  1. From the moment UEFA announced this nonsense about 12 countries or whatever "sharing" the finals, Euro 2020 has been the most shambolic tournament in history. If we are ever to qualify for a finals again it would be typical Scotland to make it to this one, which will undoubtedly be the worst one ever.
  2. No Bryson in the squad. Main in alongside Cosgrove. Looks like a 4-4-2: Lewis Logan devlin McKenna Leigh McGinn vyner Ferguson hedges Main cosgrove
  3. Wouldn’t say that makes it a funny game, I’d suggest it shows how consistent we’ve been under McInnes.
  4. A lot of the potentially valid reasons for a change of manager get lost amongst the sea of pish that the McInnes haters are coming out with, the blaming him for injuries being an example.
  5. A very good post. Unfortunately the short-term nature of football, from the boardroom to the terraces, means it would be a brave club that took that route. And unfortunately we’re not a brave club.
  6. I mean that it’s ridiculous for a “supporter” to want, or at least be happy to see, their team getting beat under any circumstances and is something I’d have expected to read on a site full of lunatics such as AFC chat.
  7. It’s reaching Hat levels of ridiculousness when we’re getting folk who hope we struggle just so a manager gets sacked.
  8. Shankland was pap for us and anyone who claims we were wrong to punt him is wrong. It wasn’t even our getting rid of him that sorted his attitude out, it was when Morton ditched him that he finally realised he was wasting his career.
  9. No he won’t. Despite FIFA’s eligibility rules, the “home” nations have agreed not to cap players based on residency unless they were at school in the country for the five years, which was the agreement made in order to help the great Andy driver play for Scotland.
  10. We'll see what Clarke time in charge is going to bring with those games you mention. I actually think the players will turn up to play for him as he seems to be a "players' coach", they seem to like his methods etc. If they don't turn up we'll know he's done for.
  11. Pretty sure your criteria would still leave us with Stephen O'Donnell and that's definitely not a good thing.
  12. The only truth that any of those arseholes understand is that there are enough ignorant racists in their respective electorates who will happily go along with their lies to elect them.
  13. Other than McKenna and Logan, today's team can't be far off the one many people would've nominated as our strongest before the start of the season. Hopefully they'll start to play like that...
  14. We've played one up front in 99.9% of the games under McInnes. It's not like that's ever going to change regardless of the opposition so I don't know why anyone would be surprised
  15. Gilmour has the potential to be a great signing. Can't see it happening.
  16. If they're a better sponsor than the one we currently have...
  17. Taylor had a recurrence of his injury on Tuesday and is out for “several weeks”, as is McKenna.
  18. If Hayes is available we should absolutely be in for him. I’d also be having a word with James Morrison and Alan Hutton!
  19. I'm assuming their name being on this list means they're not getting a stand named after them. So, on that basis: Miller Cooper Scott Hewitt Donald Harper
  20. Doohan and Kelly are on loan from the Tims and Huns so that's probably got more to do with it. Fuck knows why Harvie is in there though.
  21. Good post. You've also got to laugh at the "McClueless" stuff. For all McInnes' failings, and whether he's gone stale here or not, describing him as clueless is a joke. We've had plenty clueless managers in the past and McInnes certainly isn't one. He might be limited, stubborn, too loyal to certain players etc but that's a long way from clueless.
  22. The McKenna situation notwithstanding, it's definitely been a good "close season" for signings so far. Another centre back, regardless of McKenna staying or going, would be great but that's probably wishful thinking.
  23. There is still another three weeks to get May off the books so plenty time for something to happen as he's not very likely to be heading to England anyway.
