Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting any credit is due for yesterday, this season or most of last. Needs credit for signing cosgrove and helping him become the player he is though but there are some fans who would even begrudge him that.
It’s not insane when you realise that, in some people’s eyes, we can’t possibly have a striker who’s scored 20 goals by Christmas without finding some fault as otherwise it might reflect well on the manager. sAcK mcInnezz
Ot they might need to give the manager some credit
Hugh Jars by any chance? Contributed to that thread a couple of times yesterday, went on our work night out last night and it appears absolute carnage took place on the thread?
The Scottish Government hasn't actually asked for permission to hold Indyref 2 in 2020, they've asked for the powers to decide when to hold a referendum be transferred to the Scottish Parliament. A small, but important, distinction.
Don’t forget the 16&17 year olds who will potentially be able to vote in a referendum, and the eu nationals. The majority of both groups are likely to be Yes voters.
I would imagine the new contract will be the signal for him going on loan, especially if Bryson and Ojo are fit for the second half of the season.
The boy's got loads of promise but would benefit from going elsewhere and learning from playing every week, ideally in a successful team.
From the moment UEFA announced this nonsense about 12 countries or whatever "sharing" the finals, Euro 2020 has been the most shambolic tournament in history.
If we are ever to qualify for a finals again it would be typical Scotland to make it to this one, which will undoubtedly be the worst one ever.
A lot of the potentially valid reasons for a change of manager get lost amongst the sea of pish that the McInnes haters are coming out with, the blaming him for injuries being an example.
A very good post. Unfortunately the short-term nature of football, from the boardroom to the terraces, means it would be a brave club that took that route. And unfortunately we’re not a brave club.
I mean that it’s ridiculous for a “supporter” to want, or at least be happy to see, their team getting beat under any circumstances and is something I’d have expected to read on a site full of lunatics such as AFC chat.
Shankland was pap for us and anyone who claims we were wrong to punt him is wrong. It wasn’t even our getting rid of him that sorted his attitude out, it was when Morton ditched him that he finally realised he was wasting his career.
No he won’t. Despite FIFA’s eligibility rules, the “home” nations have agreed not to cap players based on residency unless they were at school in the country for the five years, which was the agreement made in order to help the great Andy driver play for Scotland.
We'll see what Clarke time in charge is going to bring with those games you mention. I actually think the players will turn up to play for him as he seems to be a "players' coach", they seem to like his methods etc. If they don't turn up we'll know he's done for.
The only truth that any of those arseholes understand is that there are enough ignorant racists in their respective electorates who will happily go along with their lies to elect them.
