  1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52797428 Strachan not messing about.
  2. I don't disagree at all but if the cream of the crop end up going down south then so be it, it just makes room for other players to come through. I think at first we'd see exactly what you've suggested but over time, if the system works, players would be quite happy to spend a couple of years of guaranteed playing time whether it's with Hamilton or whoever and then move on, especially if they get paid the same at Hamilton as Celtic or whatever.
  3. You don't need to sell a revolution based on sporting fairness to me. Personally I'd go full NFL, with youth development delegated to around 6-8 regions of the country and draft allocations once players reach 21, salary caps, all transfer fees from players sold to foreign leagues centralised and reinvested in facilities etc.
  4. Other than massively increasing the number of teams relegated, how would anyone avoid the "meaningless game" scenario in an 18/20 team league? Surely there are meaningless games in England, Germany and Spain every year but I don't see much clamour there to go down to 10 or 12 teams.
  5. The reason, apparently, is the apparently "massive" ( ) new deal from Sky which was due to start in August 2020. The clubs shat themselves that Sky might withdraw if there was a delay to the start of the 20/21 season due to 19/20 having still to be finished.
  6. Number of cases stats are almost entirely meaningless unless testing is open to everyone. For all we know, 50m people in the UK could have it, making the number of deaths miniscule. Even the death stats themselves aren't hugely accurate.
  7. Surely Dominic Raab takes over until such time as the Tories elect a new leader? Edited: While Raab isn't actually deputy PM, as Foreign Secretary he's also First Secretary of State and therefore next in line.
  8. I see one club is calling for the season to be declared null and void but for prize money to be paid on current positions. I wonder who on earth that could be
  9. You watched 20 minutes and are contradicting someone who watched the whole game? Okaaaaaay.
  10. Poor result. A tough ask to play an hour with 10 men after 120 minutes in midweek mind you.
  11. Interesting to single out Ferguson's negatives. He played a key role in Kennedy goal and driving into the box to win the penalty at that stage of the game was excellent play. Campbell and Devlin were both shambolic for the third Killie goal yet you reckon Campbell "played really well", which he may well have done but deserves more stick for his attempt at a tackle than Ferguson does for anything he did. It's entirely possible he's being used incorrectly and should be played in a role that demands he make these kinds of runs into the box regularly but it's incredibly harsh to describe him as an imposter.
  12. He's been in the Northern Ireland senior squad once but didn't play as far as I know.
  13. Cosgrove just made a total arse of a one-on-one. We’re playing well so far.
  14. Looks like we can't hope it's Main that Motherwell are after, BBC say it's a striker based outside of Scotland.
  15. Confirmed that Gleeson is away. Motherwell trying to sign a striker - can we hope that it's Main?
  16. A non-EU migrant coming in and stealing an Englishman’s job on “Brexit Day”. Beautiful.
  17. Gilmour isn’t an advanced/attacking midfielder.
  18. Kennedy pre-contract confirmed.
  19. Anderson, shearer and Jess for me.
  20. BBC are reporting that we're close to some kind of deal for McGeouch and that we hope to have him fly to Dubai with the team tomorrow.
  21. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting any credit is due for yesterday, this season or most of last. Needs credit for signing cosgrove and helping him become the player he is though but there are some fans who would even begrudge him that.
  22. It’s not insane when you realise that, in some people’s eyes, we can’t possibly have a striker who’s scored 20 goals by Christmas without finding some fault as otherwise it might reflect well on the manager. sAcK mcInnezz Ot they might need to give the manager some credit
  23. So desperate to be negative about the Dons you’re taking the side of a ref who made a bad decision? Weird.
  24. https://streamja.com/bXZo Never a red, regardless of anything that’s happened in any other match ever.
  25. Never a red in a million years today so whatever he did or didn’t do against the huns is irrelevant.
