  1. I don't think he tries against celtic! I don't come to that conclusion without reason. He doesn't try against celtic and more people agree with that assessment than not and i can only assume that is because they don't think he tries against celtic. I don't know why you think he does try cos he doesn't!
  2. Was McMaster not supposed to be more akin to a 'European type player' therefore was probably too good for us really and his team mates weren't on his wave length which was the reason why he was a sub more often than not? Kept him back for our big Euro nights when he'd come into his own? That was all pretty much tongue in cheek but the sort of thing i remember listening to regarding McMaster.
  3. So at the mo we've got Sue being spit roasted by me and Gervaise with Sneckie on the sidelines pondering his next move.... I'm sure Buc will be along to lend a hand at some point.
  4. Can't think of anything where my opinion goes against everyone else's but i do agree with not liking Dodds but you canna nae like Dobbin! I must admit when Irvine started making his occasional appearance in the first team as God started to make fewer appearances i was dead against him, but i realised it was only because he was trying to fill the boots of God! Not an easy task i'm sure most would agree?! He did look suspect early on but i think he came ok and i'm delighted for him that he got the winning kick in the 1990 Scottish Cup. It obviously meant the world to him. As for Dodds... i honestly thought he was going to be the 'missing link'. After a drunken Sat afternoon watching the huns get pumped by Sampdoria in that Makita pre-season tournament they used to host i left the pub and went to the bookies straight across the road (fatal place for a bookies) and asked for odds on the Dons to win the treble. 80-1 i was quoted so handed over £10 fully expecting to be collecting my £810 in 10 months time. Little did i know at that time we had just singed a fucking Jonah! A fucking jinx! Cost me £10 and a lot of heart ache that wee shite!
  5. Saw Sue Pollard on the box last night and thought... 'i would ye ken...' Dinna expect her to be abdys cup of tea but she's got decent pins and mair than a handful.
  6. This subject makes my heart heavy. We all saw for ourselves that the back 4 against Partick was the most natural it's looked all season BUT... i just get that feeling DM will revert to type and have Considong at LB with Shinzaa in midfield. I really hope i'm wrong. The line up against ICT will be interesting because surely that line up will be repeated next week. You do your experimenting in the games prior to the cup final not during it. It's a real worry actually playing those hammer throwing highland huns as it should be a preview of our cup final team but you run the risk of injury with those hoors! I widna like to be DM just now. I'd line up with these guys too but i see the argument for Rooney starting as he's got a habit of grabbing a goal against the mankies, albiet often a consolation goal. I'd also leave McGinn in the mankies social club as that'll be where he's headed after the game. Lewis Logan O'Connor Considong Shinzaa Jack McLean Burns Maddison Hayes Stockley
  7. In/out: Oot - still in the bad books with the Mrs after last weekend Prematcher: Taking Mrs oot for lunch in attempt to be in good books for next weekend Match: Tuning into radio and following on @BTMAberdeen on twitter Postmatcher: Belated firework party in the street. Prediction: Straight back into wifes bad books due to some drunken shenanigans at fireworks party. Also think the Dandies will get a draaa'
  8. Ahhhhh... cheers for enlightening me Ten Caat.
  9. Ha ha, cheers for the advice Ten Caat and Rocket. I'd have moved overseas years ago if the Mrs would've agreed to it but obviously she wouldn't. Plus, the Dons don't play overseas so good reason to stay. Some good stuff there Rocket, patiently waiting for their management to tell me why i'm wrong to question their annual increases.
  10. Care to specify which man you consider to be uninspiring and stupid? There was quite a few mentioned in my post.
  11. I stay on this fairly newish estate in Inverurie, there's 78 houses in this estate and theres a couple of bits of 'communal ground'. There's a weegie company tasked with looking after these communal areas, it's written into the deeds, but in the 6 or 7 years since they've started charging for the upkeep their prices have risen 100%. Up 10% this last year! I've read through the deeds as best i can (i'm an offshore worker nae a legal jargon decipherererer) and what it says is that "charges shall not be permitted to increase for that year in the rate of inflation as measured by the UK Index of Basic Materials and Fuels as published in the Financial Times, London". So with that info i emailed them, adding a photo of said page in title deeds and added a link to 'the rate of inflation as measured by the UK Index of Basic Materials and Fuels'. They ignored me so i cancelled the direct debit. They sent a letter saying to pay it pronto and added on a 10% admin fee, the fucking arseholes! So i phoned them and was told to wait while their management looked into it. I'm currently still waiting. Obviously i'm nae best pleased with this and i've just spoken to a legal team member at Which? magazine who told me my best bet was to speak to the The Leasehold Advisory Service but turns out they only deal with England and Wales. Spoke to the Shire council and they're not interested as it's a private development.... Apparently if 75% of the house holders in this development got together we could vote them out sorta thing but of the 78 houses a few are leased for rent and there's quite a high turnover with sales, so it would just be a right pain in the arse. Where do you go from there? Keep paying these robbing fucking weegies cos it's easiest and no one wants to help?! Obviously paying for proper legal advise would defeat the purpose of complaining about having to pay nearly £300 a year. If anyone has any advice i'd love to hear it. Cheers.
  12. There's nothing in either of those first two pics that do anything to turn me on. I see there are a couple of switches that can be flicked... maybe mess about with her and getting her in the right mode will be enough to raise my temp for her.
  13. Looks like Ian Holloway is to be announced as QPR boss. If and when DM does leave us i also think Tommy Wright would do a sterling job for us. I'm not saying he's got a dazzling style of football about him but he most definitely installs a can do / winners mentality into his players. I also wondered about Michael O'Neil the Norn Ireland boss.... he's done a cracking job there. I wouldn't want big Eck, any time i've seen him on TV lately i've been left wondering wtf is going on with him. McIntyre and Archibald would be less than inspiring but then again you could say the same about Deek, so you never know.
  14. Jeez oh GB!!!! Look at some of the names above who have said NO.... proper desperados.... but you... i can hardly say it.... you have.... you have said.... YES?!?!?! :gonk:

    Andy Murray

Brilliant for Andy! He won't be giving a flying saucer as Worlds Number 1 sounds fooking awesome! This news has screwed up my afternoons entertainment tho... the bastard!
  16. Has there ever been a clean sweep of 'No's!' ?
  17. It's obviously good news that the club are making money but the dropping crowds is a worry. It's most likely to have dropped again this year if crowds so far are to be gauged. Last season we had two full houses against the dhims but this season we were 4k down for them, although we had a full house for the visit of the new boys. Is the reason apathy or is the oil down turn having an effect, combination of both or something else?
  18. Was very pleased with last nights match, really entertaining. I though O'Connor was a stick on for MOTM even without the goal. Stockley was aright but as Sutton pointed out i thought there were a couple of times he could have been more alert in the box. To me Rooney seems to be struggling just now, just not managing to get himself involved at all. Thought Shinzaa was quality at left back and seeing both him and Shay in the box sniffing about for a goal late in the match was superb. Big Considong also contributed well with some quality tackles. Wasn't so impressed with Jack, he is always available but some of his play was shockingly slow and his passes were trundling towards their targets. Defo needs to sharpen up. Big Joe in goals....

    Andy Murray

Can hardly believe that the results went Murrays way last night, delighted for him. But he's not there yet, good luck to him today, match starts some time after 15:30. The pressure will be on the SPOTY organisers if he wins and becomes world no.1.... good!
  20. I suppose if it was lying there naked with the legs akimbo...... i'd have to... stick a fucking harpoon in it and save any other poor soul from having to witness such disgusting sights! For clarity, that's a no!
  21. Haha... i thought i'd slip Davey boy in there to see if anyone else bothers to read through these lists of players.
  22. Brilliant topic! Big fan back in the day. Top favs were either Debbie Corrigan or Jenny Blythe (though she blotted her copy book by shagging Frank McAvennie) Other favs were Donna Ewin and Maria Whittaker.
  23. I'm nae sure i'd trust donsdafts prognosis having seen some of the things he's given a to on here.
  24. I'm now 45 and can't say i'm over the moon about the ageing process. My kids are 17 and 14 and i pretty much don't see them a great deal, never out their rooms. I can't believe i'm at this age already to be honest and i just feel the years are racing past. I do wonder if having worked offshore for over 16 years has got a lot to do with that.
