  1. His interview's after the game were absolutely horrendous. Obviously Chick wouldn't dare question anything he said but I was desperate for Stuart Lovell to tell him that McCulloch had to go.
  2. I think the really worrying thing is that attendances are still actually falling, despite having a more "successful" team in the last season and a half. Hearts were actually doing some decent offers for the fans a while back which must have helped, along with giving away free strips and scarves to kids in their immediate area. That can't have done any harm. Hibs have a reputation for good football which must bring in fans, whilst they also have a popular ex-player in charge. We haven't really got/done any of those things, except maybe Willie Miller's role, although if you offered a choice of the three situations, based purely on a football basis I'd rather be in ours each and every time.
  3. He might have built it but I'm pretty confident he won't have paid for it, which seems to be what you're asking him to do for us?
  4. Somehow I don't think he was referring to you. As said already, he was aiming it at the Aberdeenshire based fans who weren't there. I'm not suggesting he's right but there's no need for you (or me since I live just as far away, but without the need for a ferry) to get worked up about it.
  5. By both sides of the OF?? Why the hell would they give a damn? Let's not verge on the septic paranoia please.
  6. Brilliant. This is going to make the journey all worthwhile
  7. If Jackie was to go, it wouldn't really be too great a loss based on his form so far but I'll be disappointed with how things have turned out as I thought he was a cracking signing at the time. Might not do any harm to free up the wages tho.
  8. 1. Jagerdeen 2. Busy Bilbo Baggins 3. Glasgow Sheep - glasvegas 4. B. Biscuit Esq. 5. Monkey. 6. Drew Peacock 7. Reekie - huntin down the game on ESPN. But will give up cos it'll be like 5am where I am. 8.Zig - at home & packing to go to Barcelona. 9. Manc_don - Watching it somewhere in Glasgow... 10. Wee Toon Red - hoping on the real off chance that it might be shown somewhere in Amsterdam. Friggin work!!
  9. That couldn't have worked out worse! Going to have to do some serious planning to make it to Madrid as I need to be in Amsterdam on the 30th. Will be an interesting round trip!
  10. What a signing that would be if we could pull it off. Brellier's a crackin player.
  11. Maybe that c*nt Smith asked for Mikey Hart's advice
  12. 1. TheChimp 2. Nessie Nespa! 3. mg_don (I hate the Huns) 4. E-P-K 5. Mizer 6. wee toon red
  13. We have no money compared to Celtic and Rangers, and we're spending a hell of a lot less than Hearts (that doesn't mean we've got less, just we're not going to fuck the club up the way they are). So on that score it kinda proves my point. We're above the teams we're generally better off than, and behind the two who have vastly more than we do. How can any manager be realistically expected to finish above the Old Firm over a 38 game season?
  14. Report on the BBC about Touzani and Mair says that Dempsey is set to sign a new deal. "Meanwhile, Aberdeen expect midfielder Gary Dempsey to agree the two-year deal he has been offered, " is all it says tho.
  15. Maybe he's taken us as far as a relatively poor club like Aberdeen can actually go, with the obivous exception of a cup run? Or do you genuinely think it is realistic to expect us to regularly challenge the Old Firm again? I agree with whoever it was asked what Jimmy has to do to win the fans over - seems like until we win the league again some of our fans will never be happy and even then they'll probably moan that we didn't do the treble or something.
  16. As I've said already, I can't see any real down side to signing Lee Mair. I can see why people would be unhappy if we were signing him INSTEAD of a much-needed winger, but as a squad player I think he'll do a good job for us.
  17. haven't seen this mentioned yet: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/tm_headline=booze%2Dup-shame-of-jambos-targets%26method=full%26objectid=18754835%26siteid=66633-name_page.html
  18. Don't really know what to make of this - doesn't really put me up or down to be honest
  19. Exactly. I'm enjoying the competitiveness of this season enough at the moment, no need to think about next season til we know how well this one has gone first.
  20. Brian Kerr at 'Well is out of contract in the summer. Get in there now Jimmy. I reckon him and Seve would be a cracking midfield pairing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/motherwell/6453453.stm
  21. Love it, our goal of the season and you're still not happy Are we back on AFC HAT?
  22. Just passing on what I read. Wasn't at the game and only saw a quick clip on the telly so can't really comment on the challenge, except to say it looked pretty reckless at first viewing.
  23. I could be wrong but I think the two game ban is solely for his first sending off and he has still to be dealt with for his reaction to that. I'm sure I read that on the BBC or in the paper.
  24. I think Jimmy might be more likely to go with something along these lines: -------------------Langfield--------------------- ---Hart Considine Anderson Foster--- --------------------Seve-------------------------- -----------------Clark Smith-------------------- --Mackie--------------------------------Lovell-- ---------------------Brewster---------------------
