I went to The Prime Cuts last night. Having always fancied trying it I heard it was closing down ("hibernating because of the oil downturn") on Friday so decided to go and check it out. They were doing a deal where you'd get 10% off so I booked a table and went. The first thing I noticed when I turned up was that the prices on their menu were almost 20% higher than the prices on their website. Online menu linky. I'd be really keen to know when they bumped the prices up because the cynic in me would suggest that it happened around the time they started doing a 10% "discount". Anyway. I ordered the T-bone done medium and a pepper and whiskey sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. No complaints on that front at all. Service was fine but then came the bill fuck up. The mannie took the bill over and said "The 10% has been taken off already". He was half right.. the sauces had been discounted by 10% saving us a total of about 60p. The steaks were charged at full price (£7 more each than the online price). So I said to the guy that the prices were already a lot higher than online (which he got a little defensive about) and that I expected 10% off the whole bill. He took the bill away, corrected it and took it back but I don't believe for a second that that was an honest mistake. That was them blatantly trying their luck and seeing if they'd get away with it. So for that reason I can't go back when it re-opens which is a shame because I've never had a better steak in Aberdeen.

This is normally what I'd think but I get the feeling that Shay has strong morals and they wouldn't allow him to sign for the Tims. Although it is a good 3 hours closer to his family.

I'd be lying if I said my hopes weren't up. I find myself thinking about it all the time. But we (like the players and staff) just have to stay calm and focus on the next game. Pay no heed to Celtic or what they're doing. Fact is as it stands it's out of our own hands. Which I'm oddly pleased about because it must reduce the pressure a wee bit. I honestly don't think we'll bottle it. If any of our players to then they shouldn't play professionally again. If you're not here to compete for league titles then you shouldn't be here at all. I think the Celtic are far more likely to shit themselves.

Firstly, I read the whole article despite knowing from experience how much utter bollocks she talks just to get attention. She's a professional troll. Not unlike Kanye West. The importance of these 3 points cannot be overstated. The manner in which they were won is more important still. We didn't play particularly well by all accounts and we went behind to a belter but we ground out a huge win. What I really liked was our players' reaction to our equaliser. Grab the ball and go straight up the park and get started again. That paid off with another goal soon after. Ended up having to listen to the radio commentary like many others and it was absolutely horse shit. It was next to impossible to tell what the fuck was going on and as each of the game's 3 goals went in we had no idea what team had scored until a few seconds later when they mentioned the scorer or scoreline again. And if it wasn't that the co-commentator was going on about scouts watching good players and seemed to be desperately trying to sell one of Partick's players. Bizarre. I hope I don't have to rely on the radio again any time soon. 3 points at home to Killie is a must. I think the players are now starting to believe.

I do have a wee bit of sympathy. The list of banned substances is mental. But she has to (and has stated she will) take responsibility. I hope they don't treat her too harshly.

Oh aye. There's no question at all that Andy is the sole reason "Great Britain" has achieved what it has in the Davis Cup. Having A world class doubles partner in his brother Jamie helps. Without those two we'd be nowhere.

I was surprised that he played the tie against Japan at all and was even more surprised when he played in the doubles. Keeps proving time and time again that representing GB means a lot to him.

Nae according to Mr. Ian Elmslie. (A former ref who I work with) who states that if the ref deems an offense to have taken place (in this case simulation) play should be stopped and a free kick awarded the other way. I'm nae a walking rule book myself so I'm nae sure. I agree with you about the penalty claim. I'm not convinced it's a penalty necessarily (although I've only seen it once) but it sure as hell isn't a dive.
