  1. As much as i love le marche its no place to go before the game. Pheonix is always good craic before the game and would be my vote.
  2. Great for little lay-offs and one-twos. Most off my shots hit the target but often im offside. Im an pretend intellectual and like to read the scotland on sunday which incidently my player used to write a collumn in. I have had to shave my hair off to prove a point and i also hate charlie allen Im just trying to be better striker, so was he My name is Stav
  3. In fairness cases like riordans are a lot rarer than they were back in the 90's. Plenty of promising players have gone to the old firm in recent times and done really well, eg scott brown, mark wilson, steven whittaker. Kevin thompson in particular has come on in leaps and bounds at the hun and will be the key scotland midfielder in a few seasons. Back to topic though john kennedy would be an incredible signing i reckon. He's a clever centre half, the kind that could keep zander organised and if it happened they would be challenging for best CB partnership in the league. Unfortunately i cant see us affording the transfer fee. The Gow rumour has been going round all season and wont go away untill he leaves rangers. If it happens it happens but im getting bored of hearing about it all the time. Who is paul dixon? Never heard of him
  4. Im quite pleased that we are planing on keeping bebo. I've always seen him as someone who is capable of a little bit of flair. Next season is a big one for him though, needs to turn potential into goals and assists. If he does that we'l have a really good player.................. heres hoping!
  5. Benji's a bit of a mcfadden i reckon, needs to be loved. He was brilliant week in week out under mowbary, i'd have him in a second.
  6. The pain that women experience during childbirth is nothing compared to pain AFC have inflicted on their fans in the past 20 years. Therefore number 37 is that I can only conclude that the modern Aberdeen fan is a masochist. 38. Stuart milne is bald but used to wear a silly wig
  7. Fucking hell, it beggars belief that people actually think like that.
  8. If we were going to sign anyone from ICT it should be blackie. Im trying to remember the last aberdeen midfielder that combined real tenacity with skill and the 1st that springs to mind is rico. I know he would cost £ but i also know him and special brew do not get on. Not saying we shouldnt try to sign cowie as well though as he's been the key man in ict's recent revival according to a few fans i know
  9. No doubt that JC has his moments of infuriation but if you'd offered me two cup semi's, last 32 of the uefa cup and 4th place in the league before the start of the season i would have been delighted with that. As for signings i'm going to reserve jusgement till i see them but i thought duf was pretty decent against the huns (1st time i've seen him this season)
  10. Seems rather pointless to dredge up a debate on a player that is never going to play for us again. I think it is more interesting to speculate to the future and how Foran (medical providing) will be employed. For the record i rate mackie, he's a pain in the arse to defenders and gets important goals. Not saying he doesnt make me pull my hair out though
  11. What annoys me most about afc is that they let key players get into their last year of contract. I can understand to a certain extent with miller as he had an iffy first season but players like anderson, nicholoson should have been sorted out with extensions long before they were offered.
  12. Its gonna be some game on saturday i reckon. Gutted i cant go. Is the hun game on setanta?
  13. Im with you SS, Utd are pretty much better in every department imo and we will do well to take a point. Also the huns are going to be knackered after extra time last night (still cant believe the huns are in the uefa cup final) and definitely fancy hibs to at least take a point.
  14. Attendance: 8,387 I dont think Calderwood can really be blamed for thinking that 3rd place is unachievable when clearly most of the supporters do. That is a piss poor attendance! Dont get me wrong im not the guys biggest fan but i dont blame him for taking the opportunity to look at potential players when they are playing in 1st team games. Unfortunately that is likely to co-incide with when we are also playing. Good result today i thought, from what ive seen off hibs mixu has them playing for each other in a way collins never did.
  15. 8 games. Get through the intertoto you go into the 2nd qualifying round of the uefa. I reckon no europe next season definitely has its advantages. Less pressure on what will be a re-vamped squad. As much as the extra revenue would be a bonus i personally see a strong league finish and cup final as my priority for next season. Europe has given us some great highs this season but i cant help but feel its helped paper over the cracks a bit too.
  16. Fair play to him for saying it but reckon zander is going to get pretty hefty fine from the sfa for this
  17. Dont know where to stand on this one. JC would be right to take a hard line with unruly players challenging his authority but on the flip side his tactics are shite. Its a toughie
  18. Yeah i know what you mean ajja, the only player/s i'd be disapointed about leaving are miller and nicholson. The squad definitely needs a spring clean, particularily in midfield. Hell it might even give seve a kick up the ass enough to make him the player he was a few seasons back.
  19. Unfortunately its not stopped me getting dogs abuse, mainly from fucking ICT fans
  20. Didn't see it, im 5 hours behind uk time and woke up just after it finished. You know its weird, i thought i'd been through it all in terms of disapointment in the 90's and early 0's. Unfortunately not, aberdeen are still able to bring me to new lows. Its hard to comment on a game i've not seen but this really is a kick n the teeth. Losing a semi to utd was hard to take but at least they are a decent side. Calderwood has a lot to answer for after today. He's had some impressive results in charge of aberdeen but there is no excuse for shipping 4 goals to a 1st division side
  21. I'd go soutar for this one as i dont think he's done anything to warrant being dropped. Mind you he didnt the last time either but JC was right to make the change given clangers performance against dnipro. When it comes down to it i reckon clangers is a better shot stopper than Soutar, can see him playing in the final providing we dont fuck up on sat. Personally its not a decision i envy calderwood having to make.
  22. It hardly ruined his career VDA just his final game. Probably Anton Rogan, Mark walters played for the other half of the axis of evil No surprises there
  23. 24:10:1995 against the huns in the league cup semi. For years this was the best day of my life. Was at the 4-0 game and though obviously gutted it didnt seem that bad as it was such a joke having to play a striker in goal for 88 minutes. My worst hampden memory doesnt involve the dons im afraid. It was the scotland italy game last year. It was hard enough seeing them get the last minute winner but i was holding it together. Then i got a text saying that it had been a foul on hutton and that we had been robbed. Needless to say i lost the plot a bit and went on a total bender! On the flip side though the bounce when ferguson scored was without doubt the best i have ever been in.
  24. I was told by a hun that it was the 17th which left me distraught as i would have been on a plane when the game was being played. Thankfully a good samaritan made my year when she informed me that it was in fact the 24th which is also the first day of a 3 week holiday for me. In the words of glen quagmire "Gigggigigigigigdy"
