  1. I know what you mean and i did wonder how they could draw to an end a way of life for tens of thousands of people (i believe they think there are still 16,000-20,000 mafia still operating), but i didn't enjoy the ambiguity of the final scene of The Sopranos. I got the feeling Big T was away to get whacked.
  2. The ending of a TV series... it canna be an easy thing to do right. Banshee ended brilliantly, Californication ended well and so did The Office, but Breaking Bad and The Sopranos left me frustrated as hell. I've watched that ending to the Sopranos a few times, having read peoples opinions on what it's all about to see if i can see where they're coming from... it still drives me bonkers. The Walking Dead... how the hell is that going to end? Are they going to find a cure to the zombie virus (which seems unlikely after years of living like cavemen) or are they all just going to succumb and die?
  3. Canna just be me who sees a similarity?
  4. I've read this thread many many times and i couldn't possibly pick a fav... or even just 5! In no particular order... Leighton Miller Bett Rico Jess Weir Rowson Shearer Theo Hayes Mason
  5. Not sure if Hampden counts but that's mine. Used to like going to the old Parkheid and ayeBrokes, don't like going to any of the Dungdee clubs now due to cops being Swinecastle is aright but usually more hassle than it's worth. Perth is boring and so is Fester Road these days. Away days were much better when you could stand. Ten Caat, you must be fishing about meeting ICF in Edi!

    Andy Murray

I think Tyrant is right with his comments above. Just watched Andy steamroller the young French lad Puoille in Paris, classy showing.
  7. The last pic reminds me of Susan Boyle (i'll bet donsdaft has never heard of her!)... i would do SuBo so i suppose i'd do Isa as well. Anyone got any pics of Naveeds Mrs?
  8. What don't you agree with? That Shinnie can't expect to be called up or Mulgrew being picked to play a different position for Scotland from the one he played at the Manky Mob? If it's Shinnie, would you seriously pick him to play left back when you've got Teirney, Robertson and Wallace all regularly playing there whereas he's not played there once this season?
  9. TBF if it means Barry Bannan doesn't get a game i'm all for Broon starting, although i do understand the dissatisfaction with his inclusion. Steven Fletcher MUST have pictures of Strachan and McGhoo 69ing each other.... it's the only explanation to his inclusion. I fear the worst i really do. Plus i believe we'll be wearing the pink strip again.... it's enough to make you cry.
  10. I really don't think Shinnie has much to complain about regarding not getting called up. For a start he's a left back who never gets a game at left back, obviously through no fault of his own. Then you've got the fact we've got Teirney, Robertson, Wallace all playing in the role that he doesn't get a game in. I see the Scotland Sqaaad has just been announced.... Goalkeepers Craig Gordon (Celtic) Jack Hamilton (Heart of Midlothian) David Marshall (Hull City) Defenders Christophe Berra (Ipswich Town) Gordon Greer (Blackburn Rovers) Grant Hanley (Newcastle United) Stephen Kingsley (Swansea City) Russell Martin (Norwich City) Callum Paterson (Hearts) Lee Wallace (Rangers) Midfielders Ikechi Anya (Derby County) Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday) Scott Brown (Celtic) Oliver Burke (Red Bull Leipzig) Darren Fletcher (West Bromwich Albion) James Forrest (Celtic) James McArthur (Crystal Palace) John McGinn (Hibernian) James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion) Matt Ritchie (Newcastle United) Robert Snodgrass (Hull City) Forwards Steven Fletcher (Sheffield Wednesday) Leigh Griffiths (Celtic) Chris Martin (Derby County) Steven Naismith (Norwich City)
  11. I won't be surprised if he does win it. Just look at the last two big referendums here... both the 'Yes' campaign and the 'Stay' campaigns appeared to be in fairly strong positions then when it came to the crunch the voters supporting the team deemed to be lagging actually got up off their arse and voted as they knew they had to if they were to win, whereas the leading campaign voters thought it was in the bag and never bothered. So for the same reason i think everyone who supports Trump will be out there voting because they know they'll have to. Obviously that's just my take on things.
  12. Proper mongrel dogs going about in little packs. Even if a mongrel appears these days they've already thought of a name to give it a type, like Jugs (half Jack Russell half Pug) and Labradoddles (goes without explaining that one). Scamming hoors have got the cheek to charge pedigree prices too! Why no more Heinz (57 varieties) dogs?
  13. TBH i look at her and think meh... there's nothing about her that makes me want to poke her BUT..... if while i'm sat here on my sofa and she's upstairs roaring about needing poked i suppose i'd make the effort.
  14. Milk bottles on door steps. Why has the milk mannies disappeared? Folk still use milk so what's happened there? I used to deliver milk, loved it, jumping off the back of the truck believing it was doing about 30mph but in actual fact if it went any slower it would probably stall.... Great days and what seemed like good money as well. Enough to pay your train fare (if you got caught) and pay your way in to various fitba grounds around the country anyway.
  15. Fa's gann? I'm nae but i'll be watching in the pub with some red friends. I've only been to Firhill once and that was the Scottish Cup game back in 1990... what a day that was! I think DM might pull off another shocker and play his 0-0 team.... the one that struggles until he introduces a couple of subs half way through the second half where we'll hopefully scrape a winner. I don't see this being much of a spectacle for the telly as DM will be desperate to halt the losing run. Anyone see it any differently?
  16. Aye maybe the signs aren't so good without the red tinted specs and that's probably a good reason why the crowds are dropping. I think it may help DMs case if he were to be a bit less loyal to the likes of McLean and McGinn esp. Both are very good footballers on their day but neither are doing the biz at the mo therefore DM should be taking them out. For what it's worth i reckon both of those players are playing out of position, i think BOTH are best suited to the No10 role.
  17. 43 teams entered, like i said there must be a lot of sharks taking place. This week i scored high 60's and still dropped a place FFS!
  18. I'm going to add 'Youth Cultures'. When i first went to the academy ('83) there were still punks on the go, there was bikers and casuals, then came ravers and indie rockers, all easily identifiable by their clothing style. Obviously there were different youth cultures through the previous decades as well but these days what have you got?! They all seem to be stuck in their houses on their phones sending shit pics of themselves, leaving only to go to the gym for half an hour so they can take pics of themselves somewhere different. They all seem to be a bunch of fannies these days.
  19. Aye.... although i've never heard of her (i do remember the band), I'll bet Donsdaft has heard of her!
  20. Not one to bear grudges are we DD?
  21. I entered my team into the Donstalk League a few weeks ago.... thought i had a decent team but bloody hell i'm nowhere on this league. My be some right Fantasy League pros / sharks going about here.
  22. Encyclopedia sales mannies. - Nae need once you've got either access to the interweb or a wife and teenage kids. Locks on the hoose phone - was a common sight in the 70's & 80's. Neighbour would ask to use ours and leave 10p or 20p next to the phone afterwards for payment. Ariels on top of your telly - what a job it was to get that bastard thing in the right position and stay there Ford Capris - always wanted one, never going to have one now.
  23. Getting to that time of year again when we wonder if the establishment are going to be a bunch of fannies and pick someone as SPOTY just because they won a medal (or two) and have a 'love story' or not. Sorry, i'm getting ahead of myself.... I'm a massive fan of Andy Murray and consider this to be his best ever year so i can't see past him for the award but i just don't trust them down South to do the right thing. Obviously it's been an Olympic year and we've had some very good performers but surely Andy's efforts and accomplishments (he's closing in fast on the World No1 spot too) put him in the driving seat? Or are we going to have a joint effort for the Beebs darlings Kenny and Trott?
  24. Having read the replies i'm now thinking i've been overly generous to DM. RS and LA,D are spot on and have me realising i was over egging the fact we've qualified for the LCF without doing a great deal to get there. Perhaps i was too keen to keep an upbeat outlook after the game against the Dhims at the weekend.... I dread to think where we'd be without James Maddison this last few weeks. There's plenty i'd like to see DM change but he's not going to as he's stuck to the same formation for the last 2.5 years. 4-2-3-1 it is then, still think we'll be 2nd but that's as long as Maddison stays beyond January. If he doesn't.... 4th?! C+/B
  25. I give you Olivia Coleman Not a beauty but a damn fine set of chesticles. think she's just caught a load in the eye in the last pic.
