  1. It's Rosenborg's left back apparently.
  2. Good post. You've also got to laugh at the "McClueless" stuff. For all McInnes' failings, and whether he's gone stale here or not, describing him as clueless is a joke. We've had plenty clueless managers in the past and McInnes certainly isn't one. He might be limited, stubborn, too loyal to certain players etc but that's a long way from clueless.
  3. The McKenna situation notwithstanding, it's definitely been a good "close season" for signings so far. Another centre back, regardless of McKenna staying or going, would be great but that's probably wishful thinking.
  4. There is still another three weeks to get May off the books so plenty time for something to happen as he's not very likely to be heading to England anyway.
  5. Could be more to it, but on the face of things it looks like Juve have shafted Spurs massively by changing their minds on selling Dybala to them at the last minute.
  6. Scott Vernon v Falkirk in the 2013/14 league cup. We won 5-0.
  7. It would be odd if the club weren't keeping McKenna informed but certainly not impossible. Everyone - club, player and presumably agent - were content during the last two transfer windows so I can't really see why the club would start dicking him around now.
  8. Sign them both!
  9. McKenna can shove his request up his arse. He was happy to sign a long-term contract so unless we get a bid that meets our valuation, and a suitable replacement in, he can keep his trap shut.
  10. Wright and Wilson in for McGinn and hedges isn’t exactly worthy of the tombola chat, it’s two wide men replacing two others.

  12. Confirmed: Lewis Logan Taylor McKenna Considine McGinn Ferguson Ojo Gallagher Hedges Cosgrove
  13. What was up with Taylor? Just the usual complaining for the sake of it and needing someone to criticise even when we won a game?
  14. I think Ferguson, Bryson, Morrison and Ojo, with Campbell in the mix as well, gives us plenty options for injury cover and rotation: Bryson and Morrison might not both be able to play every game and Ferguson will need a rest at some point.
  15. Sky Sports apparently saying we’re in for James Morrison on a free. Certainly plenty experience there so from that perspective he’d definitely be good for Ferguson and Campbell. Both Edinburgh teams sniffing about too.
  16. We're apparently competing with Hibs for the guy Ojo who's currently with Scunthorpe. Would imagine McGeouch definitely isn't happening if we're offering cash here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48954839
  17. Either the loan will do Ross good or prove that he isn’t up to it with us. He is that young any more so needs regular football somewhere.
  18. Looks like the much-maligned Stevie May could be on his way. St Mirren and St Johnstone both supposedly interested.
  19. Can understand him knocking us back for that. Surprised he got such a big move, though warburton might have a thing for signing ex players as he’s got Wallace and Kelly this summer too.
  20. If the Holiday Inn deal doesn't suit, I've always found Direct Parking to be good value and very close to the airport.
  21. The Daily Express says it's Killie who are in for O'Hara. Pity, I think he could be useful.
  22. That’s my point tho, if he establishes himself at Burnley then one of the big guns would have to pay £50m for him, so why should Celtic settle for a tenth of that from the same team? Fair enough you don’t rate him but he’s easily the best prospect in Scottish football at the moment and arsenal wouldn’t be in for him if they thought he was only as good as Tavernier or Taylor. Check how many tavernier goals were penalties btw.
  23. I disagree, for reasons I stated earlier. If Tierney was at Leicester or Burnley and doing well, his price tag would be £50m or £60m when the big guys come calling like the guy Wan-Bissaka that Man U are paying Palace £50m for. It doesn't seem unrealistic to me that to buy a player from Celtic, with international and Champions League experience in addition to whatever talents he has, should cost a decent whack. And to suggest Tierney is just a decent SPFL full back is petty in the extreme.
  24. I would imagine it's an agreed fee between the clubs, which at least indicates he's going to be affordable. That was never going to be the case with Lowe. IMO that means there's a much better prospect of turning a good loan into something permanent in this case.
  25. Don't we have an option to take Leigh permanently? That was never a realistic scenario, never mind defined option, with Lowe.
