  1. This ^^^^^^ .............the Dundee game was massive last season along with the Celtic one in Glasgow and we didn't have the ambition or belief in either of them Interesting that most folk I know reckon Celtic will win the league this time with even more points than they did last season!!
  2. Oot Birthday lunch at french bistro Antigone (Juliette Binoche, Edinburgh International Festival ) Pickerings gin at Summerhall Dons win - I would like Goodwillie to score I would drop Taylor cause he usually has a shocker against Dundee (happy to be proved wrong and he scores the winner and avoids any fuck-ups ) I do love being in Edinburgh when the festival is on
  3. That is not gonna happen - after the absolute howler he had against Hamilton last season he still played the next game - he only didn't play when he got injured
  4. I agree with Tyrant If it is his family situation and that's obviously just speculation then he should be moving them up here Remember when Jackie Mac got to travel up from his family home near me - he was utter gash for the dons - I just wouldn't allow all the travelling - it unsettles the players and they should be focussed at all times on the team I hope he stays and sorts it out as I wasn't overly impressed with his performanace last night
  5. Yes Yes Yes!!!!

The legend of Barney Thomson was pretty funny - I do like Robert Carlyle
  7. He does that pretty much every game..............
  8. I will go along with that - would much rather progress in the cups and beat tims and jambos in the league

I saw Ewen McGregor at the Edinburgh Film Festival - went to see his film about Jesus - it was absolute gash - he looked cute tho much smaller than I imagined He spent ages on the red carpet getting photos taking - have you noticed that no-one talks to celebrities anymore - all folk want is to look at them through their phone screen
  10. I bloody loved your book Al - first time in ages i've been awake till the wee small hours with a book i can't put down I feel a bit lost this morning tho...........................
  11. Oh Val Doonican died too, what a co-incidence I remember his jumpers!!
  12. Ooh Al thank you very much - I liked the sound of it so it's downloaded and I'll start reading it tomorrow cheers
  13. I don't - he wasn't the same player as the season before!
  14. I love when you post exactly what I was thinking
  15. The lovely Mizer has a bird and is in love
  16. I still buy books - read the occasional one on my daughter's kindle but there's something about a bookshop and the smell & feel of a paperback that I can't let go
  17. Well yes of course = just the odd peak
  18. You made the right choice - awesome streaker was the best thing about the game - was running about bollock naked for ages
  19. I love it - no worrying about the dons, tennis, bbqs, sun, film festival, fringe, beach, 2 weeks holiday fom work

Pitch perfect 2 was decent Force Majeure was rubbish Going to catch Far from the Madding Crowd this week or next Saw a trailer for Magic Mike 2 - the first one was one of the worst films I have ever seen - but I may just be tempted to head along if I can have a drink at the same time hehe
  21. Ha I do want the dons to win on Saturday
  22. 80 - MBT 78 - Tyrant 77 - rocket_scientist 76 - hebrew 75 - Dandy 74 - BigAl Fixed that for you
  23. Reynolds dipped in form when Anderson got injured and he found himself playing alongside Taylor
  24. Totally agree - I reckon he is popular as folk think his wife is hot but he does nothing for me - looks or play wise!! Underwhelming with the others is spot on too - I thought Daniels never got much of a chance when he arrived on loan so it will be interesting to see if any more defenders come in over the summer - squad definately needs bolstered there imo
  25. I always struggle with Man Booker Prize winners and actually avoid them now - something about them being too descriptive without getting to the point puts me off tho I did read The Luminaries recently which I enjoyed I'm reading Fourth of July Creek but swithering about ditching it - not got into it at all and the last chapter described a teenager arousing a dog which made me feel ever so slightly queasy - yuck
