  1. Cant say i know much about him but in fairness to levien he's got an excellent record in the transfer market. Overall im quite optimistic about the upcoming season, i agree with funster that the lack of euro football should have a big benefit on our domestic campaign.
  2. All the bbc pundits to a man have put utd as their favourite to finish 3rd. Not one of them put us. Fair enough utd are hard to beat but they dont exactly have a threatening front line.
  3. What do you all think the starting lineup for the weekend should be? I've not seen any of the pre-season games but this is the line up i would go for Clangers Duff Zander Seve Mulgrew Kerr Mcdonald Smith De visch Bebo Miller Kerr would play a holding role with mcdonald sitting a bit futher forward. Smith and jeffrey to float about behind the front two.
  4. Maybe not win a trophy but for me a cup final is a must. Last time was 2000 and that is too long ago. I think we are going to have a pretty decent season truth be told and if the hun keep on being so woeful then we may keep up with them. A succesfull season for me is Cup final top 3 finish I agree with bloo, we need to see the younger boys like paton pushing for places. I dunno why cos i've not seen him play but i've got this gut feeling that sammy stewart is going to be a big player for us in the future.
  5. To be honest i was taking the wright signing with a pinch of salt till i saw him play. It seems from that interview that deano actually does rate him. Might actually let myself get a bit excited now
  6. All but nicholson. I did think touzani could play but since he didnt get a game its not really a loss. I agree with spiers though, we're still short a centre half. At the moment we' are left hoping that mair or considine willl stand up and grow a pair
  7. Cant see anyone else being in for 3rd than us and utd. Im relatively optimistic about the upcoming season, we've brought in some good players in kerr and mulgrew and i fancy bebo to make some big strides forward this season. Bn is obviously a loss as is maybury but aside from that we're in pretty good shape for next week. The only concern i have is the lack of strength in depth at the back. If we lose zander for any length of time we're a bit fucked. What i wouldnt give to have anderson back!!!!!!
  8. Good stuff hopefully they'll be on where their hongovers ease and let us know what they thought of the performance..... Hint Hint
  9. Any donstalkers actually make the game?
  10. This is really sick so be warned Whats the best thing about shagging a 3 year old girl? You can flip her over and pretend that she's a three year old boy.
  11. The guys not even had a full season in charge yet. Also this stunning football that is their tradition, Hibs is the club that gave alex miller a good few seasons in charge. They cannae be that keen on it!
  12. they have had a couple of good fee's from the huns for boyd and naismith in recent times
  13. Jc is quoted in the paper as saying “Getting a striker is now at the top of our agenda" Also says “We will also sign two more defenders and another who can play in a variety of roles and that will be that." Anyone else think that a left back should be the priority? Dont get me wrong im ok with foster playing there as he's had some decent showings but there is no competition for the position whatsoever! Up front we have miller, mackie, maguire and smith (dont care if he was signed as a midfielder up front is his best position by a mile).
  14. Im sorry dude but i really just cant agree. i thought he was just truly awfull. Anytime the ball went near him i shat myself
  15. Yeah fair point RR, i just cant help thinking we've had a few players who havn't played to potential and that maybe that was part of the reason why
  16. Probably similar circumstances to lee miller leaving utd for us i.e. wanting him off the wage bill. I dont really have a problem with it truth be told, doubt sparta would have been willing to pay a fee and we've got rid of a player that played in 25 games in two years. Not really much of a loss is it, regardless of the fact he had some good games.
  17. second that jim. Was just on the beeb website and something that willo flood said make me think of not only touzani but also players like devisch and lovell. "He knew that I could do the business for him," Flood said of Levein. "When you have a manager who believes in you then you always want to play for him. "You want to feel wanted by a club, that's when you play your best football. It's great to know that I'm wanted by the club. JC could definitely take note here
  18. Its no shock to me. I thought he looked pretty good in most games he played but lets face it he played very few games.
  19. Im sure i read that he had turned down a contract offer from utd but i cant find anything about it on the beeb website.
  20. Delighted with this signing. Adds a bit of aggression to our midfield which has been sadly lacking in the that department. Fair play to the lad as well, probably could have gone to the championship and made more money. Nice to see a player show a bit of ambition for success as opposed to money
  21. No he's saying that he has a better goals to games ratio to them bar gillhaus
