  1. I was always getting them two donkeys mixed up! I'm tired man, gies a break! I go to the effort to plug my show and you pick me up on a minor mis-identification. Booooooo!!!
  2. Yo folks, I do an internet radio show called Journeys and am giving away two tickets for the Motherwell game at Pittodrie on the 29th, on this Sunday's show. For details check oot the post in the Music/Movies/Games bit: http://www.thedandies.co.uk/messageboard/index.php?topic=6672.0 Get on Jimmy's back, hold yer breath when Jamie comes for that cross, or give Derek Young pelters, all for free! Stu

  4. Who is putting the t-shirt order in with this on the front and back in large bold lettering? I'll have an XL, cheers.
  5. Killie isn't far from Glasgow (where I live), but I wouldnae cross the street to watch Aberdeen right now, so won't be going.
  6. Could we have an 'All Of The Above' option? Why we can't just play a bit of football is beyond me. It's early doors in the season and yet our players play like they are a few games from relegation. Panicked clearances, hurried punts up to the front players (whoever they happen to be that day), tired looking tackling, no real certainty of what their exact position is and no cutting edge whatsoever. No soul, no grit, no balls. I am generally pleased with JC's tenure as Don's boss, but am getting to the stage where I am just constantly bewildered by the very obvious lack of leadership both on and off the park. Apparently the players are nervous because we get on their backs?! Fucking diddums. Am I wrong or are they earning 4 figures a week to appear in public playing football? Cannae handle getting booed? Fuck off! A real player would suck those boos in and give the best performance he'd ever given in order to silence them. Not go greetin' to the manager or the press about the fans being mean to them. Poor souls. We need to win a few on the bounce really quickly, but it's hard to see where those results are coming from. I will be amazed if Celtic don't give us a real doing. Although it wouldn't suprise me too much to see the same players play well and win/draw or lose unluckily* there, then go back home and play just as badly as against ICT, Hamilton and Dundee Utd and have to suffer through our 'terrifying abuse' again. I've a strange feeling we might just do Killie in the Cup, but then it's that kind of optimism with no evidence that keeps most of us sucked in anyway! I am at a loss as to what the solution is. At the moment it looks like watching a load of old shite week in week out, or giving football a bye for at least a few weeks - until we improve, or hit rock-bottom and something changes. If we don't improve soon, I'm going to find myself falling into the Jimmy Must Go camp, and I don't really wanna have to do that; as I have absolutely no clue who we would go for instead. It's starting to spoil my weekends! *Think I pretty much covered all the bases score-wise there.
  7. Another gutless performance and our 'saviour' Tommy Wrong turns out to be the liability I always suspected he might be. Utter pish. EDIT: Cannae type I'm so hacked off!
  8. http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/845254 "ABERDEEN assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl has vowed to develop Richard Foster into the complete player." Erm... if they reckon that is possible what have they been waiting for then?!?!?!
  9. It's about time someone else took his plaice... Damn... didn't realise that one had already gone! Erm... People have been carp-ing on about this useless bass-tard all season... Maybe he is hard of herring... ? (Coughs and leaves room...)
  10. Great response to the Evening Depress report (http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/827698) "Charlie Allan - YOU ARE A CLOWN!!!!!! Were you even at the game or did you borrow the write up from the AFC website before adding your own doom and gloom spin on it? It was a friendly match, a testimonial. Fraserbourgh were given 2 pens, one of which was for an imaginary foul and the other was to make sure Derek Milne got his testimonial goal. Aberdeen were all over them, it was like watching a cat with a mouse..... Give up football writing Charlie, you've never been any good at it anyway. A new career as the wife of a fish monger in Torry awaits you, I'm sure you'll fit in nicely with the rest of the gossips in the Anchorage Bar on a Friday morning while they wait for their husbands to get back from sea! Brian Henderson" Dunno if he posts on here, but nice one!
  11. So churlish TF! (Have definitely seen a somewhat similar thread on here afore right enough) I support Aberdeen cos I was born up there whilst my dad was working up there. Left when I was 4, and my dad steered me away from Celtic (my mates' team) when I was but an impressionable nipper. Think we won the league the next season and the whole CWC thing happened a couple of seasons later... Been 'stuck' with them ever since!
  12. Langfield Foster - Diamond - Considine - Mulgrew Smith - Seve - McDonald - Aluko Mackie - Miller Just don't trust Seve in defence and expect him to start picking up again now that he will actually have to put up a fight for a place in midfield. Reckon Wright looks like nothing more than a fucking liability so far, so sticking with Dazzling!
  13. Just as I was falling out of love with the whole fitba thing they pull me back in again! Nice one Can't wait to see this team gel and start winning some games wi a bit to spare... Well, I can dream again!
  14. Talk about stretching an obscure reference... That's the way (uh-huh uh-huh) I like it, though
  15. Seems like he'd be a decent signing... cannae be right...
  16. Aint hindsight marvellous? EDIT: http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1354353,00.html I always had an eyrie sense this game wouldn't go ahead... I'll get ma coat...
  17. Gillhaus all the way. Loved watching him play, and only wish we had a couple of his calibre at the club these days! (A goalkeeper as good as Theo would also be most welcome, mind! Shame he blotted his copy-book by going to Snake Mountain - I'm still petty enough to hold that against players!)
  18. He was a good player in his day. I just think he had already had it by the time he came to us. I was busy getting into music, girls and booze at the time, but I do remember being thoroughly frustrated by his performances in a Dons jersey. I'm sure he had the odd good game/parts of games, but I really felt that he was just strolling about much of the time 'being Charlie Nicholas'. How he ended up back at Celtic is beyond me. He did score 30 goals in 78 appearances for us which isn't too shabby compared to our current lot of strikers right enough...
  19. Nah man. I just seem to remember hating the wee fucker. Spent more time on his arse than actually effecting the game, as I recall. Champagne Charlie personified. I was just sayin' that big names don't always mean you get a good player. I'd much rather some (hopefully above) average, trophy hungry SPL player than some dude wi a reputation and nothing left to prove.
  20. Aye, and he wiz pish as far as I can mind?! We can live without names for the sake of names...
  21. Nice to see us finish on a high. Was dreading the 'lying down' allegations if we'd put in a QoS performance. Sweet!
