  1. Funny I was gonna mention Fergie as the last one then I thought oh fuck
  2. i agree with BB in that it is disappointing that McInnes is(possibly) leaving when he hasn't achieved all that much (in terms of winning trophies) and this is the first time we have lost our biggest players in the transfer window so next season is a much bigger challenge. However if he goes we can rebuild - no point in getting all hot & bothered about it - makes a change us losing a manager cause we've been decent rather than pish We were always gonna have a completely different team next season - brilliant challenge for a new guy
  3. Me neither, whilst I enjoyed him being at the club on a short term loan I don't see the point of a season long deal when we have to disrupt our line up each time we play Celtic. He either has ambitions to play regular first team football every week or he is content to sit on his arse keeping their bench warm!
  4. If Celtic have CL aspirations (ha) then they shouldn't be looking at SPL players Hayes is a fantastic player for us and under contract so if he is gonna leave we better get a decent and fair price It's gonna be a long summer - we have been lucky last few seasons with getting players in rather than a exodus but I thought Shinnie sounded positive in his interview after the final so lets wait and see what happens
  5. I woke up early this morning with the whole game playing in my head which just feels like torture at the moment! Magic play from our team, awesome display and support from the fans I think the sub of McGinn ended up giving Celtic a boost and didn't work in our favour at all - I just wish McInnes could have been brave enough to have a go in the last 10 mins - that's what cup finals are for!! I can't really put into words how I feel, don't want to criticise as it was a fantastic effort and we really have had a great season, just a pity there's no trophy to show for it
  6. Al canny believe you won't be with us. I'm so nervous I chucked up my wine last night Let's do this dons, no fannying about, stay strong and make a game of it

I saw Heal the Living last night, beautiful french film about organ donation, well worth seeing I was a bit meh about T2 tbh
  8. It's hardly the same thing tho. I'm pretty sure if our captain had announced he was signing for Dundee Utd we would all have wished him & his career well. Talking to a Celtic fan tonight and he agrees the timing is a disgrace and I believe as supporters we are allowed to feel concerned re our team's prep for one of the biggest games we have played in recent seasons
  9. McInnes has a massive decision to make re Jack and the cup final - absolutely cannot be in the right frame of mind and we need a totally united support at Hampden, canny be booing one of our players when we need to be focusing on the team and 100% encouraging them. So fuck him and don't have anywhere near the cup final I hope he has left our club in the next couple of days
  10. Ten minutes of my life I'm not getting back after reading this thread!! Let's just enjoy our first scottish cup final for 17 years. I'll be there and I'll be singing, hopefully others will too
  11. Fabulous result well done our team tho we did make it hard for ourselves Fantastic achievement and loved the players at the end of the game especially Shinnie and Lewis and lovely to see McInnes very animated - he is usually quite composed I fucking love being a dons fan - Shinnie is an immense captain Shout out to Rooney for a tremendous shift and his 20th goal - no-one better say that Stockley should be starting ahead of him - absolute bull And the very lucky french have a rather handsome president so good day all round
  12. I'm in - all my jambo mates want us to win, all my hibee mates are quite confident Let's do this as I really don't want another scottish cup semi disappointed horrible feeling after the game In with Jute on the train - no prosecco boo

Viceroy's House was good tho I've since read that it was not quite historically accurate - Gillian Anderson was great as Mountbatton's wife. I also saw Elle which was interesting.
  18. ooh I'm in for this one - first trip to Pittodrie this season Jambos at work worried but I think it will be a close match In Pittodrie Bar with Jute South Stand Dinner & cocktails Goals from Rooney and Mclean

has anyone on here seen Moonlight?? I was so disappointed - far too slow and just could not get into it at all
  20. Why should it make a difference??? The semis have been at that time for the last few years so it was unrealistic to expect anything else It's a semi final ffs why would the time put you off going!! - I have to get to Pittodrie next week from Edinburgh in time for a 12:15 kick off and I can manage that You either want to be involved or you don't - I just don't understand why you all get so humpty about it
  21. It's a game that we should be winning but a combination of the pitch & enforced reshuffle of the team with injuries is going to make for an interesting game Thistle will be confident with their recent form and dons need to prove that Hamilton was a temporary blip A draw wouldn't surprise me...........

I'm finally going to see Moonlight this week Yesterday I saw Twentieth Century Women which was rather quirky and pretty good Also a bril wee Italian film 7 Minuti - based on a true story about female workers in a textile factory - shades of 12 Angry Men and resonates with the whole Brexit immigration debate - well worth a watch

Hacksaw Ridge is very good and Andrew Garfield excellent. Lots of political chat at the Baftas last night, not convinced that Emma Stone should have got best actress as I thought Natalie Portman was immense in Jackie and I really liked Amy Adams in Arrival. Fences and Loving next on my list....
