  1. Maybe that c*nt Smith asked for Mikey Hart's advice

  3. We have no money compared to Celtic and Rangers, and we're spending a hell of a lot less than Hearts (that doesn't mean we've got less, just we're not going to fuck the club up the way they are). So on that score it kinda proves my point. We're above the teams we're generally better off than, and behind the two who have vastly more than we do. How can any manager be realistically expected to finish above the Old Firm over a 38 game season?
  4. Report on the BBC about Touzani and Mair says that Dempsey is set to sign a new deal. "Meanwhile, Aberdeen expect midfielder Gary Dempsey to agree the two-year deal he has been offered, " is all it says tho.
  5. Maybe he's taken us as far as a relatively poor club like Aberdeen can actually go, with the obivous exception of a cup run? Or do you genuinely think it is realistic to expect us to regularly challenge the Old Firm again? I agree with whoever it was asked what Jimmy has to do to win the fans over - seems like until we win the league again some of our fans will never be happy and even then they'll probably moan that we didn't do the treble or something.
  6. As I've said already, I can't see any real down side to signing Lee Mair. I can see why people would be unhappy if we were signing him INSTEAD of a much-needed winger, but as a squad player I think he'll do a good job for us.
  7. haven't seen this mentioned yet: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/tm_headline=booze%2Dup-shame-of-jambos-targets%26method=full%26objectid=18754835%26siteid=66633-name_page.html
  8. Don't really know what to make of this - doesn't really put me up or down to be honest
  9. Exactly. I'm enjoying the competitiveness of this season enough at the moment, no need to think about next season til we know how well this one has gone first.
  10. Brian Kerr at 'Well is out of contract in the summer. Get in there now Jimmy. I reckon him and Seve would be a cracking midfield pairing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/motherwell/6453453.stm
  11. Love it, our goal of the season and you're still not happy Are we back on AFC HAT?
  12. Just passing on what I read. Wasn't at the game and only saw a quick clip on the telly so can't really comment on the challenge, except to say it looked pretty reckless at first viewing.
  13. I could be wrong but I think the two game ban is solely for his first sending off and he has still to be dealt with for his reaction to that. I'm sure I read that on the BBC or in the paper.
  14. I think Jimmy might be more likely to go with something along these lines: -------------------Langfield--------------------- ---Hart Considine Anderson Foster--- --------------------Seve-------------------------- -----------------Clark Smith-------------------- --Mackie--------------------------------Lovell-- ---------------------Brewster---------------------
  15. Unfortunately I'm still not overly confident about Saturday. I don't mean to be pessimistic but the huns seem to be getting back to their jammy winning ways and with their favourite referee in charge it's going to be a big ask for us. The way we're defending does give us a chance tho, so fingers crossed
  16. Oh you were really lucky! I figured that if we won and I hadn't watched it then no real harm done, whereas if I had watched it and we didn't get the 3 points I'd just have been gutted, so I went to training instead.
  17. I only managed to catch the last 5 mins of the game and by the sounds of it I was quite lucky. What a strike from the boy tho and I thought he spoke reasonably well on Sportsound afterwards as well.
  18. I agree with this man. I don't think he is being targeted to replace Russell but just as some extra, reasonably cheap and experienced, cover with the potential to establish himself in the first team. Let's face it, almost anyone we could afford to sign in place of Russell, if he was to leave, wouldn't be as good as el capitan anyway.
  19. Wee toon red - have been since the old afc chat ( ) Don't get to see the Dons as often as i'd like due to playing football on a Saturday and living about 150 miles south west of glasgow - just think how far away pittodrie is! My first Dons game was in 1986/7ish at Ibrox in a 1-0 defeat. I like beer very much but have just successfully completed one dry weekend of a planned five.
