  1. I wonder id Deek is considering a move for Ward given that he is benchwarming at Liverpool and 3rd in the pecking order? Surely Liverpool would be receptive to the idea given how well he developed the last time he came here? Boy Woodman would be a good move too. He did well at Killie.
  2. Yeah I did mean that we need a back up. Although Rogers looked good on Saturday, you could tell he was nervous. He spilled a few shots but recovered well with all of them.
  3. Was just wondering if anyone has any ideas for a temp replacement keeper given Lewis appears to be out for a while?
  4. Smaller than £80k?!? We better not lose out on him for the sake of £20-30k!!
  5. They’re not an unfairly physical team. 6 yellow cards and one red with zero for the Dons would suggest otherwise.....?
  6. Get that one right up ye Weegie media and especially Kris Boyd!!!!
  7. I am very impressed with the way in which Paul Sheerin conducted that press conference. He was thrown to the lions and held his nerve. Well done Paul, take a bow and do us all proud tomorrow night!
  8. Where are you seeing/hearing this Reidzer? I can't find it anywhere.
  9. You are right we will never know what might have happened but I believe that Milne will be keen to try and restore the good will of the supporters and will invest in a decent manager and give him backing in January/summer. Afterall it is clear to see that Nicky Maynard needs replacing as will Gregg Stewart. Christie and Ball will return to their clubs and then MacLean is also confirmed to be leaving so that is 5 replacements required MINIMUM! We HAVE to invest in a left back with some attacking pace as we are struggling big time there.
  10. Have you seen the accounts for last season? We finished 3rd in the league, ok only got to 3rd and 4th round of the cups but also got to the 3rd qualifying round of Europa League which brought in gate receipts and prize money. After that we still made a loss of about £1.2m after tax. granted that included for a de-valuation of Pittodrie by £2.5ish Million. But still, there is not huge returns to be had in the Scottish game unless you get to Champions League or even the Europa league stages. It would take a huge investment and would be a huge risk. If you failed to qualify for Europa League stages you would take a huge loss. I wish that we could get a sugar daddy but unfortunately that doesn't happen in Scotland for good reason - Sky and BT are not really interested in our game as everyone is watching the EPL.
  11. Oh how good would it be if the words to their own song (polite version) were to predict a 4 game losing streak.....
  12. I know! Tell me about It! I've just moved even closer to Rugby Park too! (8 mins walk!!) ?
  13. Out Daughter's birthday party Daughter's birthday party watching on TV (delayed) 1-0 Considine
  14. I believe it is getting postponned until after St. Johnstone so it is during the international break.
  15. Leighton was a legend and will forever be my football hero but Senders was the best keeper I have ever seen play for the Dons. He was the first goalkeeper to be named player of the season in Scotland. (Possibly the only keeper). Kjaer was also fantastic and another great, albeit for a short period, was John 'Budgie' Burridge. All that said, Lewis is shaping up to be THE best. If he continues his form throughout the whole season, there is no reason why he cant get POTY. Also get an England call up.
  16. Two sections in top tier sold out and 3rd section opened up - only 38 seats left in that!!
  17. I would just like to say, well done this afternoon Rooney! I though he camed on and changed the game. He held the ball up well and he ran at defenders and took his goal beautifully! Credit where credit is due. He has been getting some stick on here recently. Remember he is the only player since the early 90s at Aberdeen to hit more than 20 goals in a season and he has done it 3 years running! I really like May and I'm delighted we have him but I'm certainly not ready for us to offload Rooney as some on here have commented!!
  18. I emailed the ticket office to ask how many tickets have been sold for Firhill tomorrow. I just got a reply to say they have nearly sold out their 1,750 allocation! There are only 86 tickets available on the website. I suspect that there will be cash turnstiles on too as the 'main stand' at Firhill holds over 2,300. Should be a good atmosphere! I'm taking my youngest daughter (4) to her first game and her big sister (7) to her second game! Eldest was at Hampden for the Semi against Hibs. I've had to bring her expectations down a little! 4,500 at Firhill is not going to be quite like 50,000 at Hampden!! In Pre - Football coaching and running aboot like a blue arsed fly Post - No plans - hopefully celebrating! Prediction - 2-0 Wright and May
  19. I am not from the area and so don't really have an opinion either way that would be unbiased. I want to see a brand spanking new stadium as it will generate more income for the club and a far better atmosphere at home matches. I am happy with the location because, coming from the south, it will take 20-30 minutes off my journey time. Anyway, what I do have a relevant point to make about is when you say that councils make their decisions based purely on the plans. I wish that was true! sadly we live in a world where votes count and the more voters that appear to be in favour of something, the more likely the councilors are to vote that way. At the end of the day all they are interested in is their own position on the council........
  20. All this chat about heat and humidity is sensationalism by the papers. They claimed it was 80 degrees last night - that's only 26oC in modern money. They also made a point of saying it was 50% humidity. To put that in perspective - where I live (Kilmarnock) is to be 18oC and 72% humidity tomorrow night at the same time. It really isn't that bad. If it was to be humidity in the 80%'s then they would have a problem but at 50% that is low compared to Scotland in the summer time evenings.
