
  3. The council granted planning permission a few weeks ago for a business park/hotel/'leisure facility' complex in the plot between the stadium site and Balmoral Group's premises. The rail line that goes through Cove is about a mile from the stadium site, not sure how much it would cost to construct a station though. If they did build a station, it could link into the Inverurie-Stonehaven crosslink rail project. A concrete platform and some railings shouldn't be too expensive hopefully.
  4. McGhee didn't "blast" Aberdeen fans at all and the "nonsense" quote was regarding Motherwell fans criticising him.
  5. Why has this kid got his mobile phone on him in training? http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/ce/67/0,,10284~5662670,00.jpg[/img]
  6. Probably could do without the EE reporters banging on his mother's door badgering her for a quote.
  7. I don't know a single Dons fan who wants our club to be run like Hearts or expects us to sign £1 million players so instead of answering to criticisms that were never made in the first place, why doesn't he respond to the legitimate questions like why he gave Calderwood a 3 year contract extension and why players like Bertrand Bossu and Dave Bus are allowed to be signed?

    System Time.

I just updated the system time to account for the 20~ minute discrepancy so it should be sorted for everyone.
  9. "Managers like myself, John Hughes and Craig Levein set out to try and win every single game." Not Jimmy too?
  10. The drop in membership is probably to do with them not reminding folk they need to keep paying a tenner a year if they want to stay a member. I joined up when it started but didn't hear a peep from them afterwards.

  12. Aye, like the lack of first team opportunities for young players for example. Derek Young doesn't play any positions that the great white hope Peter Pawlett can't play, I don't see the point in wasting any money regardless of how much it is, on Young when we've got the opportunity to give Pawlett more involvement to aid in his development as a player. If he's stuck behind Young (who will be 30 when his contract expires) then we risk of not seeing Pawlett's full potential. Although we do need squad players, they still need to be of a certain standard of which Young is not. If we're going to fill our squad with cheap squad players who aren't good enough to play on a regular basis if need be, we'd be as well just using our youth team as the squad players, they couldn't do any worse and we may get lucky with one or two who come into the first team and hit the ground running.
  13. Who's starting shit about accountants? Eh? Eh? 'mon 'en
  14. RAF guy on Sky News didn't have any details on which rig it was as yet.
  15. That link doesn't work. You'll just have to get Paulie and the boys to grab him for you and take him to the Bada Bing.
  16. Signing for Dutch side Cambuur: http://www.cambuur.nl/cambuur/news/article327564.ece
  17. The majority of them I'd imagine, otherwise he's completely wasting his time watching games containing players that are out of our league.
  18. Jimmy Calderwood racks up thousands of miles each week travelling to watch games to identify signign targets. I refuse to believe that he hasn't seen at least a dozen strikers who are better football players than Darren Mackie in the last year or so. Darren Mackie is a dreadful player and if he gets a new contract, it makes a mockery of each and every supporter who hands of his or her hard earned (or not so hard earned) money to watch us play. If we want someone to annoy opposition defenders, give me half of Mackie's wages and I'll go round letting air out of their tyres.
  19. No but get JDV signed up, he's ace.
  20. Fucking yas min!
  21. "Has to be someone from Bayern Munich, half of their team was really good"
  22. Didn't hear any boos for JDV but he was good when he came on, he's got to start ahead of Young next week. Kerr was excellent, really showed up Severin. We need to persist with the Kerr McDonald midfield partnership that wasn't too effective at the start of the season, now that they're settled, it might work. Mackie's effort in the first half was utterly pathetic on the other hand, no new contract for him please.
  23. I am listening to Chinese Democracy. I thought I'd never utter those words in my lifetime. What's even more surprising is that it's not too bad either, Street of Dreams is fantastic.
  24. What about all the defenders in the box that failed to get rid of it?
