  1. Everyone knows Rangers fans have a fair wedge of scum amongst them due to the culture of the club. This fixtures is bad occasion - got worse over the years. Know a fair few Reds who don't go due to the moronic behaviour on both sides. Seen toilets at Ibrox getting smashed about a few times as well by visiting Dons. In years gone past. This fixture is bile - pure bile. Hate-filled moronic songs on both sides from both sets of fans whether about Ibrox disaster, Durrant or 1690 or whatever pure utter moronic garbage.
  2. Don't normally comment on these threads. The Dons team collapsed - like a pack of playing cards being flicked. Very easy for 'Gers. This is clearly a team that enjoys playing together, good lads, they can be robust and put 7 past Dundee no bother. Confidence is key with them. But when it is a big occasion they have major troubles - seen it before in the Betfred Final, also saw it v Maribor at Pittodrie. The players lack big game pedigree when you need them. The reasons IMO are quite simple: 1: There is a no leader in that team, a clear leader. For some reason Shinnie is not allowed to be a leader (why?) Why the F-hell is Jack still the captain? 2: Taylor has height, powerful lad, good and tall but under pressure he goes to pieces. 3: Hayes and McGinn are best players in team - if they have off days or do not produce magic then struggle. 4: I would argue McInnes cannot install a big game mentality in the players. Can't seem to do it. They play Hibs in 2 weeks - I would remind you the last time they played them (LC at Easter Road October 2015) Dons were ripped to shreads and never turned up. Beaten 2-0. This is a very good Aberdeen side, deserves credit for brilliant run. But when crunch comes by god they often go to pieces. And it is very worrying with a semi final coming up.
  3. In hindsight, thanks for that. I will add 'Troll' to the list of things I have been called during this new stadium catastrophe: 'Scum' 'Hun' 'Fenian' 'Jimmy Saville Fan' 'Wifie fae Westhill' 'Charlie from No Kingsford' 'Not a Dons fan' 'Liar' The list is still growing but thanks for adding to it. Cheers now.
  4. Its now come to be me 'trolling' - really? You wouldn't happen to 'support' Kingsford would you?
  5. May I take the opportunity to remind and engage Oxfordshire Man with the news that Hibs have redeveloped the whole ground - not just the East Stand. The main stand was redeveloped 2003 or so. Easter Rd is totally different to how it looked in 1995. All of the stands are hemmed in by tenements, Albion Rd, Albion Place. In fact it is more hemmed in than Pittodrie. The pavements are smaller (shorter). Funnily enough there are flats that look exactly like the flats outside Pittodrie (new flats where the gasworks were) outside Easter Road - never stopped them knocking up that new stand. Many of them were against the old east stand/terrace being demolished - they liked it. As regards RDS being 'constricted' - constricted by what fresh air?? There is nothing in front of the RDS just as there was nothing in front of Beach End.
  6. Yes, that is the attitude. Westhill people have been appeased by AFC as the height of build has been 'lowered'. Honestly, absolutely f-ing desperate. What is it - 600 car park spaces in Arnhall or wherever it is. By the way, your 'roadshows' - pile of utter garbage. Half of the comments were made up by AFc staff as they went along. Kingsford is a pile of horse shit - pardon the pun.
  7. There are no houses across from Main Stand at Pittodrie Street (the council houses stop where the 'car park' starts. As regards Pittodrie being 'hemmed in' - simply not true. I drove down to Pittodrie yesterday. Walked down to RDS and measured how far there is between the start of the RDS and that pavement on Golf Road. Earlier this week I drove past Tynecastle. In building the HMFC new stand the JT's have much LESS room to develop than Aberdeen FC have. Stands these days are built UP and out - look at Tynecastle and what they are doing. In that space ALONE (behind the RDS) there is enough space to build a total new stand for fans - As in there is space for spectators, new dressing rooms, corporate suites, conference rooms, media zones and offices for AFCommunity Children. As to what someone else said - Eion Jess - the club making enemies - aye! Funny way to lead a project. They have chosen an unfortunate means of progressing this centre piece strategic project i.e. the Kingsford stadium. Alienating communities, nearby groups of people and pissing off fans (even those desperate to see club move on are getting pissed off with failed initiatives) while all the while creating mythical scenarios that there is 'no room' to rebuild & redevelop. You have to be kidding? Pittodrie has to the least traditionally hemmed in stadium around in the SPFL? Tynecastle is hemmed in like sardine can - Pittodrie there is loads of room! As regards 'utility' lines. Bollocks - its a readily technological enabled world. Within a few months a new Pittodrie can be routed and technologically enabled. If the club cannot organising re-route flushing toilets then - no hope. They keep saying Kingsford is based on Ashton Gate - that is hemmed in FFS!. Did not stop them redeveloping. And more - after walking down to the RDS I then went in a gate to the left of the RDS (wide open) behind the SS and the masses of space is incredible. There is so much space to the left of the RDS and behind SS (where away fans walk in) it makes the 'hemmed in' argument illogical. Hemmed in by a graveyard? There is loads of room before you even reach the graveyard. Speaking of 'evidence' (big theme on here) just where is the 'evidence' from the club i.e. workings, plans as to why Pittodrie cannot be redeveloped? Eh, where is it? I cannot see it. We are stakeholders - where is the evidence our home cannot be rebuilt? Or do the club just treat fans in the same way as they treat Westhill residents and ACC - with dismissive arrogant disdain? Just accept what we tell you and shut up. Eh, where are the workings AFC? Where are the plans - lets see them George. PROVE Pittodrie cannot be rebuilt! Prove it.
  8. Yes, Aberdeen City Council will 'just let Aberdeen FC have a stadium' just because they want to. Doesn't work that way mate. Fun times ahead.
  9. Hearts Stand is already well on the way to construction. Several buildings have been demolished and its being created in same way as Liverpool stand i.e. encased over old stand then workings done. Its being paid for by donations from Foundation of Hearts (direct debits from fans) and secured by the owner women who has all the cash. Given the new stand will be the centre point of the stadium - facilities, hospitality, conference rooms, ticket office, shop of course utilities, metrics are being re-routed. The toilets wont flush into the street.
  10. No Kingsford have not at anytime used these as valid arguments not for a stadium. These have not been presented to the Council as valid reasons against the Concept. Reasons put forward against the concept have been researched fully before the campaign began and include: Road issues Transport issues Local Plan As there is a big 'get facts right' ethos on here, please get your facts correct.
  11. Naturally, yes Kingsford like all the stadia concepts for AFC are driven by Milne. He did not get where he is, or make the money he has by not driving hard deals, buying land at knock down prices and building quick for sale houses. He has made himself a Millionaire doing this. On this occasion George Yule has been the patsy if you like for the whole thing. Milne found the land, drove a deal and its been over to Yule to report to the board how its being delivered. Now we are unstuck as the stadium design is in place but the infrastructure around it is a mess. The club can muddle on fooling themselves and fighting plans, regulations and road realities or they can back off and come up with plan D. There is no profit out for Milne over redeveloping Pittodrie. He makes money out of buying land, developing houses. What would he make out of redeveloping Pittodrie other than spending his own money? There are so so many solutions to Pittodrie conundrum but unfortunately you have Milne driving an agenda to move to another location. In this case he is simply not going to be able to at least not for years and years simply as Kingsford is a No No.
  12. Hearts, at this very moment, are building a new ÂŁ10 stand that backs onto McLeod Street - an inner city street. There is about a 5ft pavement separating the new stand from the road which is McLeod Street. That is not to mention that the stadium is cramped in by tenements in Gorgie/Dalry and a new technologically advanced school on Mcleod Street and a pub on the corner (Tynecastle Arms). May I remind people on here that they are rebuilding their home Tynecastle as 8,000 people put in ÂŁ10 upwards a week into a direct debit foundation investing ÂŁ5m in clubs future which is now reinvested in the stadia. Tynecastle is about the most cramped in stadium in Scotland, cramped in by tenements, a main road (Gorgie Road), shops, homes and a school adjacent to the new stand. That is not to mention one hundred year old utility lines (gas, electrics, BT) underneath the stand and in the streets which they now build on. They (Hearts) have not found excuses and propaganda (as Aberdeen have) to not rebuild the traditional home - they have went and done it and its a reality in September. Meanwhile at Aberdeen they will still be arguing over mythical stadium plans in Westhill come September, why Pittodrie CANNOT be rebuilt (funnily enough no one has ever produced facts as to why it can't) and still pissing about training on public parks. Of course Pittodrie can be rebuilt - its utter garbage that has been peddled by the club since 1999. They said that the former iconic gasworks could not be build on due to contamination and there are now flats on the very site which youth players and some staff live in! Pittodrie cannot be rebuilt as the club want the ÂŁ20m from its sale to build another place and put in place some ridiculous structured financial package to build a place that is not in Aberdeen.
  13. Derek McInnes has on numerous occasions recently made reference to the very poor state of the Pittodrie pitch. If you go to Pittodrie and have been recently it is in a very poor conditions. He has amongst others said 'The players deserve a much better surface than that'. No I have no MP3's to back this up. The pitch is getting neglected like every other part of the stadium is being neglected. Lack of investment.
  14. Hold on a minute. 100%AKS is an ordinary AFC punter DESPITE knee-jerk reaction that I was Charlie somebody, some wifie from Westhill or whatever. What has gone on here in reply to my original post/username is incredible. To quote "He has been presented with questions which he has failed to produce answers for" - WTF is this Aberdeen Sheriff Court? This is a football forum FFS not a case for the prosecution! This is a forum, to quote another poster basically 'a load of words' and opinions from ordinary Aberdeen Fans - fans who like anything in life have a variety of views on whether its NHS, EU, SNP or in this case Kingsford. I am not in the habit of fishing out MP3 clippets of audio to back when someone has said something. In this case that 'someone' being the executives (Milne and Yule) who have in the past said that if the club (AFC) do not move it will be the end of the club and the fans will not have a club to support. To deny they said this is not right - they said it not me on several occasions and in front of committees. Everyone knows Pittodrie has been left to wrack and ruin for ages despite us being the leader in the UK in terms of Stadium development back in the 1970's. Chris Anderson had the foresight to develop Pittodrie and the SPL concept long before anyone else did. At the time we were crowned Premier League Champions 1980 the stadium was being developed. For some reason since 1994 or so Pittodrie has been left to wrack and ruin. Even the carpets in RDS are disgusting. While many can cope with that the manager is getting clearly hugely peeved with the state of the playing surface the one commodity he has a right to expect better of - is it too much too ask for dedicated ground staff to look after the field??? What excuse have the resident brown nosers got for that? Dundee are supposed to be moving yet they can have a perfect playing surface with beautiful grass. Pittodrie pitch is a catastrophe. Everything inside Pittodrie (match day experience, tiolets, pitch, floodlights, stands) is and has been responsibility for the club to upgrade these over a period of time - they have done nothing. Against that I would remind you since 1999 (17 years) they have been driving a strategic concept to move stadium culminating in the current Kingsford fiasco - which is almost certainly going to get the dunt in June 2017? How much has all these failed concepts cost in total - Loriston, Bellfield, Kinsgford - must be over a ÂŁ1m? What are the club execs going to do post June 20th spin this out another 17 years saying that want to move? The manager is going to be pissed off and I can tell you all that the club will blame are people in Westill or blame the council. THE BOARD WHO RUN THE CLUB NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY - THEY NEED TO DELIVER! As regards 'upkeep costs' do you realise how much it will cost to upkeep, maintain and nurture multiple 3G pitches and the facilities at Kingsford especially in a place that will be very cold in winter. It will cost THREE times as much as they currently spend on Pittodrie. Basically the club are going round in circles - round and round in circles pissing off the manager currently (he is not stupid he can see that Kingsford is going to fail) and all the club want to do is chase stupid stadiums in Westhill. Meanwhile all the resident delusionalists on here want is 'actual evidence' for the prosecution. Gullible idiots.
  15. I have heard you cant build or rebuild the South Stand as the folk in the cemetery will be turning in their coffins. I have heard they can't lay a 3G pitch on the Pittodrie Street car park as the players will have nowhere to park 4x4 cars. I have heard that RDS cant be extended out eastwards any further as it will mean that wifie cannot sell programmes outside the RDS near Golf Road. I have heard you cannot build Main stand higher as the air is thinner. Excuses, after excuses after excuses after excuses....nae happy until the club moves to a cheap shit St Mirren Park in Westhill.
  16. 20,000 is being mentioned (e.g. in planning etc) as 20,000 is generally regarded by UEFA (at the moment) as the minimum required for certain types of fixtures of UEFA e.g. Europa League. Groups. I love this thread. Anything 'negative' in tone to Kingsford gets swept aside as 'just words' or if you state facts or views there are demands for 'actual visible sources' and 'facts' and even when you provide these its dismissed as 'not actually true'. You've been brainwashed by the club. Its like a little kangeroo court and red tinted virtual parliament on here. What you going to do on June 21st the morning after Kingsford gets dismissed - cry?
  17. Hi Tyrant, Hope well bud. I have already (on this thread) given 3 quotes from executives at AFC which were 12 years apart. In each of these quotes (from Mssrs Yule, Milne) they said that the club will 'die' and fans will 'not club have a club to follow' if the new stadiums does not come about. These are quotes from Milne and Yule (not me) - they said it. The problem with these quotes is I want to assure you is that there is a difference between words and outcomes. The club will not die and in fact the club (given there is a 12 year gap between the statements) has never really been in a healthier state. There is no chance if Kingsford fails the club will die. Its called propaganda. So there you have it, no need to lose patience the quotes already appear on this thread. That is about the best I can do mate unless you want MP3 recordings of them 'actually' saying these things - is that what you want?
  18. Its always been a polarised topic, and it is for many. George Yule and AFC have had hundreds of letters about this stadium question even more recently due to the whole thing being very clearly in trouble. This AFC Community Body - this is done nothing for them Kingsford. Bad publicity. For what its worth Kingsford means nothing to me neither does Loriston means anything and I know lots felt same way. Basically IMO the club should not be leaving Pittodrie - under any circumstances. The place needs redeveloped. Would Newcastle United fans (for example) want to leave St James park? Would Liverpool fans want to leave Anfield? Not really - these places are at the heart of the club. Its like anything in life, there is a diverse range of views. Those like me on one polar and others on other side that would do anything to move to Kingsford. In the middle though there are lots of people getting pissed off at this Kingsford fiasco. There are clearly bad noises now around the whole thing (people are not stupid they can read between the bluster on here) and I can guarantee you that Derek McInnes is getting more pissed off by the day.
  19. Getting boring now mate. Milne and Yule have on various occasions stated that the club is going to 'die' if stadiums fails.
  20. You are genuinely interested are you? “According to Aberdeen’s major shareholder and chairman, Stewart Milne, Pittodrie is now dragging the club back into the mire. He warned this week that Aberdeen must move – and move soon – or else the club will find themselves “in a very serious situation”. June, 2005. “If this bid fails and we can’t move, we face severe consequences for AFC. The negative impact to the region will be very substantial, and not only does the Club face a very bleak future, we also lose the opportunity to develop football in the region. The people of the region lose an opportunity to have a much needed world class community facility that not only plays a huge part in health and education, but also in attracting and anchoring people to the region” January 2011. “Aberdeen vice-chairman George Yule has warned the club could go to the wall if the proposed move to a new £50m stadium plan fails”, January 2017.
  21. In other shock news Madchester Don accuses another poster of using 'just a load of words' on a football forum. Jesus, things aint what they used to be...........
  22. ****Newsflash***** *****Newsflash for Garthbogie Gaz and, Manchester Man Edinburgh Don***** ACC / Local Plans / Local Development strategies / Memos long ago identified 'Loriston' and 'Kingslinks' as the preferred sites for a 'football stadium' for 'Aberdeen FC'. In the case of the latter it is next door to the current stadium. That is, as in - here are two preferred sites the council would like you to possibly develop on. The club, however, have chosen to progress with an alternative site as basically they do not want to pay for land especially paying the council. The alternative site (Kingsford) is near on now being another failed project. Why is this? This is verging on being a failed project as the club have failed to provide any sort of proper, reasonable transport plan alongside the 'admirable' efforts at a snazzy stadium which are at this stage just a load of computer generates graphics. In addition Aberdeenshire Council have vetoed it (not a single member of the committee voted in favour) and a host of other consultant committees have called out concerns (including flooding concerns) that the club now have less than 3 months to rectify. George Yule however, is still using local 'press' to hammer home nonsensical messages which can only be described as 'fake news'. In addition a number of other 'consultant committee' reports await filing with the original planning application. Amongst these are some from central Govt agencies which will almost (again) certainly call into question the validity of the whole project. Hope that clarifies.
  23. Anyone remember Seinfeld and 'George' and his imaginary House in the Hamptons? Delusion that he has some fancy place but in reality he has been lying about his finances for years. Everyone calls his bluff until he finally breaks down in tears and admits its all a myth. But everyone knew that anyway and nobody was fooled. Pretty soon George Yule is going to have to face the truth about Kingsford. No more fake news. I wonder if there will be tears. Yeah, I wonder how Charlie Allan at the EE is going to help Dod Yule with that one........
  24. There is more 'support' for Kingsford as the club have embarked upon a ridiculous propaganda campaign which (while we are on the topic) is not based on any rationale arguments i.e. the club is about to 'die' if it all falls through. People actually believe this? They have also used (again) glossy images, and the club website to promote and engaged anyone they can and package it all up as a 'community stadium' that will help the 'fantastic' work of AFCCT and help to attract 'better players'. Unusually they have also alienated a community and encouraged a huge well organised community backlash. We are attracting players from League 1 and League 2 - that is it. The money is not available training ground or not. Anyone not for Kingsford is and has been labelled 'sentimental' or has 'head in the sand' or like on here is 'not a Dons fan'. Once the Kingsford concept slips away I would not be the slightest bit surprised if Loriston is chosen again as site for development again. Its like a circle of disfunction.
