It wasn't all about the fucking goalie. Our defence was pretty pish too remember especially when McInnes decided to switch it about every week!!
-
Do you think he has been on the bevvy
-
Player of the year and Goal of the season.
Goldie03 replied to onlyjim's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
It certainly is.......... It makes me so angry that he gets so much abuse and folk on here actually think Taylor is a decent player - I know who I would much rather have in my team -
Big week coming up - by the time we play at Tynecastle we will know if we go into split still in with a slight chance of chasing the title I fear we have blown it but got to aim to finish the best we can - traditionally we fade away with the post split fixtures, usually cause there is nothing to play for or we fancy chucking 2nd place with the last kick of the season I will be watching Hamilton game on tv then heading to Hearts game - dunno how many games of the last 5 matches I will get to and I suppose like everyone else it will depend if they are meaningful in terms of points and position So anyway Derek please get your team selection bang on against Hamilton, none of the Motherwell nonsense at the back and mucking Shinnie about

I feel like this too and I wish I didn't - want to be able to support the Scotland team but absolutely canny stand the gruesome twosome and the dire politics that go with every squad selection Saw a headline with Strachan commenting that although the youngsters did well he would still be relying on the older players for the World Cup qualifying - seriously wtf!!!
-
You're joking - you reckon we can then go to Tynecastle and win Celtic unfortunately showed yesterday that they can grind out results when they need them We were 1 nil up at half time and McInnes decides to try and shut up shop - what is the actual point of that We are way better as an attacking team than one who tries to defend a lead - our central defence is utterly woeful

I did actually realise we had more possession I don't need the stats quoted. Bottom line is we didn't win the game and I didn't think it was a particularly inspiring performance. We were at home against a team not playing that well and we had a chance to narrow the gap between us and the league leaders. You obviously enjoyed the game more than I did and took more positives from it.
-
Maybe you were just in a different part of the stadium to me for the 2nd half as I certainly didn't leave the game with any sense of the dominance that you have referred to. It wasn't a premiership winning performance in my opinion and St Johnstone were there for the taking.

We should have got the 3 points - this playing out the game when we are winning 1 nil with 25 mins to go is madness Taylor is absolute gash - I'm seriously struggling to find the motivation to pay money to watch him represent the dons Our lack of ambition in the transfer window in January was always gonna cost us - even more so now that Rooney is out for a few weeks - I never thought I would say this but I would rather have had Goodwillie able to play than Church It all comes down to McInnes now tho - we still have a decent team (Taylor aside) so it is up to him to prove he has the management skills to change our formation and tactics to get the best out the team - enough of shutting up shop when we go ahead - our defence is really not good enough - the 2nd half reminded me of Calderwood's time!!!!! I would do with McGinn what BB has suggested - defo drop Taylor when Logan returns and play Reynolds & Considine at the back - maybe push McLean further forward too tho that means Jack & Flood in midfield and I thought Jack had a decent game at the back (apart from penalty but I'm blaming Taylor for that one)
-
This was very good I dunno what my next film will be now - there's one about Icelandic sheep that sounds quite promising
-
Oh I saw Trumbo last week - excellent story I'm going to The Big Short this week Think I'm gonna pass on The Revenant now
-
This!!! Not taking anything away from the inept performance from Collum or the woeful display from Tayor but it's all about us making the play, getting stuck in, battling away and there was nothing tonight. so disappointing. I can't actually write anymore - what else do the players need to inspire them other than the entire nation of football fans apart from the tims and a few diehard huns wanting us to push the league leaders all the way What did McInnes say to them at halftime - I'm not impressed with his tactics, or subs at all
-
That was a ridiculous decision!!
-
Both Fateless and Spotlight were excellent
-
He could be - I spoke to my journalist mate on Friday night and he said Hearts wanted him too so between them and us
-
I'm swithering about The Revenant now as I've heard a lot of mixed reviews tho Leonardo is always worth a look Saw Room last night - very good Going to Fateless on Wednesday for Holocaust Memorial Day and either The Big Short or Spotlight at the weekend
-
I was out tonight so just finished watching the game now Another good 3 points and we can now relax over the weekend - it will be interesting to see if we have anyone new in for our next game Last ten mins a bit frustrating again and how can McInnes watch Goodwillie play like that and not replace him earlier - what is the point of him even being on the pitch I love Shinnie being captain
-
I went with my middle daughter and she said it was the weirdest film she had ever seen - as mentioned previously I absolutely loved it - I must have a very wicked sense of humour
-
You think our lack of a goalkeeper is just a distraction!! Quinn going will only mean Taylor playing more games which is quite frankly frightening Fucks sake I know it's only the middle of January but nothing about this past week has filled me with any confidence for the 2nd half of the season
-
Surely the way McInnes responds to the now goalkeeping crisis signals our intent for the rest of the season - if we are serious about challenging Celtic as far as we can then we have to be putting in a bid to sign a goalie permanently and not some dodgy loan deal for a guy warming a bench If Rogers is not ready to step up and the jury seems to be out on that at the moment - I have no idea cause have never seen him play - then stop fannying about and make a real move to get a goalie in before the weekend Liverpool have been quite unsporting no matter what Tyrant their no 1 fan says but it is the way we deal with it that is gonna ensure where we finish in the league - if we try to skimp on a goalie we've had it and the fans' patience is gonna wear thin

In Hairdresser then same as Jute Away End Pub in town I think it will be close - Rooney
-
Ha
-
I saw The Danish Girl today - very moving film and beautifully shot - Eddie Redmayne puts in a superb performance

I think we should start this thread again cause Rocket has just ruined what could have been a perfectly decent discussion I may even have posted some comments of my own - nothing to do with Calderwood obviously cause this thread is fuck all to do with him!! I do have a few opinions on Rocket but seeing as how I'm a lady I will keep them to myself
