  1. Anyone been watching Making a Murderer on Netflix?
  2. But Shankland is shite at this level.

Unlike Rocket I thoroughly enjoyed Hateful Eight. You might want to only read below if you've already seen it or don't plan to watch it. The dialogue, the actors and a special mention has to go to the sound track which all made it really good in my opinion. I'm not sure I agree with there being a lack of plot. There was a plot. And a good one at that. Although I do agree with Rocket regarding the violence. The gore is at times needlessly over the top and, to be honest, I don't really get it. But Unlike Rocket I don't find that it detracts from his movies. I was a wee bit disappointed that it petered out in the way it did. I was kinda hoping for a finale in Red Rock. Will definitely watch again. Tim Roth was excellent. His performance reminded me of Waltz's performance in Django. Incidentally I enjoyed Django a lot more at the second time of viewing.
  4. It does if your backup option is Bogdan.
  5. Mignolet is injured though is he not? If injuries occur after you've agreed to let certain loan players stay on loan then that's just unfortunate.
  6. Whilst it's obviously disappointing to lose the first competent keeper we've had in a generation I can't help but see it from a grown up point of view. We loaned Rodgers to Falkirk and by all accounts he's been doing ok. Not setting the heather alight but doing ok. Liverpool loaned Ward to us and he quickly become a fan favourite and been one of (if not the) stand out players for us this season. If we had an injury crisis in the goalkeeping dept or if our keepers badly lost form (as has happened at Liverpool) would you not expect to be able to fall back on one of your own players who's on good form even if the circumstances and timing aren't great? Of course you would. You can call Liverpool cunts for a lot of things (probably) but, to be fair, recalling their own player in their current circumstances isn't one of them. Now we need to address the goalkeeping position long term. Although I appreciate that's harder to do in January. I'd be happy to take Rodgers back and give him a chance in the 1st team (now that the season is over ) and that gives him until the summer to prove to us that he's good enough. If he's not we need a long term (ie not a loan player) replacement in the summer. Who that would be? No idea. Haven't seen enough of any other keepers already mentioned to form a proper opinion.

    Flooding

Apocalyptic scenes in some parts of Aberdeen and Shire and further afield. Airport was closed. Residents of Grandholm evacuated and my mate's house in Fetterangus now has a fully functioning moat. Hope all fellow DT Talkers are safe and dry wherever they are.

Aye it looks like I'd need to shell oot for a ticket at a different cinema to see it. Which, to be honest, I'll probably end up doing. Unless you're offering.

Agreed. One of my favourite scene with Waltz is when he's eating strudel with Shosanna. I'm looking forward to seeing Hateful Eight but it's not showing at Cineworld and my unlimited card is for there.
  10. We'd be due compensation I think if we offered him a deal? Surely we'll offer him something?
  11. Welcome aboard.
  12. I guess they've got something planned with Pep? Although it will never surprise me to see Madrid punt any manager.
  13. It was actually the fallout from particularly cantankerous article from Oor Wullie's own Hunday Post where an SNP member of staff was asked about Andy Murray's omission from the new year honours list. The SNP member was of the opinion that Murray deserved one yet the paper implied (The paper, mind. Not the politician) that Murray's snub was due to his stance on indy. This led to thick unionist cunts foaming at the mouth about how "SNP would seek political gain from anything" and that "Politicians shouldn't give their opinions on these sort of things" and also one particularly spasticated being who reckoned that Murray was undeserving "because how English tennis players had been knighted?". The quotes from the politician had zero political substance to them. Simply talked about sport. But that managed to completely enrage the thicko brit nats.
  14. All of those things are SNP's fault.

Good film. Cleverer that it seems at first glance. Like many Pixar efforts. Can't be properly appreciated by kids or thick adults. Went to see In the Heart of the Sea last night. Nae a bad film. Just a bitty too much animal butchery for my liking. Hard to believe how much more spasticated mankind was just a couple of centuries ago.

    Tonights tipple

Zero alcohol consumed over the festive period and I still feel shite.
  17. Listen to/watch this.. it'll help for about 16 minutes at least. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZDiaRZy0Ak
  18. Quote from moaning wanker behind me last night when Jack pulled up injured: "He's done his hamstring. Good. He deserves that." Utter fucking embarrassment of a man you are you old cretin. Jack is on poor form. No doubt about that. But wishing your own players injuries? Fuck you. You got the result you deserved. Prick. Plenty of others didn't turn up last night either.
  19. Aye the weather up here is fucking miserable. The game will probably go ahead but football won't win tonight.
  20. £17million please Celtic.
  21. Usual protocol then.. the level of panic will depend heavily on remaining length of contract term. I've nae idea how long he has left but I trust the board not to let him or anyone go on the cheap. Especially to the Green Unwashed.
  22. Giving this a wee bump as there's a nice wee selection of kits available from the 90s here: http://www.vintagefootballshirts.com/teams/other-scottish-clubs/38?sort=&page=1 £40 for the infamous Northsound away kit. Bargain. I was hoping for one of the adidas kits from the early 80s but appreciate that they'll be harder to get. Anyone else know of decent (and trustworthy) sites for buying retro tops? I also found: https://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/other-uk-clubs/scottish-clubs/aberdeen.html Does anyone still have a 90s top? I take it they fit looser than modern shirts?
  23. Unless his form picks up he won't be playing too many more!
  24. Just a few weeks ago I was overhearing folk saying that he'd been shite and having a bad season etc. Well done Adam. If this is shite keep being shite!
