  1. Looks like the much-maligned Stevie May could be on his way. St Mirren and St Johnstone both supposedly interested.
  2. Can understand him knocking us back for that. Surprised he got such a big move, though warburton might have a thing for signing ex players as he’s got Wallace and Kelly this summer too.
  3. If the Holiday Inn deal doesn't suit, I've always found Direct Parking to be good value and very close to the airport.
  4. The Daily Express says it's Killie who are in for O'Hara. Pity, I think he could be useful.
  5. That’s my point tho, if he establishes himself at Burnley then one of the big guns would have to pay £50m for him, so why should Celtic settle for a tenth of that from the same team? Fair enough you don’t rate him but he’s easily the best prospect in Scottish football at the moment and arsenal wouldn’t be in for him if they thought he was only as good as Tavernier or Taylor. Check how many tavernier goals were penalties btw.
  6. I disagree, for reasons I stated earlier. If Tierney was at Leicester or Burnley and doing well, his price tag would be ÂŁ50m or ÂŁ60m when the big guys come calling like the guy Wan-Bissaka that Man U are paying Palace ÂŁ50m for. It doesn't seem unrealistic to me that to buy a player from Celtic, with international and Champions League experience in addition to whatever talents he has, should cost a decent whack. And to suggest Tierney is just a decent SPFL full back is petty in the extreme.
  7. I would imagine it's an agreed fee between the clubs, which at least indicates he's going to be affordable. That was never going to be the case with Lowe. IMO that means there's a much better prospect of turning a good loan into something permanent in this case.
  8. Don't we have an option to take Leigh permanently? That was never a realistic scenario, never mind defined option, with Lowe.
  9. Young keeper Archie Mair has left us to sign for norwich.
  10. Some dude called John Gallagher has signed on loan from Atlanta utd
  11. Yes and yes. Tierney is already a very good player, who will only get better with the experience of training and playing at a higher standard than he currently does. If Palace are looking for £40m plus for a 20yo right back who has only played one season in the first team then £25m for Tierney isn’t unreasonable. Celtic don’t need to sell him and he doesn’t appear to be in a rush to leave so they can ask whatever they like for him.
  12. With the caveat of my not knowing what other strikers might be available, I’d be reasonably happy to have Wilson back. He’s a very different player to Main, Cosgrove and May, much more pacy and probably more likely to pull a rabbit out the hat than any of them. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Bruce Anderson this year if/when we do sign another striker.
  13. GMS having a New York medical today according to sky.
  14. 17 aways and 16 homes. What was the ratio last season?
  15. 19yo signs on a pittance to plug a gap in the youth team and this is the response. Quality.
  16. Fraser proved when he came on that he should've started the game and should be the first or second name on the team sheet every time. Disagree about McGinn though, he gives the ball away too much for a game of that importance.
  17. Agreed. The personification of UK politics began a long time ago but it's gathered pace recently as we move more and more to assuming our position as the 51st state.
  18. McNulty scored 7 goals in his first 10 Hibs game and 1 in his next 8. He could be a useful addition but I wouldn't be bending over backwards to get him based on those numbers.
  19. I think you misjudge Lowe's value. Derby could easily get a couple of mil for him from another team down south due to his age and time left on his contract. I don't think it's realistic to expect someone to buy Cosgrove from us - especially since you consider him and EFL1 level striker - at a price which would allow us to buy Lowe, who you think has the potential to be a ÂŁ4m or ÂŁ5m player. I don't follow your logic at all. In answer to your hypothetical question, no I wouldn't sell Cosgrove to fund Lowe.
  20. A 22yo boy who scored 21 goals in a season, despite not scoring his first until October, and people would seriously be happy for him to leave?
  21. Finish above us on goal difference? Aye, a saviour right enough. Some folk in our support would’ve been gutted if we’d finished third this season so at least today keeps them happy.
  22. Question: is finishing 4th more acceptable if it gets us into Europe than it would be if it doesnt?
  23. The only real relevance - rather than the club simply paying them lip service- that an organisation like DST could have would be if they could raise enough funds to actually buy their way in. Would need Milne and co to agree and give DST a target to reach but at least that would be a worthwhile aim and give people who want to put more money to the club a way of doing so.
  24. I know it's not your idea so don't think I'm aiming this at you, but that's the most stupid thing I've ever heard. Even allowing for the fact that teams don't just let other teams win, if we beat the Tims tomorrow and then the Huns beat them next week then it's down to the last day. I'm sure they'll risk that just to try win the league at Ibrox
  25. Good news. Solid player who can do a job more often than not. Unlikely to be anyone’s first choice, even at centre half, but can’t be faulted for effort and commitment to the club so a more than decent squad player.
