These all sound fascinating!
I've got around half a dozen books from Christmas waiting to be read including one about suffragettes and one about trees......
Just finished The Comet Seekers by Helen Sedgwick - it was very good and now reading How to Stop Time by Matt Haig - both actually involve history & romance so dunno why I read them back to back
Em I dunno if I liked it or not tbh. Bit like a documentary with not much of a story ( which I kind of think was the point) wee girl was excellent and story is actually v sad so I can see why it's been hyped up but maybe not my fav
Molly's Game is excellent
I'm going to The Florida Project tomorrow then The Death of Stalin and maybe Film Stars don't Die in Liverpool next week
Lat week I saw Call Me By Your Name - very much hyped and rave reviews but I didn't really see what the fuss was all about - wasn't overly taken with one of the main characters - would maybe not have gone if I had seen a trailer
Cheers for the birthday messages, canny believe it's my big 50 on Wednesday
Great result at ER - thought we battled really well and fab to see how pumped up the team & McInnes were at the end of the game. I like us showing a bit of character!!
Go me getting the score and scorer correct
Thoroughly enjoyable performance in the sun - love our red strip - might have to just come to Pittodrie from now on
Great to see Rooney scoring and the team playing so much better than my trips to Murrayfield and Motherwell.
Bring on the Hibees.........
In or Oot - In
Furryboots - South Stand - ticket was only 14 quid with that nice Standfree membership
Pre - Cup for brunch
Post - Dinner & cocktails for 18th birthday celebration
Prediction - Oooft please let me see my first dons goal of this season - Rooney hat-trick
I actually feel better about this now that I did walking back to the car on Thursday night.
A settled team for the next few games is a necessity
We may to put up with a few frustrating performances until we get a balance that works - most of us wouldn't have started with the players that McInnes put out but also we need to support the team when the heads go down - we didn't add anything as fans to the atmosphere on Thursday by haranguing them pretty much from kickoff
Yes it was frustrating as fuck to watch and it is absolutely dire to be out of the cup but a win today and we're tucked in just 2 points off 1st place
COYR
I saw a lovely wee film tonight - My Life as a Courgette
Also 4 fab ones last week at Edinburgh's fantastic international film festival - for you guys who like your 90s music check out a romcom called Modern Life is Rubbish when it's on general release
Fuck I got carried away talking about the top and forgot my self imposed rule never to respond to anything that Kingsford or Rocket say - I was actually wondering the other day if they were one and the same person cause they are both so fucking annoying
Pink is an atrocious colour for footballers to wear - hideous - I saw Scotland ladies wear that horrendous strip and get beat 5 nil and I firmly the yucky pink played a part in that defeat
I will never buy a blue Aberdeen top unless it's navy. Not looking forward to our trip to Tynecastle now as no doubt we will wear it there and also I really don't give a fuck what strip we wore before the 2nd world war started.
I wish for once we could have a thread without condescending posts from Kingsford reminding us all how uneducated we are about all things Aberdeen
Given some of the pish that we have had to support in a red jersey I'm pretty pleased that Christie will be with us next season.
Yes in an ideal world he wouldn't be on loan and I don't think anyone disagrees with that but most recognise the financial constraints we work with nowadays.
Patrick Roberts was on loan too remember!
