  1. It's certainly an interesting new transfer policy. Why we haven't tried it before I can't imagine. Well done JC!
  2. Who was the best of a pretty poor bunch? Who cares?! I sure don't... If you wanna spend your time trying to decide between different varieties of shite, check this oot instead: http://www.thedandies.co.uk/messageboard/index.php?topic=8575.0
  3. That's actually a good point. The minnow finalists are often all too happy to accept the consolation of a couple of games in Europe when they are up against the OF in the final. Might encourage some more 'determined'* play. *I mean 'dirty'
  4. What a total dick. Tries to make out Riordan hit him as well. Classic numpty. Funny but.
  5. Just makes our recent indiscipline all the more embarassing and enraging. What a bunch of complete fuds our players are.
  6. He was possibly OK in the first half - I didn't actually see that, only heard it - but he was absolute bollox in the second. Once he had made the misjudgement that led to the equaliser he was all over the shop. The whole team was pretty ineffective though. One word sums us up at the moment - pussies. No heart, no fight, no skill, no belief. Watching JC's body language was no fun either. He's supposed to be on the side-lines giving the players confidence and driving them on. Instead he seemed to spend the entire second half wheeling around and grimacing like a bairn and huffing and puffing rather than making the changes (tactical since we had no decent personnel on the bench I suppose) that would have got us back into the game. It ended up a comfortable win for Celtic, who were actually pretty gash themselves. Can't see us catching Utd now, let alone Hearts. I am in a pretty bad mood - in case you didnae guess!
  7. Smith Must Go! Good player when fit, but when is he ever actually 100% match fit?!
  8. If we win 4 of the remaining 5 I will eat my (woolly) hat. We might still make third without doing that though. Fancy Hertz to spill a few points...
  9. +1 Anyway, should it not be Calderforest, or Caldercopse, or Calderthicket, or even Calderlumber... or anything else that is actually a synonym for 'wood'?
  10. Did you post on the wrong AFC site you disgusting homophobe!?!?! (Just yankin' yer chain oo-er missus)
  11. Not exactly enamoured with the team at the moment, but this just seems stupid. Can't imagine where it originated from... But I did also get an email from a certain reactionary football website... Fuck that. Mon the Dons and get tore intae them! The tide must turn...
  12. Airdrie cos my father in law is a steward there and would be gutted to lose to MY team!
  13. I can't believe the abuse this guy gets - from that picture he is clearly only 12 years old. Give the young laddy a chance ffs...
  14. Loving the positivity! I too am allowing myself to be fooled one more time. [move]GET FUCKIN INTAE THEM YOU REDS!!!![/move]
  15. Just rest them gently on here and then cough...
  16. I don't. Good fucking riddance I'd say. He's not a defender and he's pretty poor in mid these days an' a'. As for as a captain. Meh (as my kids would say).
  17. Just realised this was nicked from a slightly better article in the EE... Doh! Shoulda guessed... http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/999855
  18. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/2008/12/24/aberdeen-will-go-for-broke-in-hunt-for-european-place-insists-jimmy-calderwood-86908-20993084/ Aberdeen will go for broke in hunt for European place, insists Jimmy Calderwood Dec 24 2008 By Ian Orr JIMMY CALDERWOOD says Aberdeen will go for broke in their bid to qualify for next season's Europa League. The Dons boss insisted he will never deploy a one-man attack - in complete contrast to Euro rivals Hearts. Calderwood's claim and the clash of styles between the rivals will add an edge to Saturday's meeting at Pittodrie. The Pittodrie chief said: "A lot of SPL sides have been going with one striker up front away from home and sometimes at home too. I've never been a fan of a 4-5-1 set-up. "You have to win games if you want to claim one of the European places. You can't risk going for draws and hoping other results go your way. "We've begun winning regularly at Pittodrie again because of that attitude and the aim is to do exactly the same on our travels. "The fight for the European places is likely to go right to the wire and could be decided by the team that collects most points on the road. "That means we will play with at least two strikers every timed. Tactics will depend on what we believe is the right approach for any particular game." Aberdeen's recent defensive resilience, with only the Old Firm conceding fewer goals, has made Calderwood confident his attacking policy will pay off. And he paid tribute to captain Scott Severin, after his switch from midfield to sweeper. Calderwood added: "Seve has been fabulous over the last few weeks. "We needed someone with a bit more experience to steady the ship when we were losing daft goals earlier in the season and he has provided that. "Seve never gets caught ball watching as younger guys do sometimes. "He also reads the game so well that he is often in position to cut out passes before they have been made. "If we keep recording clean sheets and defending as strongly as we have it will be hard to justify making any changes." ---------------------------------------------------------------- Let's hope he means it!

  20. I can't believe this! I always look forward to our games with a mixture of exceitement and trepidation, but I still look forward to them. Useless Killie cunts.
