Jack has never been much of a leader. He should never have been appointed Captain in the first place. Never a captain, no stature in middle, no leadership traits. I see him pointing and finger jabbing his teammates a lot after goals against. Only now in Shinnie have the club got a true superb leader to replace Russ Anderson. A lot of folk forgetting that Jack can treble his money or more at Rangers and gets European football also plus a 3 year contract.

It was Lovenkrands co-commentator. A club's own digital TV channel is always going to be biased. Especially Rangers Tv or Celtic TV - they are obviously going to be pro club. Problem is Red TV has just become a total online joke in terms of the match commentary - complete amateurish waffle and tripe spoken from start and constantly and having digs at Dons fans. I know I am not the only one feels this way its cringeworthy garbage they come out with. I got rid of RedTV after 4 years - its just total rubbish. It says it all when the clubs head of Media and PR Dave McDiermid is the main match commentator for RedTV. Would not pay for it - garbage and spoiled whole channel for me. Having said all that Rangers coverage of the game last night was not the best. You'd hope it would be better quality commentators really given the amount of subscribers they have globally. Celtic TV was worse - utter trash spoken from that off - 90 mins of Jimmy Johnstone references and Celtic speak. None the less REDTV commentary is my concern - about time the club got it fixed. Total rubbish.

Have you ever listed to RedTV commentary?

Why is Scott Wright not being integrated into the matchday 90 mins more via the subs bench? SPL experienced players are the way forward - people with good solid experience at other SPL clubs. No marks from EU do not work as is case at Hearts currently. I can think of 10/11 players off the top of my head who while maybe not available would be suitable for boosting the Dons squad: Ryan Christie Liam Boyce Sean Maloney David Gray Michael Devlin Ali Crawford Sam Nicholson Jamie Walker Steven Naismith Owain Fon Williams Alan Mannus Scott Bain

Just to get back to basics. What's your point caller? Madden is the ref (source: Scottish FA website). Looking good this final - many of us and them think ref is a Hun and against us. Jesus, this is going to be some occasion! -

From all the waffle and stuff I have read / heard Bobby Madden was a season ticket holder at Ibrox. By that logic being alluded to we should be going to Hampden and the SFA now in a good frame of mind thanking them for this appointment for what is a game between our team and his hated rivals! Because whatever Aberdeen fans think about Rangers I know for a fact that there is only one team that Rangers fans hate and they play in green!! -

Well I have no idea whatsoever or facts or (my wife knows such and such) evidence that a referee supports any team of any type or name. No idea. But given referees are normal football fans underneath it all, like a bloke that cleans streets and have interest in the game of football and anyone that follows football likes a team its possibly fair to say that they all have a team outside of the impartiality that have on a field? Liam McLeod (Sportscene commentator is massive Dandy, so is Richard Gordon, so is Rob McLean so is Michael Grant (Herald) - it does not mean that are biased in words, actions or views. And given Aberdeen are a big team its probably fair to say some refs will like Aberdeen? No? I can think of 3 or 4 Premier League referees from the past who came from Aberdeen? -

Aaaah, another classic from the school of Donstalk factual accuracies requests. Each day a millions a 1 posts and opinions are spouted on here and never queried. I happen to state a few pretty obvious ones and flash BINGO "Can you back that up with facts/sources'.... However, 1: Bud......Ryan Jack had a Groin operations last week? A week ago. Its fair to say I am not going to add to the 'he is going to Rangers conspiracy' which has been alluded to here but there is no way in hell a key player in his position can get an operation last week on his groin and be fit for the final? Pawlett has an injured ankle? He was never going to start the final and at best be a 2nd half sub. 2: The club have satisfied demand for Hampden and are not taking up extra tickets. I am not getting into argument with you or providing facts to appease your query. 3: Whilst recognising that you probably think the world is against Aberdeen and that all referees are 'against us' referees are I would guess normal football fans who have clubs and affiliations underneath all the match day duties. To be honest if you can't appreciate that without facts then too bad. .One other thing if you dont like my answers - tough shit. -

Supposedly Madden is a Rangers fan. By that logic we are going to win the cup then??? Joking aside all Referees have a club they support - all of them...... given they are football supporters themselves. There are a good few of them massive Dons fans as well. -

Lots of decisions at Pittodrie are made by former plod. Security considerations - the tickets were all upper South. Most of these guys making decisions (security people) are not Aberdeen fans. Same as singing section catastrophe - decisions made by security people inside Pittodrie. Given we had more tickets than Celtic it evens it up more or less but it would have made sense to have a half of any remaining available tickets. Plus the no tickets left SOLD OUT thing is a myth. Supporters club has been told they can get extra tickets if they want. So there is still tickets available through supporters clubs just not walk up at Pittodrie. Ref for Hampden SCF is Bobby Madden. -
Not playing in the final and neither is Pawlett.

Olomouc was a disorganised disgrace. Just saying though. 1st round 2nd leg is 6th and 2nd round 1st leg 13th. So not much of a holiday. Depth of teams involved mean its pot luck as well seeded or not. -

Negative: Would much rather have played in 1st round and got a quirky tie. Plus there is only a one week break between 2nd leg of the 1st round (6th July) and 1st leg of second round (13th July). There is no chance the players will get that much of a difference of time off - myth. The club also loses out on a 15k attendance from the home leg. The chances are we won't know our opponents until a week before the 1st leg tie. Last time we had same scenario - 2nd round entry we got beat 8-1 from Olomouc. Olomouc/KR played in 1st qualifying round and we did not know until a week beforehand it would be Olomouc we played - 1-5 hammering. Positive: Preparations with the players, rest for another week. Focusing on 2nd round tie. Avoiding a potential banana skin - Fola Esch and Shkëndija should have beaten us. The fact you can be seeded can be an advantage but given depth of teams that enter it's still easy to come out of the hat against the likes of Shkëndija as chances are all the incredibly poor teams get knocked out in the round 1. Need to avoid Huagasund IMO - mid season and good standard. -
Dundee United 1981-1987 were a brilliant team. Consistently good in Europe, lots of spectacular results and reached 1 UEFA final. Anyone that was at Pittodrie 1980's knows our games against them were titanic tussles with mind games, tactical battles and we had a brilliant rivalry with them. The rivalry with United was massive, far bigger than that with Celtic and Rangers.

Despite being a refuge for virtual chat, anonymous rants and various conspiracy theories about your club, football forums also tend to be populated by people guessing identities. In the case of Donstalk / Aberdeen Mad there has always been a sense of 'fa is he/she' behind things despite the integrity of anonimity being crucial to the entire thing. -

Not keen on it but it only lasts a year. As per previous seasons there is a feeling that shade of red of the top differs a little from red of shorts depending on light background. Looks like a training top rather than match day wear. Also should be white shorts and old AFC badge. Tradition.

I'd take that level of committment from us in the SCF any day of the week.

I thought we were by far the more dangerous team, more dominant and caused havoc in the Celtic defence. Unfortunately the game was over by then. No blame game for me, aside from catastrophic goalkeeping for 3rd. I would play two upfront in the cup final, get someone to man mark Brown and tackle harder than ever.

Hearts have a £1m shortfall on the new stand funding. Finances were all signed with Hearts hoping for a top 2 finish. They hoped to then sell 16k season tickets and increase number of FoH (Foundation of Hearts) debits to the club. But they are doing badly and fans nae happy. This means less season tickets sold, fans cancelling direct debit and finishing 5th means huge loss compared to 2nd. When Cathro took over they hoped for 2nd or 3rd - the stand was all signed off. They will now finish 5th. For finishing 2nd we get £2.2m for finishing 5th Hearts get something like £1.2m. That is more than a £1m gone in a puff of smoke. Hearts are busily now trying various things to raise the shortfall - this week they did a £20 a head thing called 'meet the manager' where fans met Cathro and asked questions a bit like 'black and gold' thing. I doubt this event raised a £1m but the club and FoH are now desperate and various other things are happening like selling bricks of the old stand upon demolition, selling old seats, signs etc etc which will raise a lot or auctioned them off. The stand will be ready in 3 - 4 months. I guess the rich wifie Budge who is the chairman will guarantee funds for the stand and help out given shortfall. It could be argued the model Hearts have in place is on a shoogly risky peg since 8,000 fans paying in money directly to the club (that is just a direct debit in as a gift) can cancel these direct debits at any time. They won't all cancel but couple of hundreds people pissed off with Cathro will mean loss lots of guaranteed money if they just cancel the direct debit. They have 14k season ticket holders and that is expected to drop next season. Aside from that its true, Hearts will not be able to match up to us in the transfer market. I'd presume given Cathro was appointed the model is to blend in youngsters. But having said that neither they or us will be paying transfer fees iso ts just which club can attract better players to a more stable, happy prosperous club. We are obviously a better team at the moment as they are permanently restrucuturing the team.
