I went with my middle daughter and she said it was the weirdest film she had ever seen - as mentioned previously I absolutely loved it - I must have a very wicked sense of humour
  2. You think our lack of a goalkeeper is just a distraction!! Quinn going will only mean Taylor playing more games which is quite frankly frightening Fucks sake I know it's only the middle of January but nothing about this past week has filled me with any confidence for the 2nd half of the season
  3. Surely the way McInnes responds to the now goalkeeping crisis signals our intent for the rest of the season - if we are serious about challenging Celtic as far as we can then we have to be putting in a bid to sign a goalie permanently and not some dodgy loan deal for a guy warming a bench If Rogers is not ready to step up and the jury seems to be out on that at the moment - I have no idea cause have never seen him play - then stop fannying about and make a real move to get a goalie in before the weekend Liverpool have been quite unsporting no matter what Tyrant their no 1 fan says but it is the way we deal with it that is gonna ensure where we finish in the league - if we try to skimp on a goalie we've had it and the fans' patience is gonna wear thin
  4. In Hairdresser then same as Jute Away End Pub in town I think it will be close - Rooney

I saw The Danish Girl today - very moving film and beautifully shot - Eddie Redmayne puts in a superb performance
  6. I think we should start this thread again cause Rocket has just ruined what could have been a perfectly decent discussion I may even have posted some comments of my own - nothing to do with Calderwood obviously cause this thread is fuck all to do with him!! I do have a few opinions on Rocket but seeing as how I'm a lady I will keep them to myself
  7. I dont remember defending Calderwood vehemently tbh Of course I have my own opinions but given that I chat regularly with Jute & BB and know they think the same as me it is easy to agree with them
  8. Hear hear Jute, I love that you & BB spend time putting down your thoughts on paper and I can just read & agree with you
  9. Completely agree with all of the above especially re our cuptie!!

Carol for me tonight - two brilliant actresses in Cate Blanchett and Roony Mara but I really didn't like it - so painfully slow and I didn't get any vibes about their relationship
  12. Ooh I did have red wedgie sandals
  13. I think it sounds absolutely pish but then I cannot be arsed with football in July and don't see the point of a winter break
  14. I mentioned this in the match thread Adam Rooney derserves so much better and the Goodwillie one is frankly embarassing and repugnant. I find it extremley offensive and the player himself must be mortified. Problem is if you say anything to the morons singing it they just become aggressive - I don't want to be a party pooper or a boring old fart but I do want to enjoy my footie
  15. I really enjoyed the day out - we won thanks to my lucky hat First half was excellent, agree with remarks re McGinn, Rooney & McLean Some total zoomers in the crowd tho - mostly next to us - pathetic songs which really does us as dons fans no favours when we're live on telly!! Special mention to Chimp and OxfordDon for a great time at the german market when we got back to Edinburgh - canny beat mulled wine & chips with curry sauce reminiscing about the globes and discussing online porn

The dialect takes a bit of getting used to but yeh it's worth a watch - I thought it was quite funny but grim too

Spectre was ok I saw Tangerine last night - a transgender revenge comedy - very good Next outing will probably be Carol
  18. These 2 remarks sum it up for me along with the inability of McInnes to make a decent sub at the right time in the game. Every one of us who was there yesterday knew Hamilton were gonna equalise and also that we didn't have it in us to produce a winner. I don't see McInnes turning it round - we have good players and in the league that we are in with tims playing the way they are we should be looking like a side that can challenge not one that might scrape top 6. Hamilton got their point cause they worked hard for 90 mins and pushed us. What the fuck were our players doing for 84 mins after we scored!! At least I got to go into Glasgow and do some Christmas shopping after but that must have been a long journey back up north!!
  19. I honestly cannot believe that two of you have come out and told someone off for having a go at him when he has pretty much insulted everyone on the forum at some point

I've never seen Daniel Craig as Bond much to the horror of my girlfriends I saw Suffragette which was quite good Has anyone seen The Lobster? I've heard mixed reviews about it but think I may try to catch it
  21. Ooh I'm in Pub South Stand Shopping, booze, pics maybe with daughters Have no fucking idea but there better be goals for us - however after reading Jack's article I'm looking forward to seeing the best, most hard working, committed, brotherly, always there for each other, nothing is gonna stop us team that has ever graced the pitch at Pittodrie - minus Taylor cause I just cannot be bothered paying money to watch him be an arse at the back
  22. There are lies, dammed lies & stastistics!! I have to say I'm a bit bemused that our recent appalling slump has happened at all if the training is so fantastic and the players are closer than a band of brothers in the 2nd world war. Certainly not what everyone is seeing on the pitch or in the results. Glad that Jack has cleared that up tho
  23. I read 2 brilliant articles online today about the poppy debate Earlier this year I went to Hamburg with my daughters to visit my uncle's war grave - he died 3 weeks before the end of the second world war age 22. So I sometimes wear a poppy to remember him and my great uncle who was killed in France a couple of months before the first world war I agree with what Manc said but this year I'm not getting one - I was actually thinking there should be red & white ones - to show remembrance for the 2 world wars but also that it should be a symbol of peace
