  1. McGhee is clearly a tactical genius after all. Basically he is saying, 'If we played better, like the team that humped us did, we would maybe no get humped by every team we play that plays better than we do... or something...' He thinks that that he 'could have seen progress' - er... that's not quite the same thing as actually seeing progress is it?! 'We are much more ready for the Celtic game' - WTF does that even mean? 'We've had a bit of practice getting pissed all over by a better team'??!? Magic...
  2. My head says we will lose this game 2-0. My heart says: Get tore rite intae them lads! 0-5 and we're through! Mon the Dons!!!
  3. I would bite their arm off. He's no worth £8.50 these days...
  4. Depressingly, I agree with almost every word... The fast depleting quality of Scottish fitba' overall and the Dons specifically is a sickener... God bless the free market, Bosman and ridiculous millions in wages for the elite... all leading to the only-slightly-above-average player expecting to earn at least high 5 figures a season... we have no chance when League One (the English third divison ffs!) can comfortably outbid and outpay us for players... I am away for a lie down before I start tying a noose... EDIT: But I do agree with El Padre and think that the Hoops will gie us a bit of a spanking. Reckon we might get Fortune's domestic career off to a great start... If any team is gonna make him look like a striker it's us! God, I'm depressed!!!
  5. It's tragic really, innit... Anderson was a good, generally solid defender. He wasn't even a regular Scotland international though, let alone world-class. It is only the relative paucity of ability on show since he's left that makes him seem like he was a much better player than he ever was... Sigh...
  6. Have to admit I have been pretty much fed up with the Dons since the middle of last season, when it became apparent - yet again - that we are really not much better than Hibs, Utd, Falkirk, Killie, Hamilton etc. We were dull to watch and lost every 'make-or-break' type of game we played in. We only just scraped into Europe - mainly by virtue of no other team being able to pull themselves together for a wee run of results. Now we look like our Euro adventure is over before the season has begun. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn! Yet another 'make-or-break' type of game completely bottled by the same group of near incompetents that we pay hundreds or even thousands of pounds a week to 'play football'. McGhee has done precisely nothing since his arrival to give us any reason for confidence in his reign. I have a feeling that he is going to turn out to have been a baaaaaaaad move. Hope I end up eating my words, but he is looking like a dud (as well as a bit of a fud).
  7. Just to be clear - I didn't post to take a dig at McGhee. Hopefully we will be able to gie Sigma a guid pumping wi the cock we already have (oo-er). Just a bit gutted that we seem to be incapable of attracting any players at all so far. It doesn't seem to matter who the manager is, we just keep getting fucked over for transfers and seem to end up signing players of a lower and lower standard. For someone who remembers fitba' in the 80s, it is depressing as... And for Luggy to be the one to be interfering...
  8. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5455707,00.html WTF?! Are we signing anyone... ever again...
  9. Well, let's hope to see some evidence of maturity in the performances to come. If we can have the old young Zander Diamond back I'll be delighted!
  10. Holy shit. Those guys dying words are gonna be, '...oh aye, and tell Jimmy Calderwood he's still a cunt.' Haven't Dundee comprehensively out-spent us in he transfer market this summer?
  11. I do too have a clue! Seve was mostly rubbish for us for at least the last couple of seasons - and was absolutely pish as captain. The fact that he was sometimes a little better than most of the rest of the players in the squads he played in is little to celebrate IMO. I don't think he will be missed very much at all - if we get in a half-decent centre-back.
  12. Ciao Seve. Hope yer legs hold out for another season or two... Vastly overrated player in my opinion. Just shows the paucity of talent at AFC and in Scotland in general that he is seen as anything other than competent (and then only sometimes).
  13. According to babelfish: The first test play in the context of the training camp of the TSV 1860 Munich of 13. to 22 July 2009 in pc. Johann in the Pongau is already perfect. Opponent is on 18 July 2009, 16 o'clock, in bath Wimsbach the Scottish tradition club FC Aberdeen. „The Dons " play in the Scottish Prime Minister League and are one of the most popular and most successful associations of the country. The most successful time of the club is past somewhat more than one quarter century. Among coaches sir Alex Ferguson won Aberdeen 1983 the European Cup of the Cup winners in the final game over Real Madrid. The past play time terminated the association on the fourth place in the table of the Scottish Prime Minister League. Club legend Mark of McGhee transferred recently the follow-up in May of the Jimmy Calderwood withdrawn as coaches with the Dons. Dates for further preparation plays of the lions on the season 2009/2010 are certain already, the play places and opponents still are in planning. At the 11. , 17. , 21. and 28 July 2009 is to follow further test portions.
  14. Have to say his interview was a 1000 times better than any Jimmy ever gave. Reasonably eloquent, thoughtful and realistic. Good luck Mark!
  15. You smoking my weed too? I gonna kill you and Smokey because you playin' with my emotions...
  16. Oscar Wilde eat yer heart out... You sir, are a bell-end
  17. There's a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis.
  18. Ajja is optimistic, but I'm still to be convinced that we are capable of winning even ONE 'must win' game this season... What do you reckon?
  19. No harm in a bit of optimism Ajja, and I admire you for it, but we have been pish all year and fallen at every fence/gate we've faced. I'm fed up trying to kid myself on that some sort of miracle is gonnna take place. I find it hard to see us beating the Hibees, never mind getting anything at Ibrox. We will do well to keep it to 2-0 on Saturday I reckon. Can just see us handing them a right big boost and taking a total shellacking. Not cos of some of the conspiracy theories re JC that my Celtic minded work colleagues have proposed (they still havenae forgiven him for Dunfermline 'lying down'), but just because we are useless at the moment whenever the chance to do 'something' presents itself (and preventing the Gers from winning the league counts as 'something' to me!). I also believe that Utd are capable of beating Hearts never mind drawing. We are already dead. We just don't know it yet. EDIT: Would be abso-fucking-lutely delighted to be proved wrong, of course!
  20. Nice one JC. Petulant and racist. Far aboot's Lee Miller fae again? He got a Lithuanian Uncle or something that we don't know about? Hearts may be a cheating, time-wasting disgrace, but if we'd scored one of the chances we made no one would be giving a flying fuck. We might even have indulged in a bit of time-wasting ourselves, no? Which would have been cheered from the rafters. Dick.
  21. Have to admit, I don't remember loving Hart that much when he was here... Now he's been gone a while it's like he was some sort of world-class defender that we let slip through our fingers. He wisnae and isnae.
